The results showed that the X-ray diffraction(XRD)-based DIP method effectively analyzed the mineral composition contents and spatial distributions of granite. During the particle flow code(PFC2D) model calibration phase, the numerical simulation exhibited that the uniaxial compressive strength(UCS) value, elastic modulus(E), and failure pattern of the granite specimen in the UCS test were comparable to the experiment. By establishing 351 sets of numerical models and exploring the impacts of mineral composition on the mechanical properties of granite, it indicated that there was no negative correlation between quartz and feldspar for UCS, tensile strength(σ_(t)), and E. In contrast, mica had a significant negative correlation for UCS, σ_(t), and E. The presence of quartz increased the brittleness of granite, whereas the presence of mica and feldspar increased its ductility in UCS and direct tensile strength(DTS) tests. Varying contents of major mineral compositions in granite showed minor influence on the number of cracks in both UCS and DTS tests.展开更多

A novel DSP scheme for this optical super Nyquist filtering 9 Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (9 QAM) like signals based on muhimodulus equalization with out post filtering is proposed. This scheme recovers the Ny quist filtered Quadrature PhaseShift Keying (QPSK) signal to a 9QAMlike one. With this technique, SE can be increased to 4 b/s/Hz for QPSK signals. A novel digital superNyquist signal generation scheme is also proposed to further suppress the Nyquist signal bandwidth and reduce channel crosstalk without the need for optical prefiltering. Only optical cou plers are needed for superNyquist wavelengthdivisionmulti plexing (WDM) channel multiplexing. The stress distribution of the anchorage interface was investigated using the particle flow numerical simulation method. The results indicate that there are three stages in the deformation and fail- ure process of an anchorage structure: elastic bonding stage, a de-bonding stage and a failure stage. The stress distribution in the interface controls the stability of the structure. In the elastic bonding stage, the shear stress peak point of the interface is close to the loading end, and the displacement field gradually develops into a "V" shape, in the de-bonding stage, there is a shear stress plateau in the center of the anchorage section, and shear strain localization begins to form in the deformation field. In the failure stage, the bonding of the interface fails rapidly and the shear stress peak point moves to the anchorage free end. The anchorage structure moves integrally along the macro-cracl~ The de-bonding stage is a research focus in the deformation and failure process of an anchorage structure, and plays an important guiding role in roadway support design and prediction of the stability of the surrounding rock.展开更多

The results of the new method were verified through comparing with the manual measurement data.On this basis, the dynamic changes of the three-phase contact angles under flow conditions were clarified by the contact angles probability density curve and mean value change curve. The results show that, for water-wetting rocks, the mean value of the contact angles is acute angle during the early stage of the water flooding process, and it increases with the displacement time and becomes obtuse angle in the middle-late stage of displacement as the dominant force of oil phase gradually changes from viscous force to capillary force. The droplet flow in the remaining oil occurs in the central part of the pore throats, without three-phase contact angle. The contact angles for the porous flow and the columnar flow change slightly during the displacement and present as obtuse angles in view of mean values, which makes the remaining oil poorly movable and thus hard to be recovered. The mean value of the contact angle for the cluster flow tends to increase in the flooding process, which makes the remaining oil more difficult to be recovered. The contact angles for the membrane flow are mainly obtuse angles and reach the highest mean value in the late stage of displacement, which makes the remaining oil most difficult to be recovered. After displacement, the remaining oils under different flow regimes are just subjected to capillary force, with obtuse contact angles, and the wettability of the pore throat walls in the microfluidic model tends to be oil-wet under the action of crude oil.展开更多

Therefore, a method of evaluating the optical properties of the actual fibre is necessary for the purpose of application. Up to now, the methods employed to measure the properties of the actual photonic crystal fibre often require long fibre samples or complex expensive equipments. To our knowledge, there are few studies of modeling an actual photonic crystal fibre and evaluating its properties rapidly. In this paper, a novel method, based on the combination model of digital image processing and the finite element method, is proposed to rapidly model the optical properties of the actual photonic crystal fibre. Two kinds of photonic crystal fibres made by Crystal Fiber A/S are modeled. It is confirmed from numerical results that the proposed method is simple, rapid and accurate for evaluating the optical properties of the actual photonic crystal fibre without requiring complex equipment.展开更多

After displacement, the remaining oils under different flow regimes are just subjected to capillary force, with obtuse contact angles, and the wettability of the pore throat walls in the microfluidic model tends to be oil-wet under the action of crude oil.
文摘In this paper, the optical/digital fringe multiplication (O/DFM) is realized in projection moiré using digital image processing (DIP). Both deformed grating and reference grating are captured using a CCD camera. The reference grating can also be produced using DIP. With the O/DFM, the pattern is multiplied with an image processing software, which is developed using MATLAB 6.5. Also with DIP, the phase shifting can become much simpler, and the automation can be adopted. The multiplied pattern is much thinner and easier to read, and sensitivity of measurement can be enhanced.

