The electricity-hydrogen integrated energy system(EH-IES)enables synergistic operation of electricity,heat,and hydrogen subsystems,supporting renewable energy integration and efficient multi-energy utilization in futu...The electricity-hydrogen integrated energy system(EH-IES)enables synergistic operation of electricity,heat,and hydrogen subsystems,supporting renewable energy integration and efficient multi-energy utilization in future low carbon societies.However,uncertainties from renewable energy and load variability threaten system safety and economy.Conventional chance-constrained programming(CCP)ensures reliable operation by limiting risk.However,increasing source-load uncertainties that can render CCP models infeasible and exacerbate operational risks.To address this,this paper proposes a risk-adjustable chance-constrained goal programming(RACCGP)model,integrating CCP and goal programming to balance risk and cost based on system risk assessment.An intelligent nonlinear goal programming method based on the state transition algorithm(STA)is developed,along with an improved discretized step transformation,to handle model nonlinearity and enhance computational efficiency.Experimental results show that the proposed model reduces costs while controlling risk compared to traditional CCP,and the solution method outperforms average sample sampling in efficiency and solution quality.展开更多

By utilizing the Lagrange multipliers technique, the known relation between the intermediate variables and the source location coordinates could be exploited to constrain the solution. And without requiring apriori knowledge of TDOA and FDOA measurement noises, the proposed algorithm can satisfy the demand of practical applications. Additionally, on basis of con- volute and polynomial rooting operations, the Lagrange multipliers can be obtained efficiently and robustly allowing real-time imple- mentation and global convergence. Simulation results show that the proposed estimator achieves remarkably better performance than the two-step weighted least square (WLS) approach especially for higher measurement noise level.展开更多

In each subperiod, the DNCOP is approximated by a static nonlinear constrained optimization problem (SNCOP). Second, for each SNCOP, inspired by the idea of multiobjective optimization, it is transformed into a static bi-objective optimization problem. As a result, the original DNCOP is approximately transformed into several static bi-objective optimization problems. Third, a new multiobjective evolutionary algorithm is proposed based on a new selection operator and an improved nonuniformity mutation operator. The simulation results indicate that the proposed algorithm is effective for DNCOP.展开更多

Different from the decentralized control strategy in multi-manipulator cooperation, the proposed decentralized position/force control scheme can be applied to series constrained reconfigurable manipulators. By multiplying each row of Jacobian matrix in the dynamics by contact force vector, the converted joint torque is obtained. Furthermore, using desired information of other joints instead of their actual values, the dynamics can be represented as a set of interconnected subsystems by model decomposition technique. An adaptive neural network controller is introduced to approximate the unknown dynamics of subsystem. The interconnection and the whole error term are removed by employing an adaptive sliding mode term. And then, the Lyapunov stability theory guarantees the stability of the closed-loop system. Finally, two reconfigurable manipulators with different configurations are employed to show the effectiveness of the proposed decentralized position/force control scheme.展开更多

In the generalized sidelobe canceller(GSC) structure, the proposed algorithms are devised according to the CCM criterion. Firstly, the cost function of the constrained optimization problem is transformed to suit the Kalman filter-style state space model. Then, the optimum weight vector of the beamformer can be estimated by using the recursive formulas of UKF. In addition, the a priori parameters of UKF(system and measurement noises) are processed adaptively in the implementation. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithms outperform the existing methods in terms of convergence speeds, output signal-tointerference-plus-noise ratios(SINRs), mean-square deviations(MSDs) and robustness against steering mismatch.展开更多

ABC-BBO combined the exploration of ABC algorithm with the exploitation of BBO algorithm effectively, and hence it can generate the promising candidate individuals. The proposed hybrid algorithm speeds up the convergence and improves the algorithm's performance. Several benchmark test functions and mechanical design problems are applied to verifying the effects of these improvements and it is demonstrated that the performance of this proposed ABC-BBO is superior to or at least highly competitive with other population-based optimization approaches.展开更多

