The use of a ternary metal sulfide loading on carbon fibers as the sulfur host for high performance low-temperature lithium sulfur batteries

The use of lithium-sulfur(Li-S)batteries is limited by sulfur redox reactions involving multi-phase transformations,especially at low-temperatures.To address this issue,we report a material(FCNS@NCFs)consisting of nitrogen-doped carbon fibers loaded with a ternary metal sulf-ide((Fe,Co,Ni)_(9)S_(8))for use as the sulfur host in Li-S batteries.This materi-al was prepared using transfer blot filter paper as the carbon precursor,thiourea as the source of nitrogen and sulfur,and FeCl_(3)·6H_(2)O,CoCl_(2)·6H_(2)O and NiCl_(2)·6H_(2)O as the metal ion sources.It was synthesized by an impreg-nation method followed by calcination.The nitrogen doping significantly in-creased the conductivity of the host,and the metal sulfides have excellent catalytic activities.Theoretical calculations,and adsorption and deposition experiments show that active sites on the surface of FCNS@NCFs selectively adsorb polysulfides,facilitate rapid adsorption and conversion,prevent cathode passivation and inhib-it the polysulfide shuttling.The FCNS@NCFs used as the sulfur host has excellent electrochemical properties.Its initial dis-charge capacity is 1639.0 mAh g^(−1) at 0.2 C and room temperature,and it remains a capacity of 1255.1 mAh g^(−1) after 100 cycles.At−20~C,it has an initial discharge capacity of 1578.5 mAh g^(−1) at 0.2 C,with a capacity of 867.5 mAh g^(−1) after 100 cycles.Its excellent performance at both ambient and low temperatures suggests a new way to produce high-performance low-temper-ature Li-S batteries. 展开更多

ZnAl_(2)O_(4) and ZnAl_(2)O_(4)-based ceramics have attracted much attention from researchers due to their good microwave dielectric,thermal and mechanical properties.In this work,the influence of 5%(in mass)CuO-TiO_(2)-Nb_(2)O_(5)(CTN)ternary composite oxide additives with different composition ratios on sintering behavior and properties of ZnAl_(2)O_(4) microwave dielectric ceramics was investigated.When the molar fraction ranges of Cu,Ti and Nb elements in 5%CTN additives are 0.625-0.875,0-0.250 and 0.125-0.625,respectively,sintering temperature of ZnAl_(2)O_(4) ceramics can be reduced from above 1400℃to below 1000℃.The sintering additives CN(Cu:Nb=1:1,molar ratio)and CTN(Cu:Ti:Nb=4:1:3,molar ratio)can reduce sintering temperature of ZnAl_(2)O_(4) ceramics to 975 and 1000℃,respectively,while maintaining good dielectric properties(dielectric constantε_(r)=11.36,quality factor Q׃=8245 GHz andε_(r)=9.52,Q׃=22249 GHz)and flexural strengths(200 and 161 MPa),which are expected to be applied in preparation of low temperature co-fired ceramic(LTCC)materials with copper electrodes.Low-temperature sintering of the ZnAl_(2)O_(4)+CTN system is characterized as activated sintering.Nanometer-level amorphous interfacial films containing Cu,Ti,and Nb elements are observed at the grain boundaries,which may provide fast diffusion pathways for mass transportation during the sintering process.Valence changes of Ti and Cu ions,along with changes of oxygen vacancies,are confirmed,which provides a potential mechanism for reduced sintering temperature of ZnAl_(2)O_(4) ceramics.In addition,a series of reactions occurring at the grain boundaries can activate these boundaries and further promote the sintering densification process.These results suggest a promising way to design a novel LTCC material with excellent properties based on the low temperature sintering of ceramics with the sintering aid of CuO-TiO_(2)-Nb_(2)O_(5) composite oxide. 展开更多

Robust microwave catalytic decomposition of H_(2)S into H_(2) and S at low temperature over Mo_(2)C@CeO_(2) catalysts

