This paper mainly focuses on stability analysis of the nonlinear active disturbance rejection control(ADRC)-based control system and its applicability to real world engineering problems.Firstly,the nonlinear ADRC(NLAD...This paper mainly focuses on stability analysis of the nonlinear active disturbance rejection control(ADRC)-based control system and its applicability to real world engineering problems.Firstly,the nonlinear ADRC(NLADRC)-based control system is transformed into a multi-input multi-output(MIMO)Lurie-like system,then sufficient condition for absolute stability based on linear matrix inequality(LMI)is proposed.Since the absolute stability is a kind of global stability,Lyapunov stability is further considered.The local asymptotical stability can be deter-mined by whether a matrix is Hurwitz or not.Using the inverted pendulum as an example,the proposed methods are verified by simulation and experiment,which show the valuable guidance for engineers to design and analyze the NL ADRC-based control system.展开更多

Under the assumption that the effects of faults on the state-space matrices of systems can be of affine parameter dependence, a reconfigurable robust H∞ linear parameter varying controller is developed. The designed controller is a function of the fault effect factors that can be derived online by using a well-trained neural network. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method, a double inverted pendulum system, with a fault in the motor tachometer loop, is considered.展开更多

The main idea is the use of hashing tables in order to prune a considerable portion of graph database that cannot contain the answer set. These tables are implemented using column-based techniques and are used to store graphs of database, frequent sub-graphs and the neighborhood of nodes. In order to exact checking of remaining graphs, the vertex invariant is used for isomorphism test which can be parallel implemented. The results of evaluation indicate that proposed method outperforms existing methods.展开更多

Desp...The Lesser Himalaya in central Nepal consists of greenschist\|facies metasedimentary rocks, which are overthrust by the amphibolite\|facies rocks of the Higher Himalaya along the Upper Main Central Thrust (UMCT). Despite a number of works on metamorphism of the MCT zone and the Higher Himalaya, the low\|grade metamorphic rocks to the south of the MCT zone have not been studied yet.In the present study, an attempt was made to constrain the metamorphic events and thermal structure of the whole Lesser Himalaya by means of white mica (Ms) compositions. About 600Ms grains in 48 metapelitic samples from the Lesser Himalaya were analysed by the EPMA. Compositional zoning in individual Ms grains was checked by means of X\|ray compositional mapping. There exist wide intersample, intrasample and within grain compositional variations in Ms in the samples from the Lesser Himalaya. Sheared Ms phenocrysts in pegmatites and gneisses have compositions very close to that of the ideal muscovite. Detrital Ms show wide variation in phengite content, most of which are poor in phengite content, and are most probably derived from older higher\|grade metamorphic rocks.展开更多

The motion of the pendulum may be projected onto the orthogonal planes in the Cartesian Space. In this way the system can be decoupled into two classical cart-pendulum systems and the design of controllers aimed at each subsystem separately are proposed. The linear quadratic optimal control strategy is applied in order to balance the pendulum system at the 'inverted' status. The method proposed is verified by the simulation and actual system experiments and the performance of the controller is discussed.展开更多

In addition, numerical estimation of the maximum likelihood estimate(MLE) parameters are discussed in details. As an application, some real data sets are analyzed and it is observed that the presented family provides a better fit than some other known distributions.展开更多
The jacket structure has become more popular as the offshore wind-turbine support structure. K-type and inverted-K-type jacket support structures have superior potential due to their fewer joints and lower cost of man...The jacket structure has become more popular as the offshore wind-turbine support structure. K-type and inverted-K-type jacket support structures have superior potential due to their fewer joints and lower cost of manufacture and installation. A numerical study was presented on the dynamic responses of K-type and inverted-K-type jacket support structures subjected to different kinds of dynamic load. The results show that the inverted-K-type jacket structure has higher natural frequencies than the K-type. The wave force spectrum response shows that the maximum displacement of the K-type jacket structure is larger than that of the inverted-K-type. The time-history responses under wind and wave-current load indicate that the inverted-K-type jacket structure shows smaller displacement and stress compared with the K-type, and presents different stress concentration phenomena. The dynamic responses reveal that the inverted-K-type of jacket support structure has greater stiffness and superior mechanical properties, and thus is more applicable in the offshore area with relatively deep water.展开更多