The gun-track launch system is a new special launch device that connects the track outside the muzzle.Because it is constrained by the track,the characteristics of development of the muzzle jet differ from those of th...The gun-track launch system is a new special launch device that connects the track outside the muzzle.Because it is constrained by the track,the characteristics of development of the muzzle jet differ from those of the traditional muzzle jet.Specifically,it changes from freely developing to doing so in a constrained manner,where this results in an asymmetric direction of flow as well as spatio-temporal coupling-induced interference between various shock waves and the formation of vortices.In this background,the authors of this article formulate and consider the development and characteristics of evolution of the muzzle jet as it impacts a constrained moving body.We designed simulations to test the gun-track launch system,and established a numerical model based on the dynamic grid method to explore the development and characteristics of propagation of disturbances when the muzzle jet impacted a constrained moving body.We also considered models without a constrained track for the sake of comparison.The results showed that the muzzle jet assumed a circumferential asymmetric shape,and tended to develop in the area above the muzzle.Because the test platform was close to the ground,the muzzle jet was subjected to reflections from it that enhanced the development and evolution of various forms of shock waves and vortices in the muzzle jet to exacerbate its rate of distortion and asymmetric characteristics.This in turn led to significant differences in the changes in pressure at symmetric points that would otherwise have been identical.The results of a comparative analysis showed that the constrained track could hinder the influence of reflections from the ground on the muzzle jet to some extent,and could reduce the velocity of the shock waves inducing the motion of the muzzle as well as the Mach number of the moving body.The work here provides a theoretical basis and the requisite technical support for applications of the gun-track launch system.It also sheds light on the technical bottlenecks that need to be considered to recover high-value warheads.展开更多
This article makes the first attempt in assessing the influence of active constrained layer damping(ACLD)treatment towards precise control of frequency responses of functionally graded skew-magneto-electroelastic(FGSM...This article makes the first attempt in assessing the influence of active constrained layer damping(ACLD)treatment towards precise control of frequency responses of functionally graded skew-magneto-electroelastic(FGSMEE)plates by employing finite element methods.The materials are functionally graded across the thickness of the plate in terms of modest power-law distributions.The principal equations of motion of FGSMEE are derived via Hamilton’s principle and solved using condensation technique.The effect of ACLD patches are modelled by following the complex modulus approach(CMA).Additionally,distinctive emphasis is laid to evaluate the influence of geometrical skewness on the attenuation capabilities of the plate.The accuracy of the current analysis is corroborated with comparison of previous researches of similar kind.Additionally,a complete parametric study is directed to understand the combined impacts of various factors like coupling fields,patch location,fiber orientation of piezoelectric patch in association with skew angle and power-law index.展开更多
Constrained long-term production scheduling problem(CLTPSP) of open pit mines has been extensively studied in the past few decades due to its wide application in mining projects and the computational challenges it pos...Constrained long-term production scheduling problem(CLTPSP) of open pit mines has been extensively studied in the past few decades due to its wide application in mining projects and the computational challenges it poses become an NP-hard problem.This problem has major practical significance because the effectiveness of the schedules obtained has strong economical impact for any mining project.Despite of the rapid theoretical and technical advances in this field,heuristics is still the only viable approach for large scale industrial applications.This work presents an approach combining genetic algorithms(GAs) and Lagrangian relaxation(LR) to optimally determine the CLTPSP of open pit mines.GAs are stochastic,parallel search algorithms based on the natural selection and the process of evolution.LR method is known for handling large-scale separable problems; however,the convergence to the optimal solution can be slow.The proposed Lagrangian relaxation and genetic algorithms(LR-GAs) combines genetic algorithms into Lagrangian relaxation method to update the Lagrangian multipliers.This approach leads to improve the performance of Lagrangian relaxation method in solving CLTPSP.Numerical results demonstrate that the LR method using GAs to improve its performance speeding up the convergence.Subsequently,highly near-optimal solution to the CLTPSP can be achieved by the LR-GAs.展开更多
Evolutionary algorithms(EAs)were shown to be effective for complex constrained optimization problems.However,inflexible exploration in general EAs would lead to losing the global optimum nearby the ill-convergence reg...Evolutionary algorithms(EAs)were shown to be effective for complex constrained optimization problems.However,inflexible exploration in general EAs would lead to losing the global optimum nearby the ill-convergence regions.In this paper,we propose an iterative dynamic diversity evolutionary algorithm(IDDEA)with contractive subregions guiding exploitation through local extrema to the global optimum in suitable steps.In IDDEA,a novel optimum estimation strategy with multi-agents evolving diversely is suggested to e?ciently compute dominance trend and establish a subregion.In addition,a subregion converging iteration is designed to redistrict a smaller subregion in current subregion for next iteration,which is based on a special dominance estimation scheme.Meanwhile,an infimum penalty function is embedded into IDDEA to judge agents and penalize adaptively the unfeasible agents with the lowest fitness of feasible agents.Furthermore,several engineering design optimization problems taken from the specialized literature are successfully solved by the present algorithm with high reliable solutions.展开更多
Iterated local search(ILS)is used to construct the optimal experimental designs for multi-dimensional constrained spaces,in which the inner loop is based on the stochastic coordinate-exchange(SCE)algorithm.Every time ...Iterated local search(ILS)is used to construct the optimal experimental designs for multi-dimensional constrained spaces,in which the inner loop is based on the stochastic coordinate-exchange(SCE)algorithm.Every time a local optimal solution is found by the SCE algorithm,the perturbation operator is applied to it,and then a new solution is explored in the areas where the exchange of coordinates may produce improvement,so as to retain the features and attributes of the current optimal solution and avoid the defects of random restart.We implement the iterated local coordinate-exchange algorithm for experimental designs in the multi-dimensional constrained spaces.In addition,sensitivity analysis was conducted to analyze the impacts of the parameters on the performance of the proposed algorithm.Also we compared the performance of the proposed algorithm to the SCE algorithm using the random restart strategy.The analysis shows that the proposed algorithm is better than the SCE algorithm in terms of efficiency and quality,especially in the experimental designs for high-dimensional constrained space.展开更多

