The assembly of a protein complex is very important for its biological function,which can be investigated by determining the order of assembly/disassembly of its protein subunits.Although static structures of many pro...The assembly of a protein complex is very important for its biological function,which can be investigated by determining the order of assembly/disassembly of its protein subunits.Although static structures of many protein com-plexes are available in the protein data bank,their assembly/disassembly orders of subunits are largely unknown.In addition to experimental techniques for studying subcomplexes in the assembly/disassembly of a protein complex,computational methods can be used to predict the assembly/disassembly order.Since sampling is a nontrivial issue in simulating the assembly/disassembly process,coarse-grained simulations are more efficient than atomic simulations are.In this work,we developed computational protocols for predicting the assembly/disassembly orders of protein complexes via coarse-grained simulations.The protocols were illustrated via two protein complexes,and the predicted assembly/disassembly orders were consistent with the available experimental data.展开更多

It is used during the design stage for the analysis of maintainability of the aircraft. To solve product disassembly sequence planning problems efficiently, a product disassembly hybrid graph model, which describes the connection, non-connection and precedence relationships between the product parts, is established based on the characteristic of disassembly. Farther, the optimization model is provided to optimize disassembly sequence. And the solution methodology based on the genetic/simulated annealing algorithm with binaxy-tree algorithm is given. Finally, an example is analyzed in detail, and the result shows that the model is correct and efficient.展开更多

A 3-DOF four-point-elastic-su...As the stiffness of the elastic support varies with the physical-chemical erosion and mechanical friction, model catastrophe of a single degree-of-freedom(DOF) isolation system may occur. A 3-DOF four-point-elastic-support rigid plate(FERP) structure is presented to describe the catastrophic isolation system. Based on the newly-established structure, theoretical derivation for stiffness matrix calculation by free response(SMCby FR) and the method of stiffness identification by stiffness matrix disassembly(SIby SMD)are proposed. By integrating the SMCby FR and the SIby SMD and defining the stiffness assurance criterion(SAC), the procedures for stiffness identification of a FERP structure(SIFERP) are summarized. Then, a numerical example is adopted for the SIFERP validation, in which the simulated tested free response data are generated by the numerical methods, and operation for filtering noise is conducted to imitate the practical application. Results in the numerical example demonstrate the feasibility and accuracy of the developed SIFERP for stiffness identification.展开更多

The essence of maintainability design is to ex pect and solve possible maintenance problems at early stage during product devel opment, maintainability must be designed into product simultaneously. But curren t maintainability methods do not support concurrent engineering. This paper anal yzes the deficiencies of existing maintainability technologies, and introduces t he concept of maintainability analysis visualization. The two major deficiencies are that maintainability analysis time lags behind product design, and the main tainability techniques do not accommodate modern product design concepts. After this, the infrastructure of maintainability analysis visualization system is dis cussed. The system are composed of four subsystems, they are product modeling, d isassembly process modeling, simulation and analysis, and user interface. Produc t modeling is accomplished with the capability of CAD system, disassembly proces s modeling is mainly a reason process based on assembly information. The system is integrated into AutoCAD so that designer can timely analyze their product des ign from the viewpoint of easy maintenance. Human model generation function, hum an task analysis function, tool analysis function, visibility analysis function is implemented, disassembly process planning function is still under developing.展开更多

The end-of-life recycling and the disassembly were reviewed and discussed. A disassembly experiment of an end-of-life engine was carried out, which strictly recorded the process of dismantling. Based on the results, a model of the end-of-life recycling was presented. In this model, the end-of-life parts were classified by three ways which included to recycle directly, to recycle after remanufacturing and to discard. By using this model, the dismantling efficiency and the recycling rate can be improved. Also, it obtains a good result after used in a dismantling factory.展开更多
