Experiments were conducted on China railway high speed electrical multiple units (EMUs) CRH2 and freight car C80 on Chongqing-Suining high-speed ballastless track. Based on the experimental results, the dynamics performance of cement concrete transition and cement stabilized aggregate transition was analyzed. The results show that the dynamic stress, vibration displacement, vibration velocity, vibration acceleration and other vibration parameters vary steadily on the profile section of transitions, and that at the adjoining position between subgrade and tunnel portal, cement concrete transition has gradual hardness change, whereas cement stabilized aggregate transition exhibits good elasticity, small shock, and small dynamic effect of the cars. 展开更多

The models were implemented in the ambit of the Matlab/Simulink environment, and an integrated simulation model was developed. The dynamic performance of the power shift clutch during engagement and disengagement was studied by using this assembly model. The sliding speed, torque transmitted through the clutch, and the rate at which energy is dissipated during the process were determined. Using this model, the calculation during simulation can be simplified. This lays a foundation for the dynamic performance research on the power train with the power shift clutch, and provides a powerful tool for developing an automatic, electronically controlled transmission. 展开更多

Energy-absorbing rockbolts have been widely adopted in burst-prone excavation support, and their serviceability is closely related to the frequency and magnitude of seismic events. In this research, the splittube drop test with varying impact energy was conducted to reproduce the dynamic performance of MP1rockbolts under a wide range of seismic event magnitudes. The test results showed that the impact process could be subdivided into four distinct stages, i.e. mobilization, strain hardening, plastic flow(ductile), and rebound stage, of which strain hardening and plastic flow are the primary energy absorbing stages. As the impact energy per drop increases from 8.1 to 46.7 k J, the strain rate of the shank varies between 1.20 and 2.70 s^(-1), and the average impact load is between 240 and 270kN, which may be considered as constant. The MP1 rockbolt has a cumulative maximum energy absorption(CMEA) of 31.9–40.0 k J/m, with an average of 35.0 k J/m, and the elongation rate is 11.4%–14.7%, with an average of 12.7%, both of which are negatively correlated with the impact energy per drop. Regression analysis shows that energy absorption and shank elongation, as well as momentum input and impact duration,conform to the linear relationship. The complete dynamic capacity envelope of MP1 rockbolts is proposed, which reflects the dynamic bearing capacity, elongation, and distinct stages. This study is helpful to better understand the dynamic characteristics of energy-absorbing rockbolts and assist design engineers in robust reinforcement systems design to mitigate rockburst damage in seismically active underground excavations. 展开更多

Implementing a CO2 flooding scheme successfully requires the capacity to get accurate information of reservoir dynamic performance and fluids injected. Despite some numerical simulation studies, the complicated drive mechanisms and actual reservoir performance have not been fully understood. There is a strong need to develop models from different perspectives to complement current simulators and provide valuable insights into the reservoir performance during CO2 flooding. The aim of this study is to develop a model by using an improved material balance equation (MBE) to analyze quickly the performance of CO2 flooding. After matching the historical field data the proposed model can be used to evaluate, monitor and predict the overall reservoir dynamic performance during CO2 flooding. In order to account accurately for the complex displacement process involving compositional effect and multiphase flow, the PVT properties and flowability of reservoir fluids are incorporated in the model. This study investigates the effects of a number of factors, such as reservoir pressure, the amount of CO2 injected, the CO2 partition ratios in reservoir fluids, the possibility of the existence of a free CO2 gas cap, the proportion of reservoir fluids contacted with CO2, the starting time of CO2 flooding, oil swelling, and oil flowability improvement by mixing with CO2. The model was used to analyze the CO2 flooding project in Weyburn oil field, Saskatchewan, Canada. This study shows that the proposed model is an effective complementary tool to analyze and monitor the overall reservoir performance during CO2 flooding. 展开更多

With further increasing in running speed of newer high-speed EMUs(electric multiple units),higher demand for wheelset dynamic balance is required.In order to study the influence of the dynamic unbalance of wheelset on the stability,ride quality,and curving performance for a high-speed car,a detailed dynamic model of a high-speed EMU car is established using the software SIMPACK.The analysis results indicate that the dynamic unbalance of the wheelset significantly influences the dynamic performance of the high-speed car.The increase in dynamic unbalance of the wheelset will decrease the hunting critical speed,worsen the vertical ride quality,and increase the wheelset lateral force,derailment coefficient,and wheel unloading ratio.Therefore,in order to improve the stability,ride quality,and running safety of high-speed car,the values of dynamic unbalance of wheelset should be strictly controlled in manufacturing,and periodically monitored in operation. 展开更多

Based on the dynamic model, a simulation system for the AUV's motion is established. The different kinds of typical motions are simulated to analyze the motion performance and the maneuverability of the AUV. In order to evaluate the influences of appendages on the motion performance of the AUV, simulations of the AUV with and without appendages are performed and compared. Static var compensators (SVCs) are adopted to mitigate voltage fluctuation and reduce the reactive power down to a level acceptable for the French/European 400 kV grid. A voltage feedback and load power feedforward controller for SVC is proposed, with the feedforward loop intended to guarantee short response time and the feedback loop ensuring good dynamics and steady characteristics of SVC. A mean filter was chosen to measure the control signals to improve the dynamic response. The dynamic performance of the SVC is verified by simulations using PSCAD/EMTDC codes. 展开更多

