Background The correlation among the ratios of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol/high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C/HDL-C), total cholesterol/high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(TC/HDL-C) and thin-cap fibroatheroma has not yet been established. Methods It was a single center, retrospective observational study. In total, we recruited 421 patients(82.4% men;mean age 65.73 ± 10.44 years) with one culprit vessel which determined by intravascular optical coherence tomography(OCT). The thinnest-capped fibroatheroma(TCFA) group was defined as lipid contents in > 2 quadrants, with the thinnest fibrous cap measuring less than 65 μm. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression were carried out to explore the relationship between lipoprotein ratios, TCFA and other characteristics of plaque. To compare different ratios, the area under curve(AUC) of receiver-operating characteristic(ROC) curve was assessed. Results OCT was performed in 421 patients(TCFA group(n = 109), non-TCFA group(n = 312)). LDL-C/HDL-C in the TCFA group was significantly higher than in the non-TCFA group(2.95 ± 1.20 vs. 2.43 ± 0.92, P < 0.05), as was TC/LDL in TCFA and non-TCFA group(4.57 ± 1.58 vs. 4.04 ± 1.13, P < 0.05). Both LDL-C/HDL-C(OR: 1.002(1.002-1.003), P < 0.05) and TC/HDL-C(OR: 1.001(1.001-1.004), P < 0.05) were considered independent factors for the prediction of TCFA according to the logistic regression. Based on the AUC comparison, LDL-C/HDL-C and TC/HDL-C had no significant difference statistically(LDL-C/HDL-C AUC: 0.63;TC/HDL-C AUC: 0.61;P = 0.10) for the prediction of TCFA. Conclusions LDL-C/HDL-C and TC/HDL-C could be the independent factors for predicting the presence of TCFA, indicating coronary plaque vulnerability in CAD patients. Moreover, TC/HDL-C also showed a comparative performance for the prediction of TCFA as LDL-C/HDL-C. 展开更多

OBJECTIVE To investigate the associations between the blood concentrations of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C)and the clinical features of haemorrhagic stroke.METHODS This study analysed the data from patients with acute haemorrhagic stroke at a comprehensive stroke centre from 2013 to 2018.Patients were stratified into three groups according to their baseline LDL-C levels:<70,70 to<100 and≥100 mg/dL.We used multivariate logistic regression models to analyse the associations between LDL-C and the risks of having severe neurological deficits(National Institute Health Stroke Scale[NIHSS]scores≥15)and unfavourable outcomes(modified Rankin Scale[mRS]scores>2)at discharge.RESULTS Six-hundred and six patients were analysed.Their median age was 58 years.Among the patients,75(12%)patients had LDL-C levels<70 mg/dL,194(32%)patients had LDL-C levels between 70 to<100 mg/dL and the other 337(56%)patients had LDL-C levels≥100 mg/dL.Patients with higher LDL-C levels were less likely to suffer severe neurological deficits(LDL-C:70 to<100 vs.<70 mg/dL,adjusted odds ratio[OR]:0.29,95%CI:0.15–0.57;LDL-C:≥100 vs.<70 mg/dL,adjusted OR=0.27,95%CI:0.15–0.51)and to have unfavourable outcomes at discharge(LDL-C:70 to<100 vs.<70 mg/dL,adjusted OR=0.50,95%CI:0.29–0.87 and LDL-C:≥100 vs.<70 mg/dL,adjusted OR=0.46,95%CI:0.28–0.78).CONCLUSIONS An LDL-C level<70 mg/dL was independently associated with severe neurological deficits of haemorrhagic stroke and may increase the risks of unfavourable outcomes at discharge. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Early control of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C)is crucial for reducing the progress of cardiovascular disease.However,its additional role to the risk of primary osteoporosis in men with coronary heart disease was inconclusive.Our study aims to determine the association of LDL-C and its trajectories for osteoporosis risk in the middle-aged and aged men of China.METHODS The retrospective cohort study of 1546 men aged 69.74±11.30 years conducted in Beijing,China from 2015 to 2022.And the incidence of primary osteoporosis was annually recorded.LDL-C trajectories were further identified by latent class growth model using repeated measurements of LDL-C.The association of baseline LDL-C for osteoporosis was estimated using hazard ratio(HR)with 95%CI in Cox proportional hazard model,while mean level and trajectories of LDL-C for osteoporosis were evaluated using odds ratio(OR)with 95%CI in logistic regression model.RESULTS During the median 6.2-year follow-up period,70 men developed primary osteoporosis.The higher level of baseline LDLC(HR=1.539,95%CI:1.012–2.342)and mean LDL-C(OR=2.190,95%CI:1.443–3.324)were associated with higher risk of osteoporosis in men with coronary heart disease after adjusted for covariates.Compared with those in the LDL-C trajectory of low-stable decrease,participants with medium-fluctuant trajectory,whose longitudinal LDL-C started with a medium LDL-C level and appeared an increase and then decrease,were negatively associated with osteoporosis risk(OR=2.451,95%CI:1.152–5.216).And participants with initially high LDL-C level and then a rapid decrease demonstrated a tendency towards reduced risk(OR=0.718,95%CI:0.212–2.437).CONCLUSIONS Elevated LDL-C level and its long-term fluctuation may increase the risk of primary osteoporosis in men.Early controlling a stable level of LDL-C is also essential for bone health. 展开更多

