Previous studies have confirmed that an active suspension system with high speed ON/OFF solenoid valves could provide the same vibration isolation efficiency as that of system with pressure proportional valve. In this study, by using Linear-quadratic optimization technique and Kalman filter method, an optimal regulator controller with a state observer was designed for the proposed system. Simulation and experimental research was conducted on a quarter car model. The simulation analysis of the system frequency characteristic suggested that the peak value of magnitude response curve in the case of system with an optimal controller would be lowered significantly, and the experiment results also showed that an improvement in the vibration isolation effect was obtained in using the designed optimal controller over the sky hook damper controller. 展开更多

Based on the nonlinear three-dimensional missile target engagement kinematics, the guidance model is es- tablished, The target acceleration is treated as a disturbance and the dynamics of the autopilot is considered by using a first-order model. A nonlinear continuous robust guidance law is designed by using a cascaded structure ADRC controller. In this method the disturbance is estimated by using the extended state observer (ESO) and compensated during each sampling period. Simulation results show that the proposed cascaded loop structure is a viable solution to the guidance law design and has strong robustness with respect to target maneuvers and response delay of the autopilot. 展开更多

The active anti-interference concept is introduced into the internal model control(IMC) by analyzing the relationship between IMC and disturbance observer control(DOB). Further, a design process of disturbance filter is presented to realize the active anti-interference ability for ADRIMC scheme. The disturbance filter is used to estimate an equivalent disturbance consisting of both external disturbances and internal disturbances caused by model mismatches.Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method possesses a good disturbance rejection performance, though losing some partial dynamic performance. In other words, the proposed method shows a tradeoff between the dynamic performance and the system robust. 展开更多

Based on the traditional active steering system, a novel active steering system integrated with electric power steering function was introduced, which can achieve the functions of both active steering and electric power steering. In view of the interference from road random signal and sensor noise in the novel active steering system, the H∞ control model of the novel active steering system was built. With satisfying steering feel, good robust performance and steering stability being the control objectives, the H∞ controller for the novel active front steering (AFS) system was designed. The simulation results show that the novel AFS system with H∞ control strategy can attenuate the road interference quickly, and there is no resonance peak in the bode diagram. It can make the driver obtain more useful information in the low frequency range, and attenuate the road interference better in the high frequency range, thus the driver can get more satisfying road feeling. Therefore, the designed H∞ controller can synthesize the advantages of both robust performance and robust stability, and has certain contribution to the design of novel AFS system. 展开更多

This paper investigates the feasibility of using an active dynamic vibration absorber(ADVA) for active vibration control of a flexible missile system through simulation.Based on the principles of a dynamic vibration absorber(DVA),a ring-type ADVA is first designed to attenuate the elastic vibration of the flexible missile,and the design of the active controller adopts the proportional-integral-derivative(PID)control algorithm.The motion equations of a flexible missile with an ADVA,which is subjected to follower thrust at its aft end,are derived using the Lagrangian approach.Taking the minimum of the root mean square(RMS) of the lateral displacement response of the center of mass as the objective function,a genetic algorithm(GA) is used to optimize the parameter of the DVA and PID controller.The numerical calculations show that the ADVA and DVA are effective in suppressing the vibration and provide approximately 41.2% and 17.6% improvement,respectively,compa red with the case of no DVA,The ADVA has better performance than the DVA,When the missile is subjected to follower thrust,the effect of vibration reduction is more effective than the case without follower thrust.It is feasible to reduce vibration and improve the stability of flexible missiles by means of the ADVA. 展开更多

High speed on/off solenoid valves were used as control valves and fuzzy control was chosen as control method . Based on force analyses of system parts, a mathematical model of the active suspension system was established and simplified by linearization method. Simulation study was conducted with Matlab and three scale coefficients of fuzzy controller (ke, kec, ku) were acquired. And an experimental device was designed and produced. The results indicate that the active suspension system can achieve better vibration isolation performance than passive suspension system, the displacement amplitude of automobile body can be reduced to 55%. Fuzzy control is an effective control method for active suspension system. 展开更多

A novel control strategy for three-phase shunt active power filter (SAPF) was proposed to improve its performance under non-ideal mains voltages. The approach was inspired by our finding that the classic instantaneous reactive power theory based algorithm was unsatisfactory in terms of isolating positive sequence fundamental active components exactly under non-ideal mains voltages. So, a modified ip-iq reference current calculation method was presented. With usage of the new method, not only the positive sequence but also the fundamental active current components can be accurately isolated from load current. A deadbeat closed-loop control model is built in order to eliminate both delay error and tracking error between reference voltages and compensation voltages under unbalanced and distorted mains voltages. Computer simulation results show that the proposed strategy is effective with better tracking ability and lower total harmonic distortion (THD). The strategy is also applied to a 10 kV substation with a local electrolysis manganese plant injecting a large amount of harmonics into the power system, and is proved to be more practical and efficient. 展开更多