The new technology of direct decomposition of H_(2)S into high value-added H_(2) and S,as an alternative to the Claus process in industry,is an ideal route that can not only deal with toxic and abundant H_(2)S waste gas but also recover clean energy H_(2),which has significant socio-economic and ecological advantages.However,the highly effective decomposition of H_(2)S at low temperatures is still a great challenge,because of the stringent thermodynamic equilibrium constraints(only 20% even at high temperature of 1010℃).Conventional microwave catalysts exhibit unsatisfactory performance at low temperatures(below 600℃).Herein,Mo_(2)C@CeO_(2) catalysts with a core-shell structure were successfully developed for robust microwave catalytic decomposition of H_(2)S at low temperatures.Two carbon precursors,para-phenylenediamine(Mo_(2)C-p)and meta-phenylenediamine(Mo_(2)C-m),were employed to tailor Mo_(2)C configurations.Remarkably,the H_(2)S conversion of Mo_(2)C-p@CeO_(2) catalyst at a low temperature of 550℃ is as high as 92.1%,which is much higher than the H_(2)S equilibrium conversion under the conventional thermal conditions(2.6% at 550℃).To our knowledge,this represents the most active catalyst for microwave catalytic decomposition of H_(2)S at low temperature of 550℃.Notably,Mo_(2)C-p demonstrated superior intrinsic activity(84%)compared to Mo_(2)C-m(6.4%),with XPS analysis revealing that its enhanced performance stems from a higher concentration of Mo_(2+)active sites.This work presents a substitute approach for the efficient utilization of H_(2)S waste gas and opens up a novel avenue for the rational design of microwave catalysts for microwave catalytic reaction at low-temperature. 展开更多

The reduced ability of fatty acids to dissolve and disperse at low temperatures limits their effectiveness in winter applications.In this study,a green and environment-friendly reagent,polyethylene glycol 2000(PEG-2000),was used to evaluate its effect on the collecting performance of sodium oleate during scheelite flotation at low temperatures.The effect of PEG-2000 on the flotation of scheelite with the collector sodium oleate(NaOL)was studied by flotation tests,surface tension tests,infrared spectral analysis,and zeta potential measurements.Flotation tests showed that adding PEG-2000 can enhance the collecting ability of NaOL on scheelite at low temperature(5℃).The recovery of scheelite with the mixed collector of PEG-200 and NaOL is 4.39%higher than that with NaOL only.The surface tension tests,infrared spectral analysis and zeta potential measurements revealed that PEG-2000 and OL^(−)are co-adsorbed on the scheelite surface at low temperatures.The presence of PEG-2000 promoted the increase of the adsorption concentration of oleate ions(OL^(−))on the scheelite surface.The reason was that PEG-2000 has a shielding effect on the electrostatic repulsion between the OL^(−)groups,which changes the micellar configuration of OL^(−)in the solution system and makes the OL^(−)gather more tightly on the surface of scheelite,leading to the enhancement of its hydrophobicity.This discovery provides a reference for the development of collecting reagents for efficient flotation recovery of scheelite under low temperature environment. 展开更多

The effects of heat treatment on the microstructure and mechanical properties of two alloys, namely Al-12.2%Zn-2.48%Cu-2.0%Mg-0.15%Zr-0.166%Ag(alloy 1), and Al-9.99%Zn-1.72%Cu-2.5%Mg- 0.13%Zr (alloy 2) were investigated. The results show that low temperature aging after promotive solution treatment can increase elongation without the loss of strength for the studied alloys. The optimum aging treatment (T6) for alloy 1 and alloy 2 is 100℃/80h and 100℃/48h, respectively. Compared with other heat treatment alloys, alloy 1 and alloy 2 show super-high tensile strength up to 753MPa and 788MPa, remaining 9.3% and 9.7% elongation under T6 condition, respectively. During aging, trace addition of Ag enhances the formations of GP zone and metastable phase, and stabilizes GP zone and metastable phase to a higher temperature. Trace addition of Ag prolongs the aging time of reaching the peak strength and delays over-aging condition of the alloy. However, trace addition of Ag promotes the formation of coarse constituent in the alloy and consumes hardening alloying elements of Zn and Mg. Moreover, the addition of the transition element Zr in 7000 series super-high alloy forms incoherent Al3Zr dispersoid which can serve as nucleation sites for nonuniform precipitation of η phase during aging process. The higher the aging temperature, the greater the tendency for nonuniform precipitation of η phase. 展开更多

