A policy iteration algorithm of adaptive dynamic programming(ADP) is developed to solve the optimal tracking control for a class of discrete-time chaotic systems. By system transformations, the optimal tracking problem is transformed into an optimal regulation one. The policy iteration algorithm for discrete-time chaotic systems is first described. Then,the convergence and admissibility properties of the developed policy iteration algorithm are presented, which show that the transformed chaotic system can be stabilized under an arbitrary iterative control law and the iterative performance index function simultaneously converges to the optimum. By implementing the policy iteration algorithm via neural networks,the developed optimal tracking control scheme for chaotic systems is verified by a simulation. 展开更多

In the capacity planning of hydro-wind-solar power systems(CPHPS),it is crucial to use flexible hydropower to complement the variable wind-solar power.Hydropower units must be operated such that they avoid specific restricted operation zones,that is,forbidden zones(FZs),to avoid the risks associated with hydropower unit vibration.FZs cause limitations in terms of both the hydropower generation and flexible regulation in the hydro-wind-solar power systems.Therefore,it is essential to consider FZs when determining the optimal wind-solar power capacity that can be compensated by the hydropower.This study presents a mathematical model that incorporates the FZ constraints into the CPHPS problem.Firstly,the FZs of the hydropower units are converted into those of the hydropower plants based on set theory.Secondly,a mathematical model was formulated for the CPHPS,which couples the FZ constraints of hydropower plants with other operational constraints(e.g.,power balance constraints,new energy consumption limits,and hydropower generation functions).Thirdly,dynamic programming with successive approximations is employed to solve the proposed model.Lastly,case studies were conducted on the hydro-wind-solar system of the Qingshui River to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed model. 展开更多

To improve the deteriorated capacity gain and source recovery performance due to channel mismatch problem,this paper reports a research about blind separation method against channel mismatch in multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO) systems.The channel mismatch problem can be described as a channel with bounded fluctuant errors due to channel distortion or channel estimation errors.The problem of blind signal separation/extraction with channel mismatch is formulated as a cost function of blind source separation(BSS) subject to the second-order cone constraint,which can be called as second-order cone programing optimization problem.Then the resulting cost function is solved by approximate negentropy maximization using quasi-Newton iterative methods for blind separation/extraction source signals.Theoretical analysis demonstrates that the proposed algorithm has low computational complexity and improved performance advantages.Simulation results verify that the capacity gain and bit error rate(BER) performance of the proposed blind separation method is superior to those of the existing methods in MIMO systems with channel mismatch problem. 展开更多

The joint beamforming design challenge for dual-functional radar-communication systems is addressed in this paper.The base station in these systems is tasked with simultaneously sending shared signals for both multi-user communication and target sensing.The primary objective is to maximize the sum rate of multi-user communication,while also ensuring sufficient beampattern gain at particular angles that are of interest for sensing,all within the constraints of the transmit power budget.To tackle this complex non-convex problem,an effective algorithm that iteratively optimizes the joint beamformers is developed.This algorithm leverages the techniques of fractional programming and semidefinite relaxation to achieve its goals.The numerical results confirm the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. 展开更多

The convergence and stability of a value-iteration-based adaptive dynamic programming (ADP) algorithm are con- sidered for discrete-time nonlinear systems accompanied by a discounted quadric performance index. More importantly than sufficing to achieve a good approximate structure, the iterative feedback control law must guarantee the closed-loop stability. Specifically, it is firstly proved that the iterative value function sequence will precisely converge to the optimum. Secondly, the necessary and sufficient condition of the optimal value function serving as a Lyapunov function is investi- gated. We prove that for the case of infinite horizon, there exists a finite horizon length of which the iterative feedback control law will provide stability, and this increases the practicability of the proposed value iteration algorithm. Neural networks (NNs) are employed to approximate the value functions and the optimal feedback control laws, and the approach allows the implementation of the algorithm without knowing the internal dynamics of the system. Finally, a simulation example is employed to demonstrate the effectiveness of the developed optimal control method. 展开更多

Ship outfitting is a key process in shipbuilding.Efficient and high-quality ship outfitting is a top priority for modern shipyards.These activities are conducted at different stations of shipyards.The outfitting plan is one of the crucial issues in shipbuilding.In this paper,production scheduling and material ordering with endogenous uncertainty of the outfitting process are investigated.The uncertain factors in outfitting equipment production are usually decision-related,which leads to difficulties in addressing uncertainties in the outfitting production workshops before production is conducted according to plan.This uncertainty is regarded as endogenous uncertainty and can be treated as non-anticipativity constraints in the model.To address this problem,a stochastic two-stage programming model with endogenous uncertainty is established to optimize the outfitting job scheduling and raw material ordering process.A practical case of the shipyard of China Merchants Heavy Industry Co.,Ltd.is used to evaluate the performance of the proposed method.Satisfactory results are achieved at the lowest expected total cost as the complete kit rate of outfitting equipment is improved and emergency replenishment is reduced. 展开更多

