Then the optimum parameters of the gourd-shaped surface texture were determined and the textures were processed on the stainless steel surface by the laser technology. The tribological performance of gourd-shaped surface texture was analyzed using the type of UMT2 tester, and compared with that of the regular circle surface texture and none-texture surface by considering the effect of sliding speeds and applied loads on the tribological performance. The texture-based representative volume element(TBRVE) is used in the crystal plasticity finite element model, where a given number of crystallographic orientations are obtained by means of discretizing the orientation distribution function(ODF) based on electron backscattered diffraction(EBSD) experiment data. Three-dimensional grains with different morphologies are generated on the basis of Voronoi tessellation. The PSO algorithm plays a significant role in identifying the material parameters and saving computational time. The macroscopic stress–strain curve is predicted based on CPFEM, where the simulation results are in good agreement with the experimental ones. Therefore, CPFEM is a powerful candidate for capturing the texture evolution and clarifying the inhomogeneous plastic deformation of polycrystalline Cu. The simulation results indicate that the <110> fiber texture is generated finally with the progression of plastic deformation. The inhomogeneous distribution of rotation angles lays the foundation for the inhomogeneous deformation of polycrystalline Cu in terms of grain scale.展开更多

If too much necessary spatial distribution information of color is lost in JSEG, it is difficult or even impossible for JSEG to segment image correctly. Enlightened from segmentation based on fuzzy theories, soft class-map is constracted to solve that problem. The definitions of values and other related ones are adjusted according to the soft class-map. With more detailed values obtained from soft class map, more color distribution information is preserved. Experiments on a synthetic image and many other color images illustrate that JSEG with soft class-map can solve efficiently the problem that in a region there may exist color gradual variation in a smooth transition. It is a more robust method especially for images which haven' t been heavily blurred near boundaries of underlying regions.展开更多

In addition, the corresponding friction coefficient of sample was obtained through friction and wear tests. The results show that the peak clipping and the valley filling were conducted on the grinding surface, which could improve the surface roughness effectively and make the grinding trench-type wear scar more uniform. Both the area ratio of groove and groove spacing increased initially and then decreased with the increase of the spindle speed or the feed in z-direction. As a kind of micro-process, the groove could influence the friction coefficient of sample surface, whose distribution was beneficial to the reduction of friction coefficient. Compared with the surface obtained through ordinary grinding, grooved surface morphology through spinning technology was more conductive to reduce the friction coefficient, which could be reduced by 25%. When the friction coefficient of sample was reduced to the minimum, the texture of groove corresponded had an optimal area ratio and an optimal groove spacing, 37.5% and 27.5 μm, respectively.展开更多

The microstructures and textures were investigated. The original coarse grains with an average grain size of 60 μm were refined to fine equiaxed grains with an average grain size of about 500 nm with mainly large grain boundaries. During the rolling, the intensities of copper texture C-{112}<111> and brass texture B-{011}<211> gradually increased, and most crystallites aggregated along the β and τ orientation lines. The orientation intensity reached the maximum value 26 when the foil was rolled to 500 μm, but significantly decreased to 16 when the thickness became 20 μm, and the texture mainly consisted of a rotation cubic texture RC-{100}<011>. With the combined forces including drawing, compressing and shearing, severe plastic deformation was obtained during the asymmetric rolling, promoting dynamic recrystallization at room temperature. Because of a combined force in the deformation zone and shear force along the normal direction, dynamic recrystallization occurs during the asymmetric rolling; therefore, the average grain size is significantly refined. The texture intensity of ultrathin strip first increases, i.e., work hardening, and then decreases mainly because of dynamic recrystallization.展开更多

