In order to solve the problem of enhancing the vehicle driving stability and safety,which has been the hot question researched by scientific and engineering in the vehicle industry,the new control method was investiga...In order to solve the problem of enhancing the vehicle driving stability and safety,which has been the hot question researched by scientific and engineering in the vehicle industry,the new control method was investigated.After the analysis of tire moving characteristics and the vehicle stress analysis,the tire model based on the extension pacejka magic formula which combined longitudinal motion and lateral motion was developed and a nonlinear vehicle dynamical stability model with seven freedoms was made.A new model reference adaptive control project which made the slip angle and yaw rate of vehicle body as the output and feedback variable in adjusting the torque of vehicle body to control the vehicle stability was designed.A simulation model was also built in Matlab/Simulink to evaluate this control project.It was made up of many mathematical subsystem models mainly including the tire model module,the yaw moment calculation module,the center of mass parameter calculation module,tire parameter calculation module of multiple and so forth.The severe lane change simulation result shows that this vehicle model and the model reference adaptive control method have an excellent performance.展开更多

Compared with the previ-ous works, our results have less conservativeness. Furthermore, based on the state partition of continuous and resetting parts of system, a hybrid feedback controller is constructed, which stabi-lizes the closed-loop systems in finite time. A series of centrifuge model tests of sandy slopes were conducted to study the dynamic behavior of pile-reinforced slopes subjected to various motions.Time histories of accelerations,bending moments and pile earth pre...A series of centrifuge model tests of sandy slopes were conducted to study the dynamic behavior of pile-reinforced slopes subjected to various motions.Time histories of accelerations,bending moments and pile earth pressures were obtained during excitation of the adjusted El Centro earthquake and a cyclic motion.Under a realistic earthquake,the overall response of the pile-reinforced slope is lower than that of the non-reinforced slope.The histories of bending moments and dynamic earth pressures reach their maximums soon after shaking started and then remain roughly stable until the end of shaking.Maximum moments occur at the height of 3.5 m,which is the deeper section of the pile,indicating the interface between the active loading and passive resistance regions.The dynamic earth pressures above the slope base steadily increase with the increase of height of pile.For the model under cyclic input motion,response amplitudes at different locations in the slope are almost the same,indicating no significant response amplification.Both the bending moment and earth pressure increase gradually over a long period.展开更多

The Mohr-Coulomb strength criterion was implemented into the code to describe the elasto-brittle behaviours of geomaterials while the solid-structure(reinforcing pile) interaction was simulated as an elasto-brittle material. The Weibull statistical approach was applied to describing the heterogeneity of geomaterials. As an application of general particle dynamics to slopes, the interaction between the slopes and the reinforcing pile was modelled. The contact between the geomaterials and the reinforcing pile was modelled by using the coupling condition associated with a Lennard-Jones repulsive force. The safety factor, corresponding to the minimum shear strength reduction factor "R", was obtained, and the slip surface of the slope was determined. The numerical results are in good agreement with those obtained from limit equilibrium method and finite element method. It indicates that the proposed geomaterial-structure interaction algorithm works well in the GPD framework.展开更多

It is not able to provide the real stress distribution of the st...Traditional rigid body limit equilibrium method (RBLEM) was adopted for the stability evaluation and analysis of rock slope under earthquake scenario. It is not able to provide the real stress distribution of the structure, while the strength reduction method relies on the arbitrary decision on the failure criteria. The dynamic limit equilibrium solution was proposed for the stability analysis of sliding block based on 3-D multi-grid method, by incorporating implicit stepping integration FEM. There are two independent meshes created in the analysis: One original 3-D FEM mesh is for the simulation of target structure and provides the stress time-history, while the other surface grid is for the simulation of sliding surface and could be selected and designed freely. As long as the stress time-history of the geotechnical structure under earthquake scenario is obtained based on 3-D nonlinear dynamic FEM analysis, the time-history of the force on sliding surface could be derived by projecting the stress time-history from 3-D FEM mesh to surface grid. After that, the safety factor time-history of the sliding block will be determined through applying limit equilibrium method. With those information in place, the structure's aseismatic stability ean be further studied. The above theory and method were also applied to the aseismatic stability analysis of Dagangshan arch dam's right bank high slope and compared with the the result generated by Quasi-static method. The comparative analysis reveals that the method not only raises the FEM's capability in accurate simulation of complicated geologic structure, but also increases the flexibility and comprehensiveness of limit equilibrium method. This method is reliable and recommended for further application in other real geotechnical engineering.展开更多
