The finite element analysis of the fretting behavior between a cylinder block and a main bearing cap is presented. The stresses, relative fretting slip, frettin g friction work parameter W and crack initiation location parameter Gon the fretting contact surface of the cylinder block are obtained and analyzed. It shows that the fretting fatigue problem of the cylinder block can be quantitat ively explained by WorG. The effects of pretightening force, friction factor and material combination of the cylinder block and the main bearing cap are studied. The computational results indicate that the fretting fatigue of the cylinder block can be allayed by increasing the elastic modulus of the cylinder block, but not by changing the other two factors. 展开更多

In this paper,the spline finite element method is developed to investigate free vibration problems of beams.The cubic B-spline functions are used to construct the displacement field.The assembly of elements and the introduction of boundary conditions follow the standard finite element procedure.The results under various boundary conditions are compared with those obtained by the exact method and the finite difference method.It shows that the results are in excellent agreement with the analytical results and much more accurate than the results obtained by the finite difference method,especially for higher order modes. 展开更多

Due to the current trend towards lightweight design in automotive industry,hollow stepped gear shafts for automobile and its radial forging process are widely investigated.Utilizing coupled finite element thermo-mechanical model,radial forging process of a hollow stepped gear shaft for automobile was simulated.The optimal combination of three process parameters including initial temperature,rotation rate and radial reduction was also selected using orthogonal design method.To examine the strain inhomogeneity of the forging workpiece,the strain inhomogeneity factor was introduced.The results reveal that the maximum effective strain and the minimum effective strain appeared in the outermost and innermost zones of different cross sections for the hollow stepped gear shaft,respectively.Optimal forging parameters are determined as a combination of initial temperature of 780°C,rotation rate of 21°/stroke and radial reduction of 3 mm. 展开更多

Determination of ballistic performance of an armor solution is a complicated task and evolved significantly with the application of finite element methods(FEM) in this research field.The traditional armor design studies performed with FEM requires sophisticated procedures and intensive computational effort,therefore simpler and accurate numerical approaches are always worthwhile to decrease armor development time.This study aims to apply a hybrid method using FEM simulation and artificial neural network(ANN) analysis to approximate ballistic limit thickness for armor steels.To achieve this objective,a predictive model based on the artificial neural networks is developed to determine ballistic resistance of high hardness armor steels against 7.62 mm armor piercing ammunition.In this methodology,the FEM simulations are used to create training cases for Multilayer Perceptron(MLP) three layer networks.In order to validate FE simulation methodology,ballistic shot tests on 20 mm thickness target were performed according to standard Stanag 4569.Afterwards,the successfully trained ANN(s) is used to predict the ballistic limit thickness of 500 HB high hardness steel armor.Results show that even with limited number of data,FEM-ANN approach can be used to predict ballistic penetration depth with adequate accuracy. 展开更多