Mitochondria,the most crucial energy-generating organelles in eukaryotic cells,play a pivotal role in regulating energy metabolism.However,their significance extends beyond this,as they are also indispensable in vital life processes such as cell proliferation,differentiation,immune responses,and redox balance.In response to various physiological signals or external stimuli,a sophisticated mitochondrial quality control(MQC)mechanism has evolved,encompassing key processes like mitochondrial biogenesis,mitochondrial dynamics,and mitophagy,which have garnered increasing attention from researchers to unveil their specific molecular mechanisms.In this review,we present a comprehensive summary of the primary mechanisms and functions of key regulators involved in major components of MQC.Furthermore,the critical physiological functions regulated by MQC and its diverse roles in the progression of various systemic diseases have been described in detail.We also discuss agonists or antagonists targeting MQC,aiming to explore potential therapeutic and research prospects by enhancing MQC to stabilize mitochondrial function. 展开更多

目前合成孔径雷达干涉测量(Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar,InSAR)技术已经广泛在工程监测、地质灾害监测等领域得到应用。文章基于Visual LISP语言,开发了可以将海量InSAR监测点数据批量导入至AutoCAD软件的插件。该插件将I... 目前合成孔径雷达干涉测量(Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar,InSAR)技术已经广泛在工程监测、地质灾害监测等领域得到应用。文章基于Visual LISP语言,开发了可以将海量InSAR监测点数据批量导入至AutoCAD软件的插件。该插件将InSAR成果数据文件进行关键信息提取,并实现了对成果数据中的坐标系统与工程设计常用的独立坐标系统的转换,将数值直接以数值文字的方式写入对应AutoCAD文件中,使监测数据与目标位置精确匹配。经实际工程数据导入应用测试,该插件实现56万条数据的导入仅需约90 s,极大降低了使用人员将监测数据导入工程图纸的工作量,提升了InSAR监测数据在工程应用上的效率。 展开更多

生命年金在养老金的提取阶段发挥了重要作用,它能够帮助人们有效应对长寿风险。考虑了连续时间下个人年金计划的随机模型,参保人的年金账户初始价值是提前确定的,而年金的给付取决于账户的财务状况。年金管理者在无风险资产和风险资产... 生命年金在养老金的提取阶段发挥了重要作用,它能够帮助人们有效应对长寿风险。考虑了连续时间下个人年金计划的随机模型,参保人的年金账户初始价值是提前确定的,而年金的给付取决于账户的财务状况。年金管理者在无风险资产和风险资产上进行投资以获取收益,调整年金给付水平并收取管理费,以保证该计划的稳定运行。在目标函数中我们考虑年金调整额与管理费加权乘积的效用最大化,并用Cobb-Douglas效用刻画参保人和管理者的风险偏好。通过随机控制理论建立优化问题的Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman方程,进而得到最优策略和价值函数的解析式。此外,我们将模型拓展到Epstein-Zin递归效用下的最优控制问题,发现了跨期替代弹性对年金给付调整和管理费的正向影响。最后通过数值算例分析了模型参数对最优策略的影响,并给出相应的经济解释,验证了该年金计划能够为参保人提供稳定的、持续的年金给付。 展开更多

Geometrical machining-features are recognized in the given cut region by using the maximum membership priciple about the fuzzy set. Depending on the IF-THEN rule and the fuzzy matching method, the rough information of the machining-process for high-speed milling (HSM) is extracted based on the database of machining-process for HSM. The optimization model of machining-process scheme is established to obtain shorter cut time, lower cost or higher surface quality. It is helpful to form successful cases for HSM. NC programming for HSM is realized according to optimized machining-process data from HSM cases selected by the optimization model and the extracted information of machining-process. 展开更多

Frequency sampling is one of the popular methods in FIR digital filter design. In the frequency sampling method the value of transition band samples, which are usually obtained by consulting a table, must be determined in order to make the attenuation within the stopband maximal. However, the value obtained by searching for table can not be ensured to be optimal. Evolutionary programming (EP), a multi agent stochastic optimization technique, can lead to global optimal solutions for complex problems. In this paper a new application of EP to frequency sampling method is introduced. Two examples of lowpass and bandpass FIR filters are presented, and the steps of EP realization and experimental results are given. Experimental results show that the value of transition band samples obtained by EP can be ensured to be optimal and the performance of the filter is improved. 展开更多