The effects of low temperature thermo-mechanical treatment (LTTMT) on microstructures and mechanical properties of Ti-6Al-4V (TC4) alloy were studied by optical microscopy (OM), tensile test, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The experimental results confirm that the strength of TC4 alloy can be improved obviously by LTTMT processing, which combines strain strengthening with aging strengthening. The effect of LTTMT on the alloy depends on the microstructure of the refined and dispersed a+fl phase on the basis of high dislocation density by pre-deformation below recrystallization temperature. The tensile strength decreases with the increase of pre-deformation reduction. The optimal processing parameters of LTTMT for TC4 alloy are as follows: solution treatment at 900 ℃ for 15 min, pre-deformation in the range of 600-700 ℃ with a reduction of 35%, finally aging at 540 ℃ for 4 h followed by air-cooling. 展开更多

The precursor of ammonium aluminum carbonate hydroxide was synthesized by using aluminum sulfate(Al2(SO4)3) and ammonium carbonate((NH4)2CO3). The effects of α-Al2O3 seeds and mixture composed of α-Al2O3 and ammonium nitrate, as well as multiplex catalysts (AT) on phase transformation of alumina in sintering process were investigated respectively. The results show that the α-Al2O3 seeds and the mixture of α-Al2O3 and ammonium nitrate can lower the phase transformation temperature of α-Al2O3 to different extents while the particles obtained agglomerate heavily. AT has great potential synergistic effects on the phase transformation of alumina and reduces the phase transformation temperature of α-Al2O3 and the trends of necking-formation between particles. Therefore the dispersion of powder particles is improved significantly. 展开更多

A process was proposed to convert and separate selenium and arsenic in copper anode slime(CAS) by low-temperature alkali fusion process.Central composite design was employed to optimize the effective parameters,in which Na OH/CAS mass ratio,fusion temperature and fusion time were selected as variables,and the conversion ratio of selenium and arsenic as responses.Second-order polynomial models of high significance and 3D response surface plots were constructed to show the relationship between the responses and the variables.Optimum area of >90% selenium conversion ratio and >90% arsenic conversion ratio was obtained by the overlaid contours at Na OH/CAS mass ratio of 0.65-0.75,fusion temperature of 803-823 K and fusion time of 20-30 min.The models are validated by experiments in the optimum area,and the results demonstrate that these models are reliable and accurate in predicting the fusion process. 展开更多

In order to investigate the physiological injury of barley caused by the low temperature after herbicides, tillering barley seedlings planted in plastic cups were pretreated in illumination incubator at 15℃ and 12 h-light per day for 7 days, and then subjected to herbicide treatment, prometryn (with the concentrations of 0, 0.15%, 0.30%, and 0.45%) or isoproturon (with the concentrations of 0, 0.30%, 0.60%, and 0.90%), and the SOD activity, the CAT activity, the POD activity, the MDA content, proline content, soluble protein content, electrical conductivity, and the rate of O2 were determined and analyzed. The results showed that the low-temperature was the most important, and the treatment-time of low-temperature was another significant influencing factor on the physiological and biochemical indices of barley seedlings. However, all of the physiological and biochemical indices determined were not affected by the kinds of herbicides and herbicide concentrations, and the SOD was stable and should play the more prominent role on extracting of free radicals according to the stepwise regression and correlation. The herbicide concentrations should be increased in the future research for truly reflecting the effects of the herbicide concentration on the physiological and biochemical indices of barley seedlings. 展开更多

A novel low-temperature alkaline smelting process is proposed to convert and separate amphoteric metals in crushed metal enrichment originated from waste printed circuit boards. The central composite design was used to optimize the operating parameters,in which mass ratio of Na OH-to-CME, smelting temperature and smelting time were chosen as the variables, and the conversions of amphoteric metals tin, lead, aluminum and zinc were response parameters. Second-order polynomial models of high significance and3 D response surface plots were constructed to show the relationship between the responses and the variables. Optimum area of80%-85% Pb conversion and over 95% Sn conversion was obtained by the overlaid contours at mass ratio of Na OH-to-CME of4.5-5.0, smelting temperature of 653-723 K, smelting time of 90-120 min. The models were validated experimentally in the optimum area, and the results demonstrate that these models are reliable and accurate in predicting the smelting process. 展开更多