Cross-wedge rolling (CWR) is a metal process of ro ta ry forming. To produce a part, one cylindrical billet should be placed between t wo counterrotating and wedge-shape dies, which move tangentially relative each other. The billet suffers plastic deformation (essentially, localized compressio n) during its rotation between the rotating dies. Compared to other numerical si mulation methods, the finite element method (FEM) has advantages in solving gene ral problems with complex shapes of the formed parts. In cross-wedge rolling, t here are four stages in the workpiece deformation process, namely knifing, guidi ng, stretching and sizing stage. It is time-consuming and expensive to design t he CWR process by trial and error method. The application of numerical simul ation for the CWR process will help engineers to efficiently improve the process development. Tselikov, Hayama, Jain and Kobayashi, and Higashimo applied the sl ip-line theory in study of CWR process analysis. Zb.pater studied CWR process i ncluding upsetting by upper-bound method. The above numerical simulation were b ased on the two-dimensional plain-strain assumption ignored the metal flow in workpiece axial direction. Therefore, the complex three-dimensional stress and deformation involved in CWR processes were not presented. Compared to other nume rical simulation methods, the finite element method (FEM) has advantages in solv ing general problems with complex shapes of the formed parts. As yet, a few 3-D finite element simulation studies on CWR process have been reported in literatu res. In this paper, the process of cross wedge rolling (CWR) has been simulated and analyzed by 3D rigid-plastic finite element method. Considering the charact eristic of CWR, the static implicit FEM program is selected. The models proposed in this study uses the commercial code DEFORM 3D to simulate the CWR process. T his is an implicit Lagrangian finite element code, which includes many new enhan cements functions. A new method of utilizing multiple processors using the MPI s tandard has been implemented. Automatic switching between the two different defo rmation solvers (Sparse Solver and Conjugate Gradient Solver) has also been impl emented in order to increase the speed of simulations. In this paper, all stages in CWR process are simulated to be able to closely understand and analyze the a ctual CWR process. For simulating all forming stages in CWR process, the dynam ic adaptive remeshing technology for tetrahedral solid elements was applied. T he stress distributions in cross section of forming workpiece are analyzed to in terpret fracture or rarefaction in the center of workpiece. Cavity resonance noise of passenger car tires is generated by interacting excitation between a tire structure and the fill gas (air), and generally lies in a frequency range of 200?250 Hz. As such, this noise is strongly perceived and may be a serious source of driver annoyance. Thus, many studies regarding the cavity noise mechanism and its reduction have already been conducted. In this work, a vibro-acoustic coupled analysis was conducted between a tire structure and air cavity. Using this analysis, we can more accurately simulate the tire noise performance in the region of the cavity resonance frequency. An analysis of the effects of variation of tire contour design factors was conducted, using design-of-experiments methods. Finally, a multi-objective optimization was performed using in-house codes to reduce the cavity noise level while minimizing the loss of other performances, such as diminished ride comfort and handling caused by the variations of contour. As a result of this optimization, an optimized contour shape was derived, which satisfied the multi-objective performances. 展开更多

The compaction and stress generation on terrain were always investigated based on empirical approaches or testing methods for tire/soil interaction.However,the analysis should be performed for various tires and at different soil strengths.With the increasing capacity of numerical computers and simulation software,finite element modeling of tire/terrain interaction seems a good approach for predicting the effect of change on the parameters.In this work,an elaborated 3D model fully complianning with the geometry of radial tire 115/60R13 was established,using commercial code Solidwork Simulation.The hyper-elastic and incompressible rubber as tire main material was analyzed by Moony-Rivlin model.The Drucker-Prager yield criterion was used to model the soil compaction.Results show that the model realistically predicts the laboratory tests outputs of the modeled tire on the soft soil. 展开更多

This expression was compared with a test result made by the former researchers. The constitutive relationship of a transversely isotropic medium and Mohr-Coulomb criterion in which C and Ф vary with directions were employed, and a relative 3D elasto-plastic FEM code was developed, in which the important thing was to adopt a search-trial method to find the orientation angle (p) of shear failure plane (or weakest shear plane) with respect to the major principal stress as well as the corresponding C and Ф Taking an underground opening as the calculation object, the numerical analyses were carried out by using the FEM code for two cases of transversely isotropic rock and isotropic rock, respectively, and the computation results were compared. The results show that when the rock is a transversely isotropic one, the distributions of displacements, plastic zones and stress contours in the surrounding rock will be non-axisymmetric along the tunnel's vertical axis, which is very different from that of isotropic rock. The stability of the tunnel in transversely isotropic rock is relatively low. 展开更多