文摘The heavy-ion accelerator facility(HIAF)under construction in China will produce various stable and intense radioactive beams with energies ranging from MeV/u to GeV/u.The ion-linac(iLinac)accelerator,which will serve as the injector for the HIAF,is a superconducting heavy-ion accelerator containing 13 cryomodules. It will operate in either continuous wave mode or pulsed mode, with a beam current ranging from 0.01 to 1 emA.The beam position monitor(BPM)is crucial for this high-beam-power machine, which requires precise beam control and a very small beam loss of less than 1 W/m,especially inside the cryomodules of this unique beam instrument.Nearly 70 BPMs will be installed on the iLinac.New digital beam position and phase measurement(DBPPM)electronics based on a heterogeneous multiprocessing platform system-on-chip(MPSoC)has been developed to provide accurate beam trajectory and phase measurements as well as beam interlocking signals for a fast machine protection system(MPS).The DBPPM comprises an analog front-end(AFE)board in field programmable gate array(FPGA)mezzanine-connector(FMC)form factor, along with a digital signal processing board housed within a “2U 19”chassis.To mitigate radio frequency(RF)leakage effects from high-power RF systems in certain scenarios, beam signals undergo simultaneous processing at both fundamental and second-harmonic frequencies.A dynamic range from-65 dBm to 0 dBm was established to accommodate both weak beam commissioning and high-intensity operational demands.Laboratory tests demonstrated that at input power levels exceeding-45 d Bm,the phase resolution surpasses 0.05°,and the position resolution exceeds 5μm.These results align well with the stipulated measurement requirements. Moreover, the newly developed DBPPM has self-testing and self-calibration functions that are highly helpful for the systematic evaluation of numerous electronic components and fault diagnosis equipment. In addition, the DBPPM electronics implements a 2D nonlinear polynomial correction on the FPGA and can collect accurate real-time position measurements at large beam offsets. This newly developed DBPPM electronics has been applied to several Linac machines, and the results from beam measurements show high performance, good long-term stability, and high reliability. In this paper,a detailed overview of the architecture, performance, and proof-of-principle measurement of the beams is presented.
文摘In order to maintain the overall social interest in land use and improve the level of land administration, an information system for land-use planning and management (ISLUPM) was established, which is composed of presentation layer, business logic layer and data layer in the general structure. The application support platform of the ISLUPM, built based on COM, COM + and .NET standard components, includes data engine, data management, assemblies, components management, operation management, and interface. Then, an elaboration was made on major functions of the ISLUPM, such as planning revision scheme, planning operation flow, digital processing, thematic analysis and inquiry, and preparation of the chart of reserved land resources. The developed system has been successfully applied to the land-use planning and management work of Longquanyi District, Chengdu, China. It may provide a reference for development of geographic information system (GIS) for land and resources.
文摘A novel and efficient approach for detecting wood texture orientation by computer was presented. Four Matlab functions were tried to describe the relative position and orientation of wood texture pixels, to detect texture shape and to create skeletal lines image of wood texture, and BWMORPH function was found the best one. Then by Radon transform, it generated a signature composed of 180 values, each value summing up the size of texture lines that are shaped along that angle, and a two dimensional curve plot was drawn to represent the texture orientation of wood. Furthermore, it analyzed texture orientations of forty species as well as their general statistic laws, classified by softwood, hardwood, radial section and tangential section, and the results showed that texture orientation laws described by Radon trans- form plot and their extracting datum were in accord with the impression of wood texture that people possessed in daily life, which con- firmed the validity of this new approach and their appealing utilization potentials.

文摘Reliable prediction of the shale fracturing process is a challenging problem in exploiting deep shale oil and gas resources.Complex fracture networks need to be artificially created to employ deep shale oil and gas reserves.Randomly distributed minerals and heterogeneities in shales significantly affect mechanical properties and fracturing behaviors in oil and gas exploitation.Describing the actual microstructure and associated heterogeneities in shales constitutes a significant challenge. The RFPA3D(rock failure process analysis parallel computing program)-based modeling approach is a promising numerical technique due to its unique capability to simulate the fracturing behavior of rocks. To improve traditional numerical technology and study crack propagation in shale on the microscopic scale,a combination of high-precision internal structure detection technology with the RFPA^(3D) numerical simulation method was developed to construct a real mineral structure-based modeling method.First,an improved digital image processing technique was developed to incorporate actual shale microstructures(focused ion beam scanning electron microscopy was used to capture shale microstructure images that reflect the distri-butions of different minerals)into the numerical model.Second, the effect of mineral inhomogeneity was considered by integrating the mineral statistical model obtained from the mineral nanoindentation experiments into the numerical model.By simulating a shale numerical model in which pyrite particles are wrapped by organic matter, the effects of shale microstructure and applied stress state on microcrack behavior and mechanical properties were investigated and analyzed. In this study, the effect of pyrite particles on fracture propagation was systematically analyzed and summarized for the first time. The results indicate that the distribution of minerals and initial defects dominated the fracture evolution and the failure mode.Cracks are generally initiated and propagated along the boundaries of hard mineral particles such as pyrite or in soft minerals such as organic matter.Locations with collections of hard minerals are more likely to produce complex fractures. This study provides a valuable method for un-derstanding the microfracture behavior of shales.

文摘The flexible structure of photonic crystal fibre not only offers novel optical properties but also brings some difficulties in keeping the fibre structure in the fabrication process which inevitably cause the optical properties of the resulting fibre to deviate from the designed properties. It is confirmed from numerical results that the proposed method is simple, rapid and accurate for evaluating the optical properties of the actual photonic crystal fibre without requiring complex equipment.
