By decoupling control plane and data plane,Software-Defined Networking(SDN) approach simplifies network management and speeds up network innovations.These benefits have led not only to prototypes,but also real SDN dep...By decoupling control plane and data plane,Software-Defined Networking(SDN) approach simplifies network management and speeds up network innovations.These benefits have led not only to prototypes,but also real SDN deployments.For wide-area SDN deployments,multiple controllers are often required,and the placement of these controllers becomes a particularly important task in the SDN context.This paper studies the problem of placing controllers in SDNs,so as to maximize the reliability of SDN control networks.We present a novel metric,called expected percentage of control path loss,to characterize the reliability of SDN control networks.We formulate the reliability-aware control placement problem,prove its NP-hardness,and examine several placement algorithms that can solve this problem.Through extensive simulations using real topologies,we show how the number of controllers and their placement influence the reliability of SDN control networks.Besides,we also found that,through strategic controller placement,the reliability of SDN control networks can be significantly improved without introducing unacceptable switch-to-controller latencies.展开更多

For the Norrbin ship steering mathematical model with the nonlinear and uncertain dynamic characteristics, an adaptive FNN control system is designed to achieve high-precision track control via the backstepping approach. In the adaptive FNN control system, a FNN backstepping controller is a principal controller which includes a FNN estimator used to estimate the uncertainties, and a robust controller is designed to compensate the shortcoming of the FNN backstepping controller. All adaptive learning algorithms in the adaptive FNN control system are derived from the sense of Lyapunov stability analysis, so that system-tracking stability can be guaranteed in the closed-loop system. The effectiveness of the proposed adaptive FNN control system is verified by simulation results.展开更多
A method of generating multi-double scroll attractors is proposed based on the memristor Hopfield neural network(HNN)under pulse control.First,the original hyperbolic-type memristor is added to the neural network math...A method of generating multi-double scroll attractors is proposed based on the memristor Hopfield neural network(HNN)under pulse control.First,the original hyperbolic-type memristor is added to the neural network mathematical model,and the influence of this memristor on the dynamic behavior of the new HNN is analyzed.The numerical results show that after adding the memristor,the abundant dynamic behaviors such as chaos coexistence,period coexistence and chaos period coexistence can be observed when the initial value of the system is changed.Then the logic pulse is added to the external memristor.It is found that the equilibrium point of the HNN can multiply and generate multi-double scroll attractors after the pulse stimulation.When the number of logical pulses is changed,the number of multi-double scroll attractors will also change,so that the pulse can control the generation of multi-double scroll attractors.Finally,the HNN circuit under pulsed stimulation was realized by circuit simulation,and the results verified the correctness of the numerical results.展开更多

In this paper,an intelligent control method applying on numerical virtual flight is proposed.The proposed algorithm is verified and evaluated by combining with the case of the basic finner projectile model and shows a...In this paper,an intelligent control method applying on numerical virtual flight is proposed.The proposed algorithm is verified and evaluated by combining with the case of the basic finner projectile model and shows a good application prospect.Firstly,a numerical virtual flight simulation model based on overlapping dynamic mesh technology is constructed.In order to verify the accuracy of the dynamic grid technology and the calculation of unsteady flow,a numerical simulation of the basic finner projectile without control is carried out.The simulation results are in good agreement with the experiment data which shows that the algorithm used in this paper can also be used in the design and evaluation of the intelligent controller in the numerical virtual flight simulation.Secondly,combined with the real-time control requirements of aerodynamic,attitude and displacement parameters of the projectile during the flight process,the numerical simulations of the basic finner projectile’s pitch channel are carried out under the traditional PID(Proportional-Integral-Derivative)control strategy and the intelligent PID control strategy respectively.The intelligent PID controller based on BP(Back Propagation)neural network can realize online learning and self-optimization of control parameters according to the acquired real-time flight parameters.Compared with the traditional PID controller,the concerned control variable overshoot,rise time,transition time and steady state error and other performance indicators have been greatly improved,and the higher the learning efficiency or the inertia coefficient,the faster the system,the larger the overshoot,and the smaller the stability error.The intelligent control method applying on numerical virtual flight is capable of solving the complicated unsteady motion and flow with the intelligent PID control strategy and has a strong promotion to engineering application.展开更多
Information-Centric Networking(ICN) has recently emerged as a result of the increased demand to access contents regardless of their location in the network services. This new approach facilitates content distribution ...Information-Centric Networking(ICN) has recently emerged as a result of the increased demand to access contents regardless of their location in the network services. This new approach facilitates content distribution as a service of the network with lower delay and higher security in comparison with the current IP network. Applying ICN in current IP infrastructure leads to major complexities. One approach to deploy ICN with less complexity is to integrate ICN with Software Defined Networking(SDN). The SDN controller manages the content distribution, caching, and routing based on the users' requests. In this paper, we extend these context by addressing the ICN topology management problem over the SDN network to achieve an improved user experience as well as network performance. In particular, a centralized controller is designed to construct and manage the ICN overlay. Experimental results indicate that this adopted topology management strategy achieves high performance, in terms of low failure in interest satisfaction and reduced download time compared to a plain ICN.展开更多