高位滑坡对建筑集群的冲击破坏时常导致严重的人员伤亡,基于光滑粒子流体动力学-离散元法-有限元法(smoothed particle hydrodynamics-discrete element method-finite element method,SPH-DEM-FEM)耦合的数值模型,开展了高位滑坡对框... 高位滑坡对建筑集群的冲击破坏时常导致严重的人员伤亡,基于光滑粒子流体动力学-离散元法-有限元法(smoothed particle hydrodynamics-discrete element method-finite element method,SPH-DEM-FEM)耦合的数值模型,开展了高位滑坡对框架结构建筑群的冲击过程、建筑结构破坏机理、冲击力时程与框架柱关键点应力和弯矩等动力机制研究。研究结果表明:SPH-DEM-FEM耦合数值方法能够有效地模拟碎石土滑坡中土(SPH)石(DEM)混合物的抛射弹跳、爬高绕流冲击运动过程。考虑了常规建筑垂直、平行于滑坡流向的三排建筑组合布局,位于滑坡近端的纵向排列建筑表现为连续性倾倒破坏,横向排列的建筑则呈现整体倾倒破坏;因前排建筑群对滑坡冲击能量的耗散及滑坡自身摩擦耗能,位于滑坡后端建筑表现为引流面墙体和前排柱发生局部破坏,结构保持稳定,损毁程度依次为上游无建筑缓冲耗能的建筑>有横向排列的建筑>有纵向排列的建筑;纵向、横向排列的建筑冲击力衰减幅度分别31%、21%。横向框架建筑整体倾倒的损毁机制表现为框架柱的直接剪断或节点塑形铰链失效;纵向框架建筑连续性倾倒的损毁机制表现为前排框架柱的失效引起后排框架柱轴向压力和极限弯矩增加,持续冲击荷载超过其极限弯矩致使后排框架柱发生弯曲破坏,最终结构倾倒。系统能量在动能、内能和摩擦耗能间转化,其中摩擦耗能占65.5%,结构耗能占23.6%,动能快速下降与内能急剧增加是建筑破坏的关键特征。 展开更多

The results indicated that this local shallow layer groundwater resources were rich and have the big development potential. When the tunnel underpasses through the building,it will cause deformation and even damage to the buildings above,and the deformation of building foundation is the key to building safety.Based on the engineering case,the theoretical analysis was employed to evaluate the influence of shield tunnel underpass construction on the stability of the building,and the optimal tunneling parameters in the field construction have been obtained through the verified theoretical model and parameter analysis.First,the strip foundation of the building was simplified to the Timoshenko beam,which was taken into account the shear effect,and then the deformation displacement of the soil at the same place of strip foundation was applied to the simplified Timoshenko beam.Finally,the numerical solution of the displacement of the strip foundation was obtained by using the finite element method and verified its reliability using Euler-Bernoulli beam theoretical model,field monitoring data,and numerical simulation.Parameters analysis for the deformation and internal force of strip foundation under different types of shield machine tunneling parameters showed that the influence of the pressure of shield excavation chamber,thrust of shield,and driving speed played an important role in the deformation of the building’s strip foundation and internal force. 展开更多

Dynamic probabilistic analysis of stress and deformation for bladed disk assemblies of aeroengine 被引量:3

In order to describe and control the stress distribution and total deformation of bladed disk assemblies used in the aeroengine, a highly efficient and precise method of probabilistic analysis which is called extremum response surface method(ERSM) is produced based on the previous deterministic analysis results with the finite element model(FEM). In this work, many key nonlinear factors, such as the dynamic feature of the temperature load, the centrifugal force and the boundary conditions, are taken into consideration for the model. The changing patterns with time of bladed disk assemblies about stress distribution and total deformation are obtained during the deterministic analysis, and at the same time, the largest deformation and stress nodes of bladed disk assemblies are found and taken as input target of probabilistic analysis in a scientific and reasonable way. Not only their reliability, historical sample, extreme response surface(ERS) and the cumulative probability distribution function but also their sensitivity and effect probability are obtained. Main factors affecting stress distribution and total deformation of bladed disk assemblies are investigated through the sensitivity analysis of the model. Finally, compared with the response surface method(RSM) and the Monte Carlo simulation(MCS), the results show that this new approach is effective. 展开更多