Fractal geometry was introduced in the present work to accurately simulate transect contour curves of pervious concrete specimens through fractal interpolation. It is proved that its fractal dimension (D) can be adopted to measure the skid resistance on pervious concrete pavement, overcoming the shortcomings of both macrotexture depth (DT ) and British portable pendulum number (NBP). Combined with Fujikawa-Koike tire/road contact model, the optimization method of all surface textures was recommended for designing and constructing excellently skid-resistant and noise-absorptive pervious concrete pavement. In addition, evaluating of the abrasion process and attenuation of the surface textures on concrete pavement slabs was also the focus of this work based on accelerated abrasion test. Results show that the surface textures on pervious concrete pavement slabs is extremely durable, compared to those on conventional grooved or exposed aggregate concrete pavement slabs.展开更多

The work, based on texture technique, makes full use of seismic information in different directions and the difference of multi-traces, and proposes a novel methodology named the texture coherence algorithm for seismic reservoir characterization, for short TEC algorithm. Besides, in-line and cross-line directions, it also calculates seismic coherency in 45° and 135° directions deviating from in-line. First, we clearly propose an optimization method and a criterion which structure graylevel co-occurrence matrix parameters in TEC algorithm. Furthermore, the matrix to measure the difference between multi-traces is constructed by texture technique, resulting in horizontal constraints of texture coherence attribute. Compared with the C1 algorithm, the TEC algorithm based on graylevel matrix is of the feature that is multi-direction information fusion and keeps the simplicity and high speed, even it is of multi-trace horizontal constraint, leading to significantly improved resolution. The practical application of the TEC algorithm shows that the TEC attribute is superior to both the C1 attribute and amplitude attribute in identifying faults and channels, and it is as successful as the third generation coherence.展开更多

To accurately detect the edge and texture of metal image under this condition, a sub-pixel detection based on gradient entropy and adaptive four-order cubic convolution interpolation (GEAF-CCI) algorithm is proposed. This method mainly involves three procedures. Firstly, the gradient image is generated from the grey images by using gradient operator. Then, a dynamic threshold based on the maximum local gradient entropy (DTMLGE) algorithm is applied to distinguishing the edge and texture pixels from gradient images. Finally, the adaptive four-order cubic convolution interpolation (AF-CCI) algorithm is proposed for interpolating calculation of the target edges and textures according to their variation differences in different directions. The experimental result shows that the proposed algorithm can remove the jag and blur of the edges and textures, improve the edge positioning precision and reduce the false or missing detection rate.展开更多

The proposed models are given in a variational formulation with adaptive regularization norms for both the cartoon and texture parts. The adaptive behavior preserves key features such as object boundaries and textures while avoiding staircasing in what should be smooth regions. This decomposition is computed by minimizing a convex functional which depends on the two variables u and v, alternatively in each variable. By changing the assignment of orientations to finite elements, i.e. assigning the same set of orientations to all elements or different orientations to different elements, the influences of grain interaction on the formation of rolling textures were numerically simulated with this kind of crystal plasticity finite element model. The simulation results reveal that the grains without considering grain interaction rotate faster than those considering grain interaction, and the rotation of grain boundary is slowed down due to the grain interaction. For a good simulation more elements should be assigned to one grain, in which the effects of both the boundary and interior parts of grain contribute to the formation of rolling textures.展开更多

文摘Texture evolution and inhomogeneous deformation of polycrystalline Cu during uniaxial compression are investigated at the grain scale by combining crystal plasticity finite element method(CPFEM) with particle swarm optimization(PSO) algorithm. The inhomogeneous distribution of rotation angles lays the foundation for the inhomogeneous deformation of polycrystalline Cu in terms of grain scale.

文摘This work describes an experimental investigation into the influence of geometric micro-groove texture patterns on the tribological performance of stainless steel.Five geometries were studied:one with untextured and four with micro-groove textured making parallel, triangular, square and hexagonal patterns. The micro-groove textures were produced using an MFT-20laser system as well as a two-step laser surface texturing(LST)process.Tribological performance was measured using a pin-on-disk tribometer. The investigation showed that the two-step LST process could fabricate high-precision micro-grooves.The experimental data indicated that the micro-groove textured surfaces achieved the lower frictional coefficients than the untextured surface and the geometric patterns had significantly affected the tribological properties of samples in both lubricated and unlubricated states. The results were analyzed from the lubricant supplying and fluid dynamic pressure effect under lubricated conditions as well as abrasive capture and remove under dry friction conditions.