Hydraulic fracturing is a critical technology for the economic development of unconventional oil and gas reservoirs.The main factor influencing fracture propping and reservoir stimulation effect is proppant performance.The increasing depth of fractured oil and gas reservoirs is causing growing difficulty in hydraulic fracturing.Moreover,the migration of conventional proppants within the fracture is always limited due to small fracture width and rigid proppant structure.Thus,proppants with good transportation capacity and fracture propping effects are needed.First,a novel self-generated proppant based on toughened low-viscosity and low-density epoxy resin was developed to satisfy this demand.Then,proppant performances were evaluated.Low-viscosity and low-density epoxy resin was generated when the thiol-ene click chemical reaction product of eugenol and 1-thioglycerol reacts with the epichlorohydrin.Then,the resin was toughened with graphite particles to increase its compressive strength from50.8 to 72.1 MPa based on micro-cracking mechanism and crazing-nail anchor mechanism.The adduct of diethylene triamine and butyl glycidyl ether and the Si O2 nanoparticles were treated as the curing agent and emulsifier respectively to form the emulsion.The emulsion is transformed into solid particles of various sizes within a reservoir to prop the fracture.Evaluation shows good migration capacity of this self-generated proppant due to the low density of epoxy resin. 展开更多

The mass fraction of electrolytes is the crucial factor affecting the energy density of lithium-sulfur(Li-S)batteries. Due to the high porosity within the C/S cathode, high concentration of polysulfides, and side reaction in lithiun metal anode under lean electrolyte, it is extremely challenging to improve performance while reducing the electrolyte volume. Here, we report a novel electrolyte with relatively low density(1.16 g cm^(-2)), low viscosity(1.84 m Pa s), and high ionic conductivity, which significantly promotes energy density and cyclability of Li-S batteries under practical conditions. Moreover, such electrolyte enables a hybrid cathode electrolyte interphase(CEI) and solid electrolyte interface(SEI) layer with plentiful Li F, which leads to fast kinetics of ions transport and stable cyclability even under low temperatures.Compared to Li-S batteries in electrolyte employing 1,1,2,2-tetrafluoroethyl 2,2,3,3-tetrafluoropropyl ether(TTE) diluent, the ultra-thick cathode(20 mg cm^(-2)) shows a high capacity of 9.48 m Ah cm^(-2)and excellent capacity retention of 80.3% over 191 cycles at a low electrolyte-to-sulfur ratio(E/S = 2) and negative-to-positive capacity ratio(N/P = 2.5), realizing a 19.2% improvement in energy density in coin cells(from 370 to 441 Wh kg^(-1)) and a high energy density up to 467 Wh kg^(-1) in pouch cells. This study not only provides guidance for the electrolyte design but also paves the way for the development of high performance Li-S batteries under practical conditions. 展开更多