文摘This work proposes constrained constant modulus unscented Kalman filter(CCM-UKF) algorithm and its low-complexity version called reduced-rank constrained constant modulus unscented Kalman filter(RR-CCM-UKF) algorithm for blind adaptive beamforming. In the generalized sidelobe canceller(GSC) structure, the proposed algorithms are devised according to the CCM criterion. Firstly, the cost function of the constrained optimization problem is transformed to suit the Kalman filter-style state space model. Then, the optimum weight vector of the beamformer can be estimated by using the recursive formulas of UKF. In addition, the a priori parameters of UKF(system and measurement noises) are processed adaptively in the implementation. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithms outperform the existing methods in terms of convergence speeds, output signal-tointerference-plus-noise ratios(SINRs), mean-square deviations(MSDs) and robustness against steering mismatch.

文摘Constrained optimization problems are very important as they are encountered in many science and engineering applications.As a novel evolutionary computation technique,cuckoo search(CS) algorithm has attracted much attention and wide applications,owing to its easy implementation and quick convergence.A hybrid cuckoo pattern search algorithm(HCPS) with feasibility-based rule is proposed for solving constrained numerical and engineering design optimization problems.This algorithm can combine the stochastic exploration of the cuckoo search algorithm and the exploitation capability of the pattern search method.Simulation and comparisons based on several well-known benchmark test functions and structural design optimization problems demonstrate the effectiveness,efficiency and robustness of the proposed HCPS algorithm.
文摘Remarks on a benchmark nonlinear constrained optimization problem are made. Due to a citation error, two absolutely different results for the benchmark problem are obtained by independent researchers. Parallel simulated annealing using simplex method is employed in our study to solve the benchmark nonlinear constrained problem with mistaken formula and the best-known solution is obtained, whose optimality is testified by the Kuhn Tucker conditions.