文摘The strength of cement-based materials, such as mortar, concrete and cement paste backfill(CPB),depends on its microstructures(e.g.pore structure and arrangement of particles and skeleton).Numerous studies on the relationship between strength and pore structure(e.g.,pore size and its distribution)were performed, but the micro-morphology characteristics have been rarely concerned.Texture describing the surface properties of the sample is a global feature, which is an effective way to quantify the micro-morphological properties. In statistical analysis,GLCM features and Tamura texture are the most representative methods for characterizing the texture features. The mechanical strength and section image of the backfill sample prepared from three different solid concentrations of paste were obtained by uniaxial compressive strength test and scanning electron microscope, respectively. The texture features of different SEM images were calculated based on image analysis technology, and then the correlation between these parameters and the strength was analyzed. It was proved that the method is effective in the quantitative analysis on the micro-morphology characteristics of CPB.There is a significant correlation between the texture features and the unconfined compressive strength, and the prediction of strength is feasible using texture parameters of the CPB microstructure.
文摘Color quantization is bound to lose spatial information of color distribution. It is a more robust method especially for images which haven' t been heavily blurred near boundaries of underlying regions.

文摘To analyze the influence of surface texture on friction properties of Crl2MoV', ordinary grinder and spinning technology were adopted to obtain the grooved surface morphology of samples, and then the impact of spindle speed and feed in z-direction on surface morphology in the process of spinning was studied. When the friction coefficient of sample was reduced to the minimum, the texture of groove corresponded had an optimal area ratio and an optimal groove spacing, 37.5% and 27.5 μm, respectively.
文摘Hydroplaning speed can be affected by pavement texture depth, thickness of water film, tire pressure and tread depth. In this study,to understand the influence of pavement texture on the hydroplaning speed,a new lab-scale apparatus has been designed and manufactured. The lack of proportion between linear movement of vehicle shaft and the wheel rotation was found to be a good index to determine hydroplaning threshold.A 5%drop in the ratio of wheel-to-axle rotation has been assumed as an index to determine hydroplaning threshold.Based on the measures,a simplified model was developed that is able to predict the hydroplaning speed depending on pavement's texture characteristics. The results indicated that a 77%increase in mean texture depth cause 9%increase in hydroplaning threshold speed.

文摘AA1060 aluminum foil was rolled from 4 mm to 20 μm by asymmetric rolling without intermediate annealing. The texture intensity of ultrathin strip first increases, i.e., work hardening, and then decreases mainly because of dynamic recrystallization.

文摘Surface textures had long been recognized as primary factors to provide the skid resistance on pavements; however, no measurement of skid resistance on pervious concrete pavement with various surface texture parameters had been made. Results show that the surface textures on pervious concrete pavement slabs is extremely durable, compared to those on conventional grooved or exposed aggregate concrete pavement slabs.

文摘The first generation coherence algorithm(namely C1 algorithm) is based on the statistical cross-correlation theory, which calculates the coherency of seismic data along both in-line and cross-line. The practical application of the TEC algorithm shows that the TEC attribute is superior to both the C1 attribute and amplitude attribute in identifying faults and channels, and it is as successful as the third generation coherence.

文摘The zinc casting is a complicated process with high temperature, high dust content and dynamic solidification. The experimental result shows that the proposed algorithm can remove the jag and blur of the edges and textures, improve the edge positioning precision and reduce the false or missing detection rate.
文摘New models for image decomposition are proposed which separate an image into a cartoon, consisting only of geometric objects, and an oscillatory component, consisting of textures or noise. Experimental results and comparisons to validate the proposed models are presented.

文摘A rate dependent crystal plasticity constitutive model considering self and latent hardening in finite element analysis was developed to simulate rolling textures of pure aluminum. For a good simulation more elements should be assigned to one grain, in which the effects of both the boundary and interior parts of grain contribute to the formation of rolling textures.
