Due to the coaxial connection of engine, motor and pump, the dynamic characteristics of hybrid construction machinery are changed, which generates a new torsional vibration problem of multi-power sources. To reduce the torsional vibration of the hybrid construction machinery complex shafting, torsional vibration active control was proposed. The three-mass model of coaxial shafting of hybrid construction machinery was established. The PID control and the fuzzy sliding mode control were chosen to weaken torsional vibration by controlling the motor speed and torque. The simulation results show that the fuzzy sliding mode control has 12% overshoot of the PID control when the engine torque changes. The active control is effective and can realize smooth power switch. 展开更多

Because the rare-ear th all... Magnetostriction is a phenomenon in which a magneti c field is used to produce a change in size of some materials. This property has b een known in elements such as nickel, iron and cobalt. Because the rare-ear th alloy Terfenol-D can offer much larger strains than nickel, iron, cobalt, an d other smart materials such as piezoelectric materials, it is called giant magn etostrictive material. Making use of the giant magnetostrictive material, the gi ant magnetostrictive actuator has higher bandwidth and rapider response than oth er actuators. So it is widely used in active vibration control, especially in lo w frequency stage. In this paper, a turning vibration control system is develope d. The system has an actuator clamped in a flexor that is rigid in the feed and main cutting force directions, yet is flexible in the radial direction. The stru cture of the giant magnetostrictive actuator is developed after magnetic circuit and some structure parameter are calculated. According to the turning frequency , the transient and stable-state output of the giant magnetostrictive actuator is measured. The test result demonstrated that the actuator responses the input rapidly, and the actuator has perfect stable-state and transient output charact eristic. The characteristic includes the stable-state output linearity, repeata bility and transient delay between output displacement and input current. 展开更多

This article makes the first attempt in assessing the influence of active constrained layer damping(ACLD)treatment towards precise control of frequency responses of functionally graded skew-magneto-electroelastic(FGSMEE)plates by employing finite element methods.The materials are functionally graded across the thickness of the plate in terms of modest power-law distributions.The principal equations of motion of FGSMEE are derived via Hamilton’s principle and solved using condensation technique.The effect of ACLD patches are modelled by following the complex modulus approach(CMA).Additionally,distinctive emphasis is laid to evaluate the influence of geometrical skewness on the attenuation capabilities of the plate.The accuracy of the current analysis is corroborated with comparison of previous researches of similar kind.Additionally,a complete parametric study is directed to understand the combined impacts of various factors like coupling fields,patch location,fiber orientation of piezoelectric patch in association with skew angle and power-law index. 展开更多

The conventional linear quadratic regulator(LQR) control algorithm is one of the most popular active control algorithms.One important issue for LQR control algorithm is the reduction of structure's degrees of freedom(DOF). In this work, an LQR control algorithm with superelement model is intended to solve this issue leading to the fact that LQR control algorithm can be used in large finite element(FE) model for structure. In proposed model, the Craig-Bampton(C-B) method, which is one of the component mode syntheses(CMS), is used to establish superelement modeling to reduce structure's DOF and applied to LQR control algorithm to calculate Kalman gain matrix and obtain control forces. And then, the control forces are applied to original structure to simulate the responses of structure by vibration control. And some examples are given. The results show the computational efficiency of proposed model using synthesized models is higher than that of the classical method of LQR control when the DOF of structure is large. And the accuracy of proposed model is well. Meanwhile, the results show that the proposed control has more effects of vibration absorption on the ground structures than underground structures. 展开更多

To implement a simulation of fir-floating-platform with higher frequency vibration, A satdlite-gesture emulation system with the functions of selectable high-frequency vibration-simulation and high-accuracy stability (with the control resolution within ± 5 × 10^-4 angle-degrees), controlled by using filtered-feedback and fuzzy-preeminence technology is designed and structured. The system is based on the analysis of dynamic and static composed-force-moment and disturhance factors. Through computational simulation, laboratory experiments and field-demo, it is proved that the system operation is available, practical, and propitious for minifying drive-power. These system structures and control strategies can be widely used in the fields such as astronomy, space navigation, deep-sea operation, high altitude motion, and weightless experiment, where a floating body must be controlled or simulated. 展开更多

Reducing the self-noise and radiated noise of torpedo is an effective way to enhance its detection and concealment capabilities.After discussing the basic principle on noise and vibration control and main noise sources in torpedo,the application of damping treatment for noise and vibration absorption was proposed in this paper.Compared composite materials(damping and metal materials)used as segment joint,their different contributions to the damping performance of base structure were investigated.The results show that the damping material can be used as segment joint effectively in vibration control.Taking cantilever beam as an example,four different damping treatments were compared in natural frequency and damping loss factor,the results show the influences of different damping layer layouts on the structure damping performance,and offer a reference for the torpedo shell design. 展开更多