A series of transition metal Mn,Cu,Ce and Fe were loaded on TiO_(2) by sol-gel method with noble metal Pd as promotor for the application of passive NO_(x) absorber.Experiments on adsorption and desorption of NO_(x) were conducted and characterization methods such as X-ray diffraction(XRD),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),transmission electron microscopy(TEM)and in situ Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(in situ DRIFTS)were involved.The experimental results show that Mn-contained catalysts,Mn-Ti and Pd-Mn-Ti,performed excellent NO_(x) adsorbing ability and appropriate desorption temperature window.On the other hand,Ce-and Cu-contained samples were not suitable for the purpose of PNA.In addition to the low adsorption capacity,these two series of catalysts released massive amount of NO below 150℃.Characterization results indicated that Pd was highly dispersed on all catalysts.The loading of Pd lowered not only the valence states of transition metals but surface oxygen percentage as well.From in situ DRIFTS tests,the Pd had little influence on the types of adsorbed substances for Mn,Ce and Cu series.However,the storage forms of NO_(x) were obviously different on Pd-Fe-Ti and Fe-Ti. 展开更多

T构梁在长期服役过程中易受到温度和收缩徐变效应的影响而发生较大变形,而中低速磁浮交通对轨道梁的变形等要求十分严格。本文建立了细致的T构梁有限元模型及包含PID(Proportional Integral Derivative)反馈控制的6节编组中低速磁浮车辆动力学模型,仿真计算了考虑T构梁温度和收缩徐变前后,磁浮车辆以20~160 km/h速度通过T构梁时车-轨-桥耦合系统的动力学响应。结果表明:考虑T构梁20℃升温温差和10年收缩徐变后,F轨轨面形成了9.47 mm的静态几何不平顺。磁浮车辆以160 km/h通过T构梁时,F轨竖向振动加速度幅值比不考虑温度、收缩徐变工况下增加显著,增幅为10.0%,轨道梁动挠度和竖向加速度变化甚微,车体竖向加速度增幅为44.2%。车-轨-桥系统动力学响应随车速增加而增大,在160 km/h时取得最大值。梁体最大竖向振动加速度为0.11 m/s^(2),车体最大竖向振动加速度为0.59 m/s~2,悬浮间隙波动幅值达2.53 mm。车辆Sperling平稳性指标随车速提高而增大,最大值为2.42,乘坐舒适性等级仍为优秀。T构梁的温度和收缩徐变主要影响车辆高速运行时的平稳性和舒适性,该T构梁能满足磁浮车辆的安全平稳运营。 展开更多

华北克拉通南缘太华群变质基底剥露过程:(U-Th)/He热年代学的证据

隆升剥蚀是地壳减薄的重要方式之一。查明变质基底的抬升剥露过程对了解华北克拉通南缘晚中生代以来岩石圈的伸展破坏具有重要的科学和实践价值。本文通过锆石和磷灰石(U-Th)/He测年法,研究华北克拉通南缘太华群变质基底晚白垩世以来的... 隆升剥蚀是地壳减薄的重要方式之一。查明变质基底的抬升剥露过程对了解华北克拉通南缘晚中生代以来岩石圈的伸展破坏具有重要的科学和实践价值。本文通过锆石和磷灰石(U-Th)/He测年法,研究华北克拉通南缘太华群变质基底晚白垩世以来的隆升剥露历史。太华群片麻岩中5组样品热年代学测定结果显示:磷灰石(U-Th)/He年龄分布于41.9~32.9 Ma之间,锆石(U-Th)/He年龄介于94.1~56.9 Ma之间。HeFTy模拟表明太华群变质杂岩自晚白垩世以来经历了4期冷却剥露过程:①晚白垩世至古新世(94.1~57 Ma)的快速冷却,冷却速率约5.58℃/Ma,剥露速率约159 m/Ma,剥露量为3142 m,该阶段快速冷却可能是古太平洋板块俯冲回撤导致华北克拉通破坏减薄过程的延续;②57~40 Ma的缓慢冷却,冷却速率约1.18℃/Ma,剥露速率约34 m/Ma,剥露量为571 m,这一阶段的抬升平稳期可能是太平洋板块的俯冲转向降低了中国东部的构造应力强度;③40~30 Ma的加速抬升剥露,冷却速率约4.5℃/Ma,剥露速率129 m/Ma,剥露量为1286 m,该阶段的快速抬升可能是太平洋俯冲板块变老(洋中脊俯冲消失后,进入俯冲带的洋壳年龄不断增加)和俯冲角度增加的结果;④30 Ma至今缓慢冷却剥露,冷却速率为0.167℃/Ma,剥露率大约为5 m/Ma,剥露量为143 m,这一阶段的构造宁静可能表明华北克拉通南缘已经远离了太平洋俯冲活动带。太华群变质基底的剥露过程表明华北克拉通南缘的晚中生代大规模岩石圈减薄过程持续到了新生代的早期,这一阶段的抬升剥露可能是华北克拉通南缘多金属矿床出露的关键。 展开更多