Adversaries have plenty of time to...Controller vulnerabilities allow malicious actors to disrupt or hijack the Software-Defined Networking. Traditionally, it is static mappings between the control plane and data plane. Adversaries have plenty of time to exploit the controller's vulnerabilities and launch attacks wisely. We tend to believe that dynamically altering such static mappings is a promising approach to alleviate this issue, since a moving target is difficult to be compromised even by skilled adversaries. It is critical to determine the right time to conduct scheduling and to balance the overhead afforded and the security levels guaranteed. Little previous work has been done to investigate the economical time in dynamic-scheduling controllers. In this paper, we take the first step to both theoretically and experimentally study the scheduling-timing problem in dynamic control plane. We model this problem as a renewal reward process and propose an optimal algorithm in deciding the right time to schedule with the objective of minimizing the long-term loss rate. In our experiments, simulations based on real network attack datasets are conducted and we demonstrate that our proposed algorithm outperforms given scheduling schemes.展开更多

However,the communications based on ultrasonic waves suffer from poor propagation of signals in air and consume too much energy. To address these limitations,firstly,we make the theoretical analysis to ensure ultrasonic waves could be used in BANs(UBANs). Then,we propose an error control strategy in UBANs to dynamically adjust the error control scheme and the Max-Retries based on the current channel state,which is called UECS. The UECS is based on IEEE 802.15.6 standards and considering the characteristics of ultrasonic waves in BANs. Simulation results show that UECS achieves better performance in terms of packet delivery ratio and energy consumption compared with the traditional strategies.展开更多

For this type of controller, neither plant model nor measurement of network delay is required. So it is capable of automatically adjusting quantified factor, pro- portional factor, and integral factor according to the control system error and its derivative. The design makes full use of the advantages of quickness in operation and reduction of steady state error because of its integral function. The con- troller has a good control effect on time-delay and can keep a better performance by self-regulation on-line in the net- work with data dropout and interference. The control law consists of the optimal generalized predictive controller (OGPC) and the functional link network (FLN) direct adaptive law. OGPC is a continuous-time nonlinear predictive control law. The FLN adaptive law is used to offset the unknown uncertainties and disturbances in a flight through the online learning. The learning process does not need any offline training phase. The stability analyses of the NHV close-loop system are provided and it is proved that the system error and the weight learning error are uniformly ultimately hounded. Simulation results show the satisfactory performance of the con- troller for the attitude tracking.展开更多

文摘Recently,ultrasonic waves had been introduced as the transmission medium in Body Area Networks(BANs) to reduce the incalculable damage caused by radio waves. However,the communications based on ultrasonic waves suffer from poor propagation of signals in air and consume too much energy. To address these limitations,firstly,we make the theoretical analysis to ensure ultrasonic waves could be used in BANs(UBANs). Then,we propose an error control strategy in UBANs to dynamically adjust the error control scheme and the Max-Retries based on the current channel state,which is called UECS. The UECS is based on IEEE 802.15.6 standards and considering the characteristics of ultrasonic waves in BANs. Simulation results show that UECS achieves better performance in terms of packet delivery ratio and energy consumption compared with the traditional strategies.

文摘This paper discusses the model-based predictive controller design of networked nonlinear systems with communica- tion delay and data loss. Based on the analysis of the closed-loop networked predictive control systems, the model-based networked predictive control strategy can compensate for communication delay and data loss in an active way. The designed model-based predictive controller can also guarantee the stability of the closed-loop networked system. The simulation re- suits demonstrate the feasibility and efficacy of the proposed model-based predictive controller design scheme.
文摘Aiming at the problem of network-induced delay and data dropout in networked control system, an improved fuzzy controller is proposed in this paper. Considering the great influence of a controller on the performance of control system, an improved controller with a second order fuzzy controller and network-induced delay compensator being added to the basic fuzzy controller is proposed to realize self-regulation on-line. For this type of controller, neither plant model nor measurement of network delay is required. So it is capable of automatically adjusting quantified factor, pro- portional factor, and integral factor according to the control system error and its derivative. The design makes full use of the advantages of quickness in operation and reduction of steady state error because of its integral function. The con- troller has a good control effect on time-delay and can keep a better performance by self-regulation on-line in the net- work with data dropout and interference. It is good in quickness, adaptability, and robustness, which is favorable for controlling the long time-delay system.