Background Hypercholesterolemia is a major risk factor for cardiovascular events in patients with established atherosclerotic disease (EAD) and in those with multiple risk factors (MRFs). This study aimed to investigate the rate of optimal low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol level in a multicenter registry of patients at high risk for cardiovascular events. Methods A multicenter registry of EAD and MRF patients was conducted. Demographic data,medical history,cardiovascular risk factors,anthropometric data,laboratory data,and medications were recorded and analyzed. We classified patients according to target LDL levels based on recommendation by the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) 2011 into Group 1 which is EAD and diabetes or chronic kidney disease (CKD)–target LDL below 70 mg/dL,and Group 2 which is MRF without diabetes or CKD–target LDL below 100 mg/dL. The rate of optimal LDL level in patients with Group 1 and Group 2 was analyzed and stratified according to the treatment pattern of lipid-lowering medications. Results A total of 3100 patients were included. Of those,51.7% were male. Average age was 65.8 ± 9.7 years. Average LDL level was 96.3 ± 32.6 mg/dL. A vast majority (92.7%) received statin and 9.3% received ezetimibe. Optimal LDL level was achieved in 20.3% of patients in Group 1 (LDL < 70 mg/dL),and in 46.6% in Group 2 (LDL < 100 mg/dL). The overall rate of optimal LDL control was 23% since 89.6% of study population belongs to Group 1. The rate of optimal LDL was not different between high and low potency statin. Factors that were associated with optimal LDL control were older age,the presence of coronary artery disease or peripheral artery disease. Conclusions The rates of optimal LDL level were unacceptably low in this study population. As such,a strategy to improve LDL control in high-risk population should be implemented. 展开更多

This paper discusses the breakdown mechanism and proposes a new simulation and test method of breakdown voltage (BV) for an ultra-high-voltage (UHV) high-side thin layer silicon-on-insulator (SOI) p-channel low-density metal- oxide semiconductor (LDMOS). Compared with the conventional simulation method, the new one is more accordant with the actual conditions of a device that can be used in the high voltage circuit. The BV of the SOI p-channel LDMOS can be properly represented and the effect of reduced bulk field can be revealed by employing the new simulation method. Simulation results show that the off-state (on-state) BV of the SOI p-channel LDMOS can reach 741 (620) V in the 3μm-thick buried oxide layer, 50μm-length drift region, and at -400 V back-gate voltage, enabling the device to be used in a 400 V UHV integrated circuit. 展开更多

The complexity/performance balanced decoder for low-density parity-check (LDPC) codes is preferred in practical wireless communication systems. A low complexity LDPC decoder for the Consultative Committee for Space Data Systems (CCSDS) standard is achieved in DSP. An ap- proximate decoding algorithm, normalized rain-sum algorithm, is used in the implementation for its low amounts of computation. To reduce the performance loss caused by the approximation, the pa- rameters of the normalized min-sum algorithm are determined by calculating and finding the mini- mum value of thresholds through density evolution. The minimum value which indicates the best per- formance of the decoding algorithm is corresponding with the optimized parameters. In implementa- tion, the memory cost is saved by decomposing the parity-check matrix into submatrices to store and the computation of passing message in decoding is accelerated by using the intrinsic function of DSP. The performance of the decoder with optimized factors is simulated and compared with the ideal BP decoder. The result shows they have about the same performance. 展开更多

