The quantitative model of atomic diffusion, which is related to the ultrasonic bonding parameters, time and distance, is established to calculate the atomic diffusion of the Al-Au interface. The maximum relative error between the calculated and experimental fraction of Al atom is 7.35%, indicating high prediction accuracy of this model. During the process of ultrasonic bonding, Au8Al3 is the main intermetallic compound (IMC) at the Al-Au interface. With larger bonding forces, higher ultrasonic powers and longer bonding time, it is more difficult to remove the oxide particles from the Al-Au interface, which hinders the atomic diffusion. Therefore, the complicated stress state and the existence of oxide particles both promotes the formation of holes. The shear strength of Al-Au ultrasonic bonding increases with increasing bonding force, ultrasonic power and bonding time. However, combined with the presence of holes at especial parameters, the optimal ultrasonic bonding parameter is confirmed to be a bonding force of 23 gf, ultrasonic power of 75 mW and bonding time of 21 ms.展开更多

Abonding assitant coat used below 850℃ was developed. It contained copper as basic element and zinc as main alloy element. Other small elements and rear metals were added to decrease the melting point and to obtain a better clouding and bigh plasticity. Based on the theory of brazing and transient liquid diffusion welding, two carbon steel plates were rolled with small reduction by using self-made bonding assistant coat. Temperature, pressure and holding time are the main technology parameters for controlling the process of diffusion-rolling. The results show that the bonding strength is the greatest when the bonding temperature is 830℃, holding time is 3 min and the reduction rate is 9%.展开更多

The bonding stress development of bars adhered to grout concrete was analyzed. The local bonding stress—slip curve was obtained. Based on the test results,a new bonding stress— slip constitutive model between bars and grout concrete was proposed. The results show that the maximum bonding stress is not influenced by the bar bond length, but it is strengthened when the splitting strength of grout concrete is increased. The model matches the experimental results well, and the regressing coefficient equals 1.7.展开更多

Test results show that the hot-humid exposure leads to the significant decrease in the joint strength and the change of the failure mode from a mixed cohesive and adhesive failure with cohesive failure being dominant to adhesive failure being dominant. Careful analyses of the results reveal that the physical bond is likely responsible for the bond adhesion between L adhesive and aluminum substrates. The reduction in joint strength and the change of the failure mode resulted from the degradation in bond adhesion, which was primarily attributed to the corrosion of aluminum substrate. In addition, the elevated temperature exposure significantly accelerated the corrosion reaction of aluminum, which accelerated the degradation in joint strength.展开更多