文摘As part of the ongoing information revolution,smart power grid technology has become a key focus area for research into power systems.Intelligent electrical appliances are now an important component of power systems,providing a smart power grid with increased control,stability,and safety.Based on the secure communication requirements of cloud energy storage systems,this paper presents the design and development of a node controller for a cloud energy storage network.The function division and system deployment processes were carried out to ensure the security of the communication network used for the cloud energy storage system.Safety protection measures were proposed according to the demands of the communication network,allowing the system to run safely and stably.Finally,the effectiveness of the system was verified through a client-side distributed energy storage demonstration project in Suzhou,China.The system was observed to operate safely and stably,demonstrating good peak-clipping and valley filling effects,and improving the system load characteristics.

文摘The successful application of perimeter control of urban traffic system strongly depends on the macroscopic fundamental diagram of the targeted region.Despite intensive studies on the partitioning of urban road networks,the dynamic partitioning of urban regions reflecting the propagation of congestion remains an open question.This paper proposes to partition the network into homogeneous sub-regions based on random walk algorithm.Starting from selected random walkers,the road network is partitioned from the early morning when congestion emerges.A modified Akaike information criterion is defined to find the optimal number of partitions.Region boundary adjustment algorithms are adopted to optimize the partitioning results to further ensure the correlation of partitions.The traffic data of Melbourne city are used to verify the effectiveness of the proposed partitioning method.

文摘The single bottleneck node of ATM networks is considered. The virtual queue mechanism and the method of proportion-integral-differential(PID) control are adopted in the congestion control. The sufficient condition of the considered system’s stability is given. The method of determining the PID parameters is given further. To quicken the speed of startup and remove the congestion rapidly, the factors of increase and decrease are set according to the length of queue. The result of simulation shows that the system, given an appropriate group of parameters, can acquire good robustness and dynamic performance, and guarantees the quality of service at the same time.

文摘A novel nonlinear adaptive control method is presented for a near-space hypersonic vehicle (NHV) in the presence of strong uncertainties and disturbances. The control law consists of the optimal generalized predictive controller (OGPC) and the functional link network (FLN) direct adaptive law. OGPC is a continuous-time nonlinear predictive control law. The FLN adaptive law is used to offset the unknown uncertainties and disturbances in a flight through the online learning. The learning process does not need any offline training phase. The stability analyses of the NHV close-loop system are provided and it is proved that the system error and the weight learning error are uniformly ultimately hounded. Simulation results show the satisfactory performance of the con- troller for the attitude tracking.
文摘A fuzzy neural network controller with the teaching controller guidance and parameter regulations for vector-controlled induction motor is proposed. The design procedures of the fuzzy neural controller and the teaching controller are described. The parameters of the membership function are regulated by an on-line learning algorithm. The speed responses of the system under the condition, where the target functions are chosen as I qs and ω, are analyzed. The system responses with the variant of parameter moment of inertial J, viscous coefficients B and torque constant K tare also analyzed. Simulation results show that the control scheme and the controller have the advantages of rapid speed response and good robustness.

文摘Adaptive flight control technology, feedback linearization, model inversion theory are reviewed and the error dynamic characteristics are analyzed, and an adaptive on-line neural network attitude control system is presented. The model inversion is under the hover condition. And the adaptive control law based on the neural network is designed to guarantee the boundedness of tracking error and control signals. Simulation results demonstrate that the nonlinear neural network augmented model inversion can self-adapt to the uncertainty and modeling errors of unmanned helicopters. Results are compared while the parameters of PD controller and robustness items are changed.
文摘Aim To study the identification and control of nonlinear systems using neural networks. Methods A new type of neural network in which the dynamical error feedback is used to modify the inputs of the network was employed to reduce the inherent network approximation error. Results A new identification model constructed by the proposed network and stable filters was derived for continuous time nonlinear systems, and a stable adaptive control scheme based on the proposed networks was developed. Conclusion Theory and simulation results show that the modified neural network is feasible to control a class of nonlinear systems.