NS-CNF改性RAC经历低温后的力学性能研究

为探究复掺纳米二氧化硅(NS)和碳纳米纤维(CNF)再生混凝土经历低温环境后(-10℃、-20℃、-30℃)的力学性能,首先以NS掺量、CNF掺量、再生骨料(RA)取代率为影响因素设计正交试验,确定常温环境下NS与CNF的最佳掺量与RA取代率,然后进行复... 为探究复掺纳米二氧化硅(NS)和碳纳米纤维(CNF)再生混凝土经历低温环境后(-10℃、-20℃、-30℃)的力学性能,首先以NS掺量、CNF掺量、再生骨料(RA)取代率为影响因素设计正交试验,确定常温环境下NS与CNF的最佳掺量与RA取代率,然后进行复掺NS和CNF改性再生混凝土经历低温环境后的力学性能试验,最后通过扫描电镜图像分析纳米材料的改性机理。结果表明:各因素对再生混凝土抗压强度与劈裂抗拉强度的影响程度依次为RA取代率>CNF掺量>NS掺量;NS与CNF通过成核效应、火山灰活性及纤维与基体的桥接作用改善了再生混凝土的裂缝及孔隙结构,使再生混凝土获得更加致密的微观结构,进而提高了再生混凝土的抗压及劈裂抗拉强度。最后得出NS与CNF的最佳掺量分别为3%、0.2%;复掺NS与CNF能够显著降低再生混凝土抗压强度与劈裂抗拉强度对低温环境温度变化的敏感程度,且对劈裂抗拉强度有较大提高,最大提高幅度达到17.3%。 展开更多

针对高温浓硫酸焙烧工艺处理混合型稀土精矿时存在酸用量大、有酸性气体逸出和放射性渣难处理等问题,开发了低温浓硫酸焙烧-水浸工艺,系统研究了焙烧时间、焙烧温度、酸矿比以及铁磷比对混合型稀土精矿中各元素浸出的影响。结果表明:在... 针对高温浓硫酸焙烧工艺处理混合型稀土精矿时存在酸用量大、有酸性气体逸出和放射性渣难处理等问题,开发了低温浓硫酸焙烧-水浸工艺,系统研究了焙烧时间、焙烧温度、酸矿比以及铁磷比对混合型稀土精矿中各元素浸出的影响。结果表明:在焙烧时间60 min、焙烧温度300℃、酸矿比2.0、不调铁磷比的条件下,RE和Th浸出率分别达94.34%、95.05%,显著减少了放射性废渣的生成,但浸出液静置后会有白色沉淀生成,造成浸出液中RE和Th含量下降;通过加入Fe_(2)O_(3)调控焙烧原料中铁磷比至3.0,RE、Th浸出率分别为94.80%、71.20%,有效抑制了浸出液中焦磷酸稀土的析出。结合热力学分析可知,低温(≤300℃)条件下,硫酸与稀土矿物的反应更易进行,且能抑制SO_(2)、SO_(3)酸性气体的排放。相较于高温浓硫酸焙烧法,低温浓硫酸焙烧工艺兼具环境友好性与资源高效性,为混合型稀土精矿绿色提取提供了途径。 展开更多