Linear electromagnetic actuators(LEAs) are widely used in tokamaks,but they are extremely sensitive to and are prone to fail in a high-strength stray magnetic field(SMF),which is usually a concomitant with tokamaks.In this paper,a multi-physics coupling analysis model of LEA,including magnetic field,electric circuit and mechanical motion,is proposed,and the dynamic characteristics of LEAs in SMFs are studied in detail based on the proposed model.The failure mechanism of LEAs in SMFs is revealed,and the influence of SMFs on the dynamic performance of LEAs is studied and quantified.It is shown that the failure threshold of the LEA selected in this work under the rated condition is 27 mT and 14 mT in the positive and negative direction,respectively.Under a typical SMF of 10 mT in the negative direction,the closing time of the LEA will be extended by 40%,while its opening time will be shortened by about 10%.Experimental tests are also conducted,which verify the validity of the proposed model and the analysis results.This paper provides a basis for the diamagnetic optimization design of LEA,and it is of great significance to ensure the reliable operation of the tokamak. 展开更多

The paper is aimed at developing an optimized design of the pantograph and catenary system with double pantographs at a speed of 350 km/h for the Wuhan-Guangzhou high-speed railway. First, the pantograph and catenary system for the Beijing-Tianjin high-speed railway was analyzed to verify whether its design objective could be fulfilled. It shows that the system is not able to satisfy the requirement of a sustainable running speed of 350 km/h. Then a new scheme for the pantograph and catenary system is proposed through optimization and renovation of the structure and parameters of the pantograph and catenary system, including the suspension type of the catenary, tension of the contact wire, and space between two pantographs. Finally, the dynamic performance of the new system was verified by simulation and line testing. The results show that the new scheme of the pantograph and catenary system for the Wuhan- Guangzhou high-speed railway is acceptable, in which the steady contact between the rear pantograph and the catenary at the space of 200 m can be maintained to ensure the current-collection quality. A current collection with double pantographs at a speed of 350 km/h or higher can be achieved. 展开更多

The response of system with the controller proposed is compared to that of the nonlinear optimal controller when the system is subjected to a variety of disturbances. A detailed description of the structure and mechanism of the lever-type damper is provided, followed by a stress analysis using the finite element method. Dynamic per- formance characteristics of the lever-type damper and the wedge-type damper are compared in terms of the nonlinear critical speed, riding index, and curve negotiation. The results indicate that the maximum stress of the lever remains below its yield limit. The lever-type car has higher running performance reliability, and achieves similar nonlinear critical speed, riding index, and curve negotiation when compared with the wedge-type car. 展开更多

In this paper, we exploit SDN(Software Defined Networking) advantages to solve delay Qo S problem. Our work mainly focuses on SDN based queuing delay estimation with real traffic and end-to-end delay control. First, we propose a queuing estimation model and extended it for end-to-end delay of the whole path. It is proved to be feasible and accurate with experimental results in SDN environment. Second, in order to demonstrate the use of our proposed model, we also implement an end-to-end delay control application in SDN. In tests on dynamic performance of high-speed trains, it is found that there is an unfavorable speed interval for some vehicles, which would he harmful to the daily operation of the vehicle. By analyzing the relationship of vibration frequencies of the vehicle and its running speed, this paper finds that the unfavorable speed interval is caused by the vibration superposition of the natural frequency of the vehicle system with the frequency of external excitation. Taking some electric multiple units (EMUs) as examples, we proposed an approach to obtaining the unfavorable speed interval of vehicles. By analyzing the relation between vibration frequencies and the running speed of the vehicle, the natural frequencies of the vehicle system and the external excitations are distinguished. In the end, we suggest some measures to minimize the negative influences of the unfavorable speed interval, such as shifting frequency, reducing or eliminating external excitation. 展开更多

To improve the dynamic performance of conventional deadbeat predictive current control(DPCC)under parameter mismatch,especially eliminate the current overshoot and oscillation during torque mutation,it is necessary to enhance the robustness of DPCC against various working conditions.However,the disturbance from parameter mismatch can deteriorate the dynamic performance.To deal with the above problem,firstly,traditional DPCC and the parameter sensitivity of DPCC are introduced and analyzed.Secondly,an extended state observer(ESO)combined with DPCC method is proposed,which can observe and suppress the disturbance due to various parameter mismatch.Thirdly,to improve the accuracy and stability of ESO,an adaptive extended state observer(AESO)using fuzzy controller based on ESO,is presented,and combined with DPCC method.The improved DPCC-AESO can switch the value of gain coefficients with fuzzy control,accelerating the current response speed and avoid the overshoot and oscillation,which improves the robustness and stability performance of SPMSM.Finally,the three methods,as well as conventional DPCC method,DPCC-ESO method,DPCC-AESO method,are comparatively analyzed in this paper.The effectiveness of the proposed two methods are verified by simulation and experimental results. 展开更多

Taking the rubber torsion bushing of a certain type of all-terrain tracked vehicle as the research object,a theoretical model of torsional stiffness was proposed according to the non-linear characteristics of rubber components and structural feature of the suspension. Simulations were carried out under different working conditions to obtain root mean square of vertical weighted acceleration as the evaluation index for ride performance of the all-terrain tracked vehicle,with a dynamics model of the whole vehicle based on the theoretical model of the torsional stiffness and standard road roughness as excitation input. Response surface method was used to establish the parametric optimization model of the torsional stiffness. The evaluation index showed that ride performance of the vehicle with optimized torsional stiffness model of suspension was improved compared with previous model fromexperiment. The torsional stiffness model of rubber bushing provided a theoretical basis for the design of the rubber torsion bushing in light tracked vehicles. 展开更多