A kind of active vibration control method was presented based on active damping and optimization design for driving load of multibody system with quick startup and brake. Dynamical equation of multibody system with quick startup and brake and piezoelectric actuators intelligent structure was built. The optimum driving load was calculated by applying the presented method. The self-sensing and self-tuning closed-loop active vibration control in quick startup and brake process was realized. The control algorithm, using local velocity negative feedback, i.e. the output of a sensor only affects the output of the actuator collocated, can induce damping effectively to actively suppress the system vibration. Based on the optimization design for driving load of multibody system with quick startup and bake, the active damping of piezoelectric actuators intelligent structure was used to farther suppress the vibration of system. Theoretical analysis and calculation of numerical show that the proposed method makes the vibration of system decrease more than the optimal design method for driving load of multibody system. 展开更多

In order to meet the precision requirements and tracking performance of the continuous rotary motor electro-hydraulic servo system under unknown strong non-linear and uncertain strong disturbance factors,such as dynamic uncertainty and parameter perturbation,an improved active disturbance rejection control(ADRC)strategy was proposed.The state space model of the fifth order closed-loop system was established based on the principle of valve-controlled hydraulic motor.Then the three parts of ADRC were improved by parameter perturbation and external disturbance;the fast tracking differentiator was introduced into linear and non-linear combinations;the nonlinear state error feedback was proposed using synovial control;the extended state observer was determined by nonlinear compensation.In addition,the grey wolf algorithm was used to set the parameters of the three parts.The simulation and experimental results show that the improved ADRC can realize the system frequency 12 Hz when the tracking accuracy and response speed meet the requirements of double ten indexes,which lay foundation for the motor application. 展开更多

This paper designs a joint controller/observer framework using a state dependent Riccati equation(SDRE)approach for an active transfemoral prosthesis system.An integral state control technique is utilized to design a tracking controller for a robot/prosthesis system.This framework promises a systematic flexible design using which multiple design specifications such as robustness,state estimation,and control optimality are achieved without the need for model linearization.Performance of the proposed approach is demonstrated through simulation studies,which show improvements versus a robust adaptive impedance controller and an extended Kalman filter-based state estimation method.Numerical results confirm the benefits of our method over the above-mentioned approaches with regard to control optimality and state estimation. 展开更多

Due to the coaxial connection of engine, motor and pump, the dynamic characteristics of hybrid construction machinery are changed, which generates a new torsional vibration problem of multi-power sources. To reduce the torsional vibration of the hybrid construction machinery complex shafting, torsional vibration active control was proposed. The three-mass model of coaxial shafting of hybrid construction machinery was established. The PID control and the fuzzy sliding mode control were chosen to weaken torsional vibration by controlling the motor speed and torque. The simulation results show that the fuzzy sliding mode control has 12% overshoot of the PID control when the engine torque changes. The active control is effective and can realize smooth power switch. 展开更多

Previous studies have confirmed in simulation and experiment that an improved control performance can be obtained when the optimal preview control method was applied to an active suspension system for a quarter car model. In order to investigate the effectiveness not only in riding comfort but also in road handling, an half car model with the hydro pneumatic active suspension system is proposed in this study. Whole preview control method and partial preview control method, in which the road information detected by the front wheel is sent to the controller to decide the input to rear suspension, are taken into design of the active suspension control system. Results of numerical simulation show that satisfactory control efficiency could be achieved in both whole preview control and partial preview control. The comparison of results suggests that whole preview control method can provide better system performance, but the partial preview control method is superior due to its lower cost. 展开更多

A fuzzy control system of vehicle suspension is designed, in which the sus pension travel output of the adaptive LQG control system is taken as the tracking objective. The simulation results prove that the suspension travel and vertical acceleration can be tracked simultaneously with the simple fuzzy controller, and the tracking effect of fuzzy control is better than that of the PID controller. 展开更多

Based on the inverse system method, the d-axis and q-axis current dynamics of the SHAPF system were decoupled and linearized into two pseudolinear subsystems. Then, an optimal feedback controUer was designed for the pseudolinear system, and the stability condition of the resulting zero dynamics was presented. Under the control strategy, the current dynamics can asymptotically converge to their reference states and the zero dynamics can be bounded. Simulation results show that the proposed control strategy is robust against load variations and system parameter mismatches, its steady-state performance is better than that of the traditional linear control strategy. 展开更多
