Different means of aerodynamic actuation, such as variations of the distance between discharge channels, the number of discharge channels, the DC discharge voltage, the angle of ramp, and the application of magnetic field, in a supersonic flow of M = 2.2 are employed. Results of both the schlieren and pressure test indicated that when the plasma aerodynamic actuation is applied, the starting point of the shock wave was shifted 1 mm to 8 mm upstream on average, the shock wave angle was reduced 470 to 8% on average, and the shock wave intensity was decreased by 8% to 26%. The local plasma aerodynamic actuation could generate an extrusive plasma layer with high temperature and pressure. This plasma layer caused an upstream-shift of the separating point of the boundary layer. which changed the structure of the original shock wave. Moreover, in a simulation study, the plasma aerodynamic actuation was simplified as a thermal source term added to the Navier-Stokes equations, after all, the results obtained showed consistency with the experimental results.展开更多

We focus our attention on the outflow problem when the flow velocity on the boundary is negative and we prove the stability of the viscous shock wave and its superposition with the boundary layer under some smallness conditions. Our waves occur in the subsonic area. The intrinsic properties of our system are more challenging in mathematical analysis, however, in the subsonic area, the lack of a boundary condition on the density provides us with a special manner for defining the shift for the viscous shock wave, and helps us to construct the asymptotic profiles successfully. New weighted energy estimates are introduced and the perturbations on the boundary are handled by some subtle estimates.展开更多

The flow-field and motion law of ISF, mathematics definition of strong viscous shear layer flow in ISF, ISF equations, wall-surface compatibility criteria (Gao's criteria ), space scale variety law of strong viscous shear layer reveals flow mechanism and local space small scale triggered by strong interaction that cause some abnormal severe local pneumatic heating phenomenon in hypersonic flow. Gao's ISF theory was used in near wall flow, free ISF flow simulation and design of computing grids, Gao's wall-surface criteria were used to verify calculation reliability and accuracy of near wall flows, ISF theory approximate analytical result of shock waves-boundary layer interac- tion and ISF equations were used to obtain the numerical exact solution of local area flow ( such as stationary point flow). Some new subjects, such as, improving near-wall turbulent models according to the turbulent flow simulation satisfying the wall-criteria and illustrating relation between grid-con- vergence based on the wall criteria and other convergence tactics, are suggested. The necessity of applying Gao's ISF theory and wall criteria is revealed. Difficulties and importance of hypersonic vis- cous/in-viscid interaction phenomenon were also emphasized.展开更多
