In terms of such implementation, this paper shows that the previously discussed S-L projection learning is inappropriate to constructing a family of projection learning, and proposes a new version called partial oblique projection (POP) learning. In POP learning, a function space is decomposed into two complementary subspaces, so that functions belonging to one of the subspaces can be completely estimated in noiseless case; while in noisy case, the dispersions are set to be the smallest. In addition, a general form of POP learning is presented and the results of a simulation are given.展开更多

Student reflections of the language project work have been analyzed through Activity Theory. Moreover,Data has been collected and categorized based on the components of complex human activity: the subject, object, tools(signs, symbols, and language), the community in which the activity take place, division of labor, and rules. The findings theoretically support the outcome of project-based language learning which align with the object of the activity.展开更多

Using the Lyapunov--Krasovskii functional stability theory, a differential-difference mixed parametric learning law and an adaptive learning control law are constructed to make the states of two different chaotic systems asymptotically synchronised. The scheme is successfully applied to the generalized projective synchronisation between the Lorenz system and Chen system. Moreover, numerical simulations results are used to verify the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.展开更多

However,LPP is based on the neighborhood graph artificially constructed from the original data, and the performance of LPP relies on how well the nearest neighbor criterion work in the original space. To address this issue,a novel DR algorithm, called the self-dependent LPP (sdLPP) is proposed. And it is based on the fact that the nearest neighbor criterion usually achieves better performance in LPP transformed space than that in the original space. Firstly,LPP is performed based on the typical neighborhood graph; then,a new neighborhood graph is constructed in LPP transformed space and repeats LPP. Furthermore,a new criterion, called the improved Laplacian score,is developed as an empirical reference for the discriminative power and the iterative termination. Finally, the feasibility and the effectiveness of the method are verified by several publicly available UCI and face data sets with promising results.展开更多
