Then, it is important to find the assembling of the optimal design variables, which satisfy the stiffimss and rotational speed required to the spindle. A general full factorial design method was used to verify some factors that affect the natural frequency of a spindle. It is verified that the shorter shaft length and bearing span length represent the higher natural frequency, and there are some effects according to the change in the levels of factors. The detailed spindle dimension is determined by applying an EVD method, which can define the optimal bearing position through considering the limiting condition. Based on the estimated regression model, the optimal spindle size and bearing distance that can improve the primary natural frequency are obtained, and the influence of design factors on the natural frequency is also analyzed.展开更多

In this part, a methodology based on 2 f factorial design was brought up to derive guidelines to simulate growth curve and production of sugars by Spirulina (Arthrospira) maxima . The growth curve or accumulation process of sugars was idealized by sets of straight lines limited by phase transfers of growth or accumulation of sugars. Normal analyses of the critical values of the transfers were used to derive their linear relationships with the initial conditions of the experimental factors. These linear functions were called guidelines and were used to simulate the growth curve or accumulation of sugars. Generalization of the guideline technique was determined by the kinetic limitation of nutrient nitrogen or sulfur that was dependent upon their stoichiometric deficiency directly derived from their initial values in the medium. This method uses the initial conditions of culture and does not need measurements of concentrations of nitrate, sulfate and pigments during cultivation. It is a practical and useful alternative way to trace and predict approximately the growth curve and production of sugars by S. maxima .展开更多

The high fluidity and stability of HFSC can be achieved by tailoring the mix design parameters, such as fine to coarse sand ratio, dosage of additions, water to binder ratio and dosage of admixtures. Mini-cone slump test, v-fl.mnel time test and viscosity model parameters were used to characterize the behaviour of HFSC in fresh state. The mechanical compressive strength in 28 d was also determined. A factorial design approach was used to establish models highlighting the effect of each mix-parameter on measured properties of HFSC. The derived models are valid for mixtures made with 0 to 0.3 of dune sand to total sand ratio, 82 to 418 kg/m3 of marble powder, 0.42 to 0.46 of water/binder ratio and 1.3% to 1.9% of superplasticizer high water-reducer. The results show that the derived models constitute very efficient means for understanding the influence of key mix-parameters on HFSC properties and are useful in selecting the optimum mix proportions, by simulating their impact on fluidity, stability and compressive strength.展开更多

Scoria was characterized by various methods, such as XRD, XRF, FT-IR and SEM. The results show that scoria sample contained augite, enstatite, diopside, and olivine. These minerals were separated from each other and each mineral was then subjected to the adsorption experiments. It was found that the main absorbent constituent in scoria was augite. Finally, statistical experimental method was used to optimization of adsorption conditions(Initial concentration of copper and cadmium ions, the amount of scoria and temperature) for removal of Cu(II) and Cd(II) ions from solution in optimum conditions. The optimum conditions are obtained as follows: concentrations of Cu(II) and Cd(II) of 400×10-6 and 554×10-6, respectively; amount of scoria of 7 g; temperature of 38 ℃. Under these conditions Cu(II) and Cd(II) ions are absorbed onto the scoria more than 79% and 16%, respectively.展开更多