In order to reduce casualties and property losses in a collision accident, thin-walled structure has been extensively used as energy absorber in crashworthiness design of train. With the help of energy absorber, collision kinetic energy can be controllably dissipated by the plastic deformation of structures. A new kind of multi-cell thin-walled structure called as bitubular polygonal tubes with internal walls(BPTIW) was constructed. The crashworthiness characteristics of BPTIWs were investigated by LS-DYNA. It can be found that the BPTIW with 12 sides has the most excellent crashworthiness characteristics. Therefore, based on response surface method(RSM) and multiobjective particle optimization(MOPSO) algorithm, the BPTIW with 12 sides was selected to optimize the dimensions of cross-sectional configuration under different constraints of energy absorption(EA) and crushing peak force(CPF). The results show that the optimal designs of BPTIW12 under different constraints present excellent crashworthiness characteristics and can be used in the practical engineering. 展开更多

针对二维介质目标的电磁成像问题,将正余弦算法(Sine Cosine Algorithm,SCA)与有限元方法(Finite Element Method,FEM)和不变性测试方程(Measured Equation of Invariance,MEI)进行结合提出一种新的成像方法。将FEM与MEI进行结合求解二... 针对二维介质目标的电磁成像问题,将正余弦算法(Sine Cosine Algorithm,SCA)与有限元方法(Finite Element Method,FEM)和不变性测试方程(Measured Equation of Invariance,MEI)进行结合提出一种新的成像方法。将FEM与MEI进行结合求解二维介质目标的电磁散射正问题,即求解Helmholtz方程。其中,MEI保证边界截断的精度,FEM适用于复杂介质目标的准确模拟。对于电磁散射逆问题,引入SCA并加以改进提出一种新的重构方法。该方法采用等效原理与格林函数的渐近式求得远区散射场,以测量的散射场和计算的散射场最大偏差为目标函数,采用改进的SCA优化介质参数,使目标函数达到最小值,以此重构散射体。为提高计算效率,采用MPI算法进行并行计算。文中采用基准函数展示了改进的SCA算法的快速收敛性,并采用非规则的均匀介质柱目标验证了成像方法的正确性。 展开更多

荸荠机械采收及采后加工过程中常面临采收机械与荸荠间冲击而产生碰撞损伤等问题,为此采用Ansys软件开展荸荠冲击损伤的有限元仿真分析,以期获取提高荸荠机械采收与采后处理质量的途径与方法。根据试验测量荸荠本征参数,以线性弹塑性和... 荸荠机械采收及采后加工过程中常面临采收机械与荸荠间冲击而产生碰撞损伤等问题,为此采用Ansys软件开展荸荠冲击损伤的有限元仿真分析,以期获取提高荸荠机械采收与采后处理质量的途径与方法。根据试验测量荸荠本征参数,以线性弹塑性和主应变失效耦合模型建立荸荠材料模型,通过跌落试验标定并验证了模型参数,开展三因素三水平全因子杆条碰撞仿真试验探究跌落高度、碰撞接触面直径、碰撞材料对荸荠损伤的影响,并以考虑淤伤软化和破裂的损伤易感性评价标准建立了损伤易感性经验公式。测量得到荸荠果肉弹性模量、屈服强度、切线模量分别为7.916、0.586、4.554 MPa,主应变失效值为0.098,以失效网格体积和超过0.60 MPa应力区间体积对其冲击损伤分布进行模拟,淤伤体积、破裂体积及耗散能量与试验相对误差分别为7.18%、8.98%、6.62%,表明模型可用于描述荸荠在冲击载荷下的力学特性、破裂现象和能量耗散;杆条冲击试验结果表明,荸荠跌落高度与损伤易感性呈现线性增加关系,碰撞接触材料弹性模量对其损伤有显著影响,接触直径对损伤影响与接触材料有关,与结构钢碰撞时,损伤随直径增加出现先增大后减小现象,与PVC和橡胶碰撞时,损伤随接触直径增大而减小。研究结果可为荸荠机械化收获质量和采后处理技术与装备研究提供参考。 展开更多

