For comparison, we also study the corresponding variance squeezing and atomic inversion. Analytical results show that entropy squeezing is preferable to variance squeezing for zero atomic inversion. Moreover, for initial conditions of the system the relation between squeezing and photon transition number is also discussed. In this paper,the energy spectrum of the two-photon Jaynes-Cummings model(TPJCM) is calculated exactly in the non-rotating wave approximation(non-RWA),and we study the level-crossing problem by means of fidelity.A narrow peak of the fidelity is observed at the level-crossing point,which does not appear at the avoided-crossing point.Therefore fidelity is perfectly suited for detecting the level-crossing point in the energy spectrum. 展开更多

In this paper, the entanglement dynamics of a double two-photon Jaynes-Cummings model with Kerr-like medium is investigated. It is shown that initial entanglement has an interesting subsequent time evolution, including the so-called entanglement sudden death effect. It is also shown analytically that the Kerr-like medium can repress entanglement sudden death and enhance the degree of atom-atom entanglement. A more interesting fact is that the Kerr effect is more obvious when each of the two cavities with have the Kerr-like medium than only one of them with the Kerr-like medium. 展开更多

We study the quantum phase transition and entanglement in the Jaynes-Cummings model with squeezed light,utilize a special transformation method to obtain the analytical ground state of the model within the near-resonance regime,and numerically verify the validity of the analytical ground state.It is found that the ground state exhibits a first-order quantum phase transition at the critical point linearly induced by squeezed light,and the ground state entanglement reaches its maximum when the qubit-field coupling strength is large enough at the critical point. 展开更多

The properties of the field quantum entropy evolution in a system of a single-mode squeezed coherent state field interacting with a two-level atom is studied by utilizing the complete quantum theory, and we focus our attention on the discussion of the influences of field squeezing parameter γ, atomic distribution angle θ and coupling strength g between the field and the atom on the properties of the evolution of field quantum entropy. The results obtained from numerical calculation indicate that the amplitude of oscillation of field quantum entropy evolution decreases with the increasing of squeezing parameter γ, and that both atomic distribution angle θ and coupling strength g between the field and the atom can influence the periodicity of field quantum entropy evolution. 展开更多

The entanglement dynamics of two stretching vibrations in theoretically typical local- and normal-mode molecules and realistic molecules H2 O and SO2 in an algebraic model is studied in terms of the reduced-density linear entropy with initial entangled states taken to be two-mode squeezed vacuum states. It is shown that the behaviour of the entropy in theoretically typical molecules appears to be more regular than that in realistic ones, and that the entropy becomes irregular as the amplitude of two-mode squeezed vacuum states increases. For initial states with a small amplitude, it is demonstrated that the periodicity and the “classical” beat phenomenon of the entropy occur with the beat in theoretically typical molecules being more regular than that in realistic molecules H2O and SO2. 展开更多

By considering a double Jaynes-Cummings model, we investigate the dynamics of quantum correlations, such as the quantum discord and the entanglement, for two atoms in their respective noisy environments, and study the effect of the purity and the cavity temperature on the quantum correlations. The results show that the entanglement suffers sudden death and revival, however the quantum discord can still reveal the quantum correlations between the two atoms in the region where the entanglement is zero. Moreover, when the temperature of each cavity is high the entanglement dies out in a short time, but the quantum discord still survives for quite a long time. It means that the quantum discord is more resistant to environmental disturbance than the entanglement at higher temperatures. 展开更多

We investigate the effect of dipole-dipole interaction on the intrinsic decoherence of a system which consists of two two-level atoms and an optical cavity. The entanglement of the system is calculated by making use of concurrence. Our results show that the appropriate choice for the coupling constant Ω of dipole-dipole interaction can restrain the intrinsic deeoherenee of the system. We also find a special phenomenon. No matter what the value of γ is, the concurrence of system slowly increases and cannot exceed 0.71 when Ω= 1. 展开更多

Our results show that the squeezing degree and the persistence time of entropy squeezing of atomic polarization components greatly depend on the non-Hermiticity intensity in non-Hermitian operation. Especially, under a proper choice of non-Hermiticity parameters, the sustained optimal entropy squeezing of the atom can be generated even though the atom is initially prepared in a no entropy squeezing state. 展开更多

The interaction between atom A and cavity a may be described by using the typical Jaynes Cummings model, while that between the atom B and cavity b filled with a Kerr medium is of a two-photon process. For a certain initial atom entanglement state, there is an entanglement sudden death effect between the two atoms. The Kerr medium in the cavity b can effectively prevent the undesirable entanglement sudden death from occurring. A novel scheme is proposed to estimate three environmental parameters,the detuning,the temperature and the squeezing strength with one-qubit or two-qubit probes.Quantum Fisher information and the fidelity of the atom probes are calculated.When the detuning between the frequency of cavity field and the atomic transition frequency is estimated,the dynamics of quantum Fisher information shows oscillatory and rising behaviors.To estimate the temperature of the thermal reservoir,the one-qubit probe with the superposition initial state is more favorable than the two-qubit probe with the entangled initial state.When the squeezing strength of the squeezed vacuum reservoir is estimated,we find that the estimation precision is significantly improved by utilizing the two-qubit probe with the maximal entangled initial state.Our work provides a potential application in the open quantum system and quantum information processing. 展开更多
