The flow in the rotating combustion chamber is simulated at two different working speeds,0?r/min and 1?000?r/min by Fluent software. The temperature,gas velocity,static pressure of wall and fuel concentration are computed and compared. The results show that the combustion in rotating combustor is faster and more effective.展开更多

The results show that the maximum flame temperature is decreased, the temperature in the HTAC furnace is more uniform than that in the conventional furnace, and the NO x emission is low. The characteristic of easy sintering of aluminum nanoparticle(ANP)limits its application in solid propellants.Coating ANP with fluoropolymer could effectively improve its combustion performance.To find out how the coa...The characteristic of easy sintering of aluminum nanoparticle(ANP)limits its application in solid propellants.Coating ANP with fluoropolymer could effectively improve its combustion performance.To find out how the coating layer inhibits sintering and promotes complete combustion of particles from an atomic view,a comparative study has been done for bare ANP and PTFE coated ANP by using reactive molecular dynamics simulations.The sintering process is quantified by shrinkage ratio and gyration radius.Our results show that,at the same heating rate and combustion temperatures,bare ANPs are sintered together after the temperature exceeds the melting point of aluminum but the decomposition of PTFE coating layer pushes particles away and increases reaction surface area by producing small Al-F clusters.The sintering of ANPs which are heated in PTFE is alleviated compared with particles heated in oxygen,but particles still sinter together due to the lack of intimate contact between PTFE and alumina surface.The effect of temperature on the combustion of PTFE coated ANPs is also studied from 1000 to3500 K.The number density analysis shows the particles will not be sintered at any temperature.Aluminum fluoride prefers diffusing to the external space and the remained particles are mainly composed of Al,C and O.Fast ignition simulations are performed by adopting micro canonical ensemble.With the expansion of aluminum core and the melting of alumina shell,bare ANPs are sintered into a liquid particle directly.For PTFE coated ANPs,the volatilization of gaseous aluminum fluoride products continually endows particles opposite momentum.展开更多
By analyzing the characteristics of combustion and billet heating process, a 3-D transient computer fluid dynamic simulation system based on commercial software CFX4.3 and some self-programmed codes were developed to ...By analyzing the characteristics of combustion and billet heating process, a 3-D transient computer fluid dynamic simulation system based on commercial software CFX4.3 and some self-programmed codes were developed to simulate the thermal process in a continuous heating furnace using high temperature air combustion technology. The effects of different switching modes on injection entrancement of multi burners, combustion and billet heating process in furnace were analyzed numerically, and the computational results were compared with on-site measurement, which verified the practicability of this numerical simulation system. The results indicate that the flow pattern and distribution of temperature in regenerative reheating furnace with partial same-side-switching combustion mode are favorable to satisfy the high quality requirements of reheating, in which the terminal heating temperature of billets is more than 1 460 K and the temperature difference between two nodes is not more than 10 K. But since the surface average temperature of billets apart fi'om heating zone is only about 1 350 K and continued heating is needed in soaking zone, the design and operation of current state are still needed to be optimized to improve the temperature schedule of billet heating. The distribution of velocity and temperature in regenerative reheating furnace with same-side-switching combustion mode cannot satisfy the even and fast heating process. The terminal heating temperature of billets is lower than that of the former case by 30 K. Plasma jet has been widely used in supersonic combustor as an effective ignition and combustion assisted method,but currently it is mostly combined with the traditional wall fuel injection method,while the application...Plasma jet has been widely used in supersonic combustor as an effective ignition and combustion assisted method,but currently it is mostly combined with the traditional wall fuel injection method,while the application combined with the central fuel injection method is less.In order to expand the combustion range,the plasma jet was introduced into a strut-cavity combustor with an alternating-wedge.The effects of total pressure of strut fuel injection,total pressure of cavity fuel injection,total pressure of plasma jet injection and plasma jet media on the combustion characteristics were analyzed in supersonic flow by numerical calculations in a three-dimensional domain.The combustion field structure,wall pressure distribution,combustion efficiency and distribution of H2O at the exit of the combustor with different injection conditions were analyzed.The results show that the combustion efficiency decreases with the increase of the strut fuel injection total pressure.However,the combustion area downstream increases when the total pressure of the strut fuel injection increases within the proper range.The combustion range is expanded and the combustion efficiency is improved when the cavity fuel injection total pressure is increased within the range of 0.5−2.0 MPa,but a sharp drop in combustion efficiency can be found due to limited fuel mixing when the total injection pressure of the cavity fuel is excessively increased.With the increased total injection pressure of the plasma jet,the height of the cavity shear layer is raised and the equivalence ratio of the gas mixture in the cavity is improved.When the total pressure of the plasma jet is 1.25 MPa,the combustion efficiency reaches a maximum of 82.1%.The combustion-assisted effect of different plasma jet media is significantly different.When the medium of the plasma jet is O2,the combustion-assisted effect on the combustor is most significant.展开更多

First, m...Considering the fact that the temperature distribution in furnace of a tangential fired pulverized coal boiler is difficult to be measured and monitored, two-stage numerical simulation method was put forward. First, multi-field coupling simulation in typical work conditions was carried out off-line with the software CFX-4.3, and then the expression of temperature profile varying with operating parameter was obtained. According to real-time operating parameters, the temperature at arbitrary point of the furnace can be calculated by using this expression. Thus the temperature profile can be shown on-line and monitoring for combustion state in the furnace is realized. The simul-(ation) model was checked by the parameters measured in an operating boiler, (DG130-9.8/540.) The maximum of relative error is less than 12% and the absolute error is less than 120℃, which shows that the proposed two-stage simulation method is reliable and able to satisfy the requirement of industrial application.展开更多