钢结构具有低碳环保、轻质高强和抗震性能卓越等多重优势,目前已经广泛应用在高层建筑、大跨度建筑和一些民用建筑;但是其固有的易发生屈曲、腐蚀以及成本较高等问题阻碍了钢结构的进一步应用。目前关于钢结构防屈曲和防腐蚀的措施会大... 钢结构具有低碳环保、轻质高强和抗震性能卓越等多重优势,目前已经广泛应用在高层建筑、大跨度建筑和一些民用建筑;但是其固有的易发生屈曲、腐蚀以及成本较高等问题阻碍了钢结构的进一步应用。目前关于钢结构防屈曲和防腐蚀的措施会大大提高结构的成本并对结构承载能力带来一定的负面影响。超高性能混凝土(UHPC)是一种基于最大堆积密度理论的新型纤维增强水泥基复合材料,具有较高的强度和较强的变形能力,并且在抗水渗透性、抗氯离子渗透性以及抗冻融性等耐久性方面有着优异的性能。如今UHPC已经广泛应用于各种结构的力学加固以及耐久加固之中。近期的研究工作表明,将钢结构与UHPC结合使用,可以有效地实现两者的优势互补,在发挥钢结构轻质高强优异特征的同时,极大地减缓了疲劳、腐蚀和失稳对钢结构的危害。该文研究了一种已经广泛投入使用的工字钢外包薄层UHPC新型组合梁,并通过Abaqus有限元软件进行仿真分析建立样本数据库。同时利用雷达图法提出组合梁抗剪性能和抗剪性价比综合评价指标,采用响应面-蒙特卡罗法,共设计4种响应面对组合梁腹板尺寸参数进行分析。分析结果表明,组合梁的抗剪性能与其性价比之间存在显著的正相关性。此外,随着工字钢腹板厚度的增加,抗剪性能和性价比先增加后降低,并在某一特定厚度处达到峰值。该研究对于优化工字钢外包UHPC组合梁的设计具有重要的工程意义。 展开更多

针对高速铁路单洞双线盾构隧道的振动传播问题,建立轨道-隧道-场地的2.5维有限元-基本解耦合模型,采用有限元模拟轨道与盾构隧道结构,结合弹性空间格林函数表征围岩介质。通过计算移动轮轨力作用下的动力响应,结合弹性波理论分析振动传... 针对高速铁路单洞双线盾构隧道的振动传播问题,建立轨道-隧道-场地的2.5维有限元-基本解耦合模型,采用有限元模拟轨道与盾构隧道结构,结合弹性空间格林函数表征围岩介质。通过计算移动轮轨力作用下的动力响应,结合弹性波理论分析振动传播规律。结果表明:隧道上方场地的竖向振动由顶部纵波主导,两侧竖向振动由横波控制;当土层波阻抗从隧道围岩向地表递减时,隧道顶部扩散的柱面纵波经土层界面后趋近平面波特性,侧方横波经界面透射后竖向位移分量显著降低。单洞双线隧道振动分布呈现显著频率相关性:低频振动(0~20 Hz)在隧道正上方地表响应最大,高频振动(40~80 Hz)在偏离隧道中心线一定距离处达到峰值。隧道结构对20 Hz以上振动产生遮挡效应,导致下方围岩振动向上绕射衰减。地表竖向位移分布由频率相关的隧道辐射模式控制,分层土中的波阻抗变化使纵波成为地表振动主导成分。研究揭示了单洞双线盾构隧道振动传播的三维空间特性,明确了低频振动集中传播与高频振动侧向辐射的差异化规律,为城市高铁隧道减振设计提供理论依据。 展开更多
