Cross breeding strategies are very efficient for gaining new and superior genotypes. Ninety-eight new white poplar hybrid clones produced from 12 cross combinations within the Section Leuce Duby were studied using genetic analysis and seedling tests. We exploited the wide variation that exists in this population and found that the differences among diameter at breast height (DBH), root collar diameter (RCD) and height (H) were statistically extremely significant. The repeatability of clones of these measured traits ranged from 0.947-0.967, which indicated that these traits were strongly controlled by genetic factors. Based on multiple compari- sons, a total of 25 clones showed better performance in growth than the control cultivar. These 25 clones were from six different cross combinations, which can guarantee a larger genetic background for future new clone promotion projects. This study provides a simple overview on these clones and can guide us to carry out subsequent selection plans. 展开更多

It is a fastgrowing erect, annual herbaceous plant. Its seeds possess significant fracture healing, anti-asthmatic, anti-diabetic,hypoglycemic, nephrocurative and nephroprotective activities. In the present study, we assessed the genetic diversity of various genotypes of L. sativum using inter-simple sequence repeat(ISSR) markers. Out of 41 ISSR primers screened, 32 primers showed significant, clear and reproducible bands. A total of 510 amplified bands were obtained using 32 ISSR primers, out of which 422 bands were polymorphic and 88 bands were monomorphic. The percentage of polymorphism was found to be 82. A total of 35 unique alleles ranging insize from 200 to 2,900 bp were observed.Cluster analysis based on unweighted pair-group method, arithmetic mean divided the 18 genotypes into two main clusters, with the first having only HCS-08 genotype of L.sativum and other having all of the other 17 genotypes. The Jaccard similarity coefficient revealed a broad range32–72 % genetic relatedness among the 18 genotypes. 展开更多

Muddy baffles are one of the major geological factors controlling the underground fluid flow as well as the remaining oil distribution. This study used detailed drilling data from the E1f1 reservoir in the X Oilfield, Subei Basin, China, to investigate the hierarchical muddy baffles developed on lacustrine delta fronts and their precise cross-well correlation.According to the theories on allogenic and autogenic cycles as well as the genesis and scales of muddy baffles, five orders of muddy baffles were classified, which provided various degrees of difficulty when attempting interwell correlation. Under the guidance of a reliable stratigraphic model, the precise cross-well correlation of muddy baffles could be achieved and the key point of establishment of this stratigraphic model was to calculate foreset angles of hierarchical muddy baffles during deposition. During calculation, the relationships between sediment flow direction, higher-order strata dipping direction, well types and well trajectory direction should all be taken into consideration and some other angles(referred to here as θ1,θ2 and θ3) should also be measured. Such new methods of cross-well correlation for hierarchical muddy baffles could greatly reduce the uncertainties and multiple solutions, which in turn would be significant for efficient development and oil recovery enhancement in the reservoirs. 展开更多