目的分析急性脑梗死(acute cerebral infarction,ACI)患者小而密低密度脂蛋白(small dense low-density lipoprotein,sd-LDL)及脂蛋白(a)水平与颈动脉斑块稳定性的关系。方法回顾性选取2020年2月至2024年2月河北省人民医院收治的老年AC... 目的分析急性脑梗死(acute cerebral infarction,ACI)患者小而密低密度脂蛋白(small dense low-density lipoprotein,sd-LDL)及脂蛋白(a)水平与颈动脉斑块稳定性的关系。方法回顾性选取2020年2月至2024年2月河北省人民医院收治的老年ACI患者160例,所有患者行颈部彩色多普勒超声检查,依据颈动脉斑块情况分为无斑块组43例、稳定斑块组56例和不稳定斑块组61例,另取同期河北省人民医院健康体检者40例作为对照组,比较4组临床资料、sd-LDL、脂蛋白(a)水平,评估sd-LDL、脂蛋白(a)水平对不稳定斑块的预测价值。结果与无斑块组比较,稳定斑块组和不稳定斑块组美国国立卫生研究院卒中量表(National Institute of Health Stroke Scale,NIHSS)评分、低密度脂蛋白胆固醇(low density lipoprotein cholesterol,LDL-C)显著升高,不稳定斑块组总胆固醇显著升高,高密度脂蛋白胆固醇(high density lipoprotein cholesterol,HDL-C)显著降低,对照组NIHSS评分、总胆固醇、三酰甘油、LDL-C显著降低,HDL-C显著升高,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05);与稳定斑块组比较,不稳定斑块组NIHSS评分、LDL-C、sdLDL、脂蛋白(a)显著升高,HDL-C显著降低,对照组脂蛋白(a)显著降低,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。Pearson相关性分析显示,sd-LDL、脂蛋白(a)水平与NIHSS评分、总胆固醇、三酰甘油、LDL-C呈显著正相关(P<0.05,P<0.01),与HDL-C呈显著负相关(P<0.01)。二元logistic回归分析显示,NIHSS评分、LDL-C、sd-LDL、脂蛋白(a)是ACI患者颈动脉不稳定斑块形成的危险因素,HDL-C是保护因素(P<0.01)。ROC曲线结果显示,sd-LDL、脂蛋白(a)及联合检测对颈动脉斑块稳定性预测的ROC曲线下面积分别为0.830、0.847、0.921,联合检测的敏感性高于sd-LDL、脂蛋白(a)单项指标检测(93.44%vs 88.52%、86.89%,P=0.000)。结论血浆sd-LDL、脂蛋白(a)水平与ACI患者颈动脉斑块稳定性具有一定关联性,可作为临床相关参考指标。 展开更多

The highly dynamic lipoprotein molecules are capable of adopting an array of conformations that is crucial to lipid transport along the cholesterol transport pathway, among which high-density lipopro- tein (HDL) and low-density lipoprotein (LDL) are major players in plasma cholesterol metabolism. For a more detailed illustration of cholesterol transport process, as well as the development of therapies to prevent CVD, here we review the functional mechanism and structural basis of lipoproteins in cholesterol transport, as well as their structural dynamics in the plasma lipoprotein (HDL and LDL) elevations, in order to obtain better quantitative understandings on structure-function relationship of lipoproteins. 非高密度脂蛋白胆固醇与脑小血管病影像总负荷的相关性研究