文摘A novel hybrid algorithm named ABC-BBO, which integrates artificial bee colony(ABC) algorithm with biogeography-based optimization(BBO) algorithm, is proposed to solve constrained mechanical design problems. ABC-BBO combined the exploration of ABC algorithm with the exploitation of BBO algorithm effectively, and hence it can generate the promising candidate individuals. The proposed hybrid algorithm speeds up the convergence and improves the algorithm's performance. Several benchmark test functions and mechanical design problems are applied to verifying the effects of these improvements and it is demonstrated that the performance of this proposed ABC-BBO is superior to or at least highly competitive with other population-based optimization approaches.
文摘By extending the Levy wavefunction constrained search to Fock Space,one can define a wavefunction constrained search for electron densities in systems having noninteger number of electrons.For pure-state v-representable densities,the results are equivalent to what one would obtain with the zero-temperature grand canonical ensemble.In other cases,the wavefunction constrained search in Fock space presents an upper bound to the grand canonical ensemble functional.One advantage of the Fock-space wavefunction constrained search functional over the zero-temperature grand-canonical ensemble constrained search functional is that certain specific excited states(i.e.,those that are not ground-statev-representable) are the stationary points of the Fock-space functional.However,a potential disadvantage of the Fock-space constrained search functional is that it is not convex.
文摘The gun-track launch system is a new special launch device that connects the track outside the muzzle.Because it is constrained by the track,the characteristics of development of the muzzle jet differ from those of the traditional muzzle jet.Specifically,it changes from freely developing to doing so in a constrained manner,where this results in an asymmetric direction of flow as well as spatio-temporal coupling-induced interference between various shock waves and the formation of vortices.In this background,the authors of this article formulate and consider the development and characteristics of evolution of the muzzle jet as it impacts a constrained moving body.We designed simulations to test the gun-track launch system,and established a numerical model based on the dynamic grid method to explore the development and characteristics of propagation of disturbances when the muzzle jet impacted a constrained moving body.We also considered models without a constrained track for the sake of comparison.The results showed that the muzzle jet assumed a circumferential asymmetric shape,and tended to develop in the area above the muzzle.Because the test platform was close to the ground,the muzzle jet was subjected to reflections from it that enhanced the development and evolution of various forms of shock waves and vortices in the muzzle jet to exacerbate its rate of distortion and asymmetric characteristics.This in turn led to significant differences in the changes in pressure at symmetric points that would otherwise have been identical.The results of a comparative analysis showed that the constrained track could hinder the influence of reflections from the ground on the muzzle jet to some extent,and could reduce the velocity of the shock waves inducing the motion of the muzzle as well as the Mach number of the moving body.The work here provides a theoretical basis and the requisite technical support for applications of the gun-track launch system.It also sheds light on the technical bottlenecks that need to be considered to recover high-value warheads.
文摘This article makes the first attempt in assessing the influence of active constrained layer damping(ACLD)treatment towards precise control of frequency responses of functionally graded skew-magneto-electroelastic(FGSMEE)plates by employing finite element methods.The materials are functionally graded across the thickness of the plate in terms of modest power-law distributions.The principal equations of motion of FGSMEE are derived via Hamilton’s principle and solved using condensation technique.The effect of ACLD patches are modelled by following the complex modulus approach(CMA).Additionally,distinctive emphasis is laid to evaluate the influence of geometrical skewness on the attenuation capabilities of the plate.The accuracy of the current analysis is corroborated with comparison of previous researches of similar kind.Additionally,a complete parametric study is directed to understand the combined impacts of various factors like coupling fields,patch location,fiber orientation of piezoelectric patch in association with skew angle and power-law index.
文摘Constrained long-term production scheduling problem(CLTPSP) of open pit mines has been extensively studied in the past few decades due to its wide application in mining projects and the computational challenges it poses become an NP-hard problem.This problem has major practical significance because the effectiveness of the schedules obtained has strong economical impact for any mining project.Despite of the rapid theoretical and technical advances in this field,heuristics is still the only viable approach for large scale industrial applications.This work presents an approach combining genetic algorithms(GAs) and Lagrangian relaxation(LR) to optimally determine the CLTPSP of open pit mines.GAs are stochastic,parallel search algorithms based on the natural selection and the process of evolution.LR method is known for handling large-scale separable problems; however,the convergence to the optimal solution can be slow.The proposed Lagrangian relaxation and genetic algorithms(LR-GAs) combines genetic algorithms into Lagrangian relaxation method to update the Lagrangian multipliers.This approach leads to improve the performance of Lagrangian relaxation method in solving CLTPSP.Numerical results demonstrate that the LR method using GAs to improve its performance speeding up the convergence.Subsequently,highly near-optimal solution to the CLTPSP can be achieved by the LR-GAs.

文摘Evolutionary algorithms(EAs)were shown to be effective for complex constrained optimization problems.However,inflexible exploration in general EAs would lead to losing the global optimum nearby the ill-convergence regions.In this paper,we propose an iterative dynamic diversity evolutionary algorithm(IDDEA)with contractive subregions guiding exploitation through local extrema to the global optimum in suitable steps.In IDDEA,a novel optimum estimation strategy with multi-agents evolving diversely is suggested to e?ciently compute dominance trend and establish a subregion.In addition,a subregion converging iteration is designed to redistrict a smaller subregion in current subregion for next iteration,which is based on a special dominance estimation scheme.Meanwhile,an infimum penalty function is embedded into IDDEA to judge agents and penalize adaptively the unfeasible agents with the lowest fitness of feasible agents.Furthermore,several engineering design optimization problems taken from the specialized literature are successfully solved by the present algorithm with high reliable solutions.

文摘Iterated local search(ILS)is used to construct the optimal experimental designs for multi-dimensional constrained spaces,in which the inner loop is based on the stochastic coordinate-exchange(SCE)algorithm.Every time a local optimal solution is found by the SCE algorithm,the perturbation operator is applied to it,and then a new solution is explored in the areas where the exchange of coordinates may produce improvement,so as to retain the features and attributes of the current optimal solution and avoid the defects of random restart.We implement the iterated local coordinate-exchange algorithm for experimental designs in the multi-dimensional constrained spaces.In addition,sensitivity analysis was conducted to analyze the impacts of the parameters on the performance of the proposed algorithm.Also we compared the performance of the proposed algorithm to the SCE algorithm using the random restart strategy.The analysis shows that the proposed algorithm is better than the SCE algorithm in terms of efficiency and quality,especially in the experimental designs for high-dimensional constrained space.