目的探究脑小血管病(cerebral small vessel disease,CSVD)患者非高密度脂蛋白胆固醇(non-high density lipoprotein cholesterol,non-HDL-C)及其与CSVD影像总负荷的关系。方法选取2021年1月至2024年7月首都医科大学附属北京朝阳医院神... 目的探究脑小血管病(cerebral small vessel disease,CSVD)患者非高密度脂蛋白胆固醇(non-high density lipoprotein cholesterol,non-HDL-C)及其与CSVD影像总负荷的关系。方法选取2021年1月至2024年7月首都医科大学附属北京朝阳医院神经内科收治的年龄≥60岁住院患者303例,根据CSVD影像总负荷评分为0分组108例,1分组61例,2分组66例,3分组35例,≥4分组33例。采用二元logistic回归分析non-HDL-C与CSVD相关性。结果0分组、1分组、2分组、3分组及≥4分组的TC、non-HDL-C水平逐渐明显升高(P<0.01)。3分组non-HDL-C水平明显高于0分组(P=0.001)。2分组、3分组及≥4分组non-HDL-C水平明显高于1分组(P<0.05)。CSVD影像总负荷与non-HDL-C水平呈正相关(P=0.001)。对患者年龄、性别、高血压、糖尿病、高脂血症等指标校正后发现,non-HDL-C仍是CSVD的独立危险因素(OR=2.869,95%CI:1.012~8.136,P=0.047)。结论在老年人群中,non-HDL-C升高与CSVD影像总负荷增加密切相关,可作为CSVD的早期干预的指标。 展开更多

循环代谢生物标志物与前列腺癌因果关系的双向孟德尔随机化研究

目的 采用两样本孟德尔随机化方法研究233种循环代谢生物标志物与前列腺癌的因果关系。方法 利用全基因组关联研究数据(genome-wide association studies,GWAS),暴露因素为233种循环代谢生物标志物,结局变量为前列腺癌。采用逆方差加权(... 目的 采用两样本孟德尔随机化方法研究233种循环代谢生物标志物与前列腺癌的因果关系。方法 利用全基因组关联研究数据(genome-wide association studies,GWAS),暴露因素为233种循环代谢生物标志物,结局变量为前列腺癌。采用逆方差加权(inverse variance weighted,IVW)法、加权中位数(weighted median,WM)法、MR-Egger回归、加权模式和简单模式研究暴露与结局的因果关系,其中以IVW作为主要分析方法,并进行敏感性分析以检验结果可靠性。结果 根据IVW的统计结果,有2种标志物与前列腺癌的发生风险呈正向因果关联:小低密度脂蛋白中甘油三酯与总脂质的比值(P=0.042),乳糜微粒和极大VLDL中总胆固醇与总脂质的比值(P=0.042)。有4种标志物与前列腺癌呈现负向因果关联:高密度脂蛋白中磷脂与总脂质的比值(P=0.025),共轭亚油酸与总脂肪酸的比值(P=0.009),亚油酸与总脂肪酸的比例为18∶2(P=0.045),酪氨酸水平(P=0.045)。其他4种方法的统计结果与IVW不完全一致(多数P>0.05),但5种方法的因果效应方向基本一致,结果仍旧可靠。敏感性分析未发现异质性和多效性,表明结果稳健。反向MR分析未发现前列腺癌能够影响6种循环代谢生物标志物水平。结论 233种循环代谢生物标志物中,小低密度脂蛋白中甘油三酯与总脂质的比值、乳糜微粒和极大VLDL中总胆固醇与总脂质的比值是前列腺癌的危险因素,共轭亚油酸与总脂肪酸的比值、亚油酸与总脂肪酸的比例为18∶2、高密度脂蛋白中磷脂与总脂质的比值、酪氨酸水平是前列腺癌的保护因素。 展开更多

Selenium is a crucial trace element that contributes to physiological processes in the body as selenoproteins.Selenoproteins serve as an integral role in the body in controlling the redox state of cells and protecting against damage induced by oxidative stress.This study aimed to investigate the effects and possible mechanism of selenium on selenoproteins expression in EA.hy926 cells induced by oxidized low density lipoprotein(oxLDL).The impact of selenium on the viability of EA.hy926 cells was detected by the methylthiazolyldiphenyltetrazolium bromide(MTT)method,and intracellular reactive oxygen species(ROS)level and mitochondrial membrane potential were assessed by fluorescent probe DCFH-DA and JC-1,respectively.RNA-seq,quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction(qPCR),and Western blot were used to investigate the selenoprotein expression.Selenoprotein mRNA translation efficiency was analyzed by ribosome profiling(Ribo-Seq)coupled with transcriptomics.Our data showed that selenium supplementation(0.5μmol/L)significantly decreased ROS production,increased mitochondrial inner membrane potential and increased the proliferative activity of EA.hy926 cells induced by oxLDL.Moreover,The protective effects of selenium against oxLDL-induced EA.hy926 cell injury were associated with the upregulation of the expressions of selenoproteins glutathione peroxidase 1(GPX1),glutathione peroxidase 4(GPX4),and thioredoxin reductase 1(TXNRD1).Furthermore,the expressions of selenoproteins GPX1 and GPX4 were hierarchically controlled,but the expressions of selenoproteins TXNRD1 were mainly regulated by oxLDL.Finally,Ribo-Seq coupled with transcriptomics results demonstrated that the expressions of selenoproteins GPX1,GPX4,and TXNRD1 were regulated at the translation process level.These findings suggested that selenium could have preventive effects in oxLDL induced EA.hy926 cell injury by regulating the selenoprotein expression,and the selenoproteins expressions at the translation level in vascular endothelial cells need further study. 展开更多

目的探讨超声造影联合血脂检测评价颈动脉易损斑块对缺血性脑卒中患者的预测价值。方法本研究为前瞻性研究,选择2023年1月至2024年5月佛山市南海区第四人民医院确诊的颈动脉易损斑块患者120例,其中缺血性脑卒中患者60例为研究组,无缺血... 目的探讨超声造影联合血脂检测评价颈动脉易损斑块对缺血性脑卒中患者的预测价值。方法本研究为前瞻性研究,选择2023年1月至2024年5月佛山市南海区第四人民医院确诊的颈动脉易损斑块患者120例,其中缺血性脑卒中患者60例为研究组,无缺血性脑卒中患者60例为对照组。分别对2组进行常规超声、超声造影及血脂检查,分析研究组与对照组、研究组不同血流分级患者不稳定斑块积分比、斑块最大长度、斑块最大厚度、溃疡斑、面积狭窄、狭窄处峰值流速、阻力指数及血脂水平的差异。采用ROC曲线分析,并计算曲线下面积(the area under curve,AUC)。结果研究组与对照组不稳定斑块积分比、斑块最大长度、斑块最大厚度、溃疡斑、面积狭窄、狭窄处峰值流速、阻力指数、血流特征比较,差异有统计学意义(P<0.01)。研究组三酰甘油(triglyceride,TG)、总胆固醇(total cholesterol,TC)、低密度胆固醇(low density lipoprotein,LDL)、水平明显高于对照组,高密度胆固醇(high density lipoprotein,HDL)水平明显低于对照组(P<0.01)。研究组不同血流分级患者不稳定斑块积分比、斑块最大长度、斑块最大厚度、溃疡斑、面积狭窄、狭窄处峰值流速、阻力指数比较,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05,P<0.01)。研究组不同血流分级患者TC、TG、LDL、HDL水平比较,差异有统计学意义(P<0.01)。研究组血流分级Ⅲ级、Ⅱ级、Ⅰ级患者TC、TG、LDL依次降低,HDL依次升高(P<0.01)。Pearman相关性分析显示,血流分级与TC、TG、LDL水平呈正相关(r=0.456,r=0.652,r=0.362,P=0.000),与HDL水平呈负相关(r=-0.256,P=0.000)。ROC曲线分析显示,超声造影血流分级与血脂水平联合检测对颈动脉易损斑块缺血性脑卒中患者诊断的AUC明显高于单独检测,通过截断值分析,颈动脉易损斑块缺血性脑卒中患者超声造影血流分级为Ⅱ级以上,TC为5.22 mmol/L,TG为2.33 mmol/L,LDL为2.78 mmol/L,HDL为0.82 mmol/L。结论超声造影血流较高等级结合血脂水平异常表达可能可以作为缺血性脑卒中患者的预测指标。 展开更多
