Metal Additive Manufacturing(MAM) technology has become an important means of rapid prototyping precision manufacturing of special high dynamic heterogeneous complex parts. In response to the micromechanical defects such as porosity issues, significant deformation, surface cracks, and challenging control of surface morphology encountered during the selective laser melting(SLM) additive manufacturing(AM) process of specialized Micro Electromechanical System(MEMS) components, multiparameter optimization and micro powder melt pool/macro-scale mechanical properties control simulation of specialized components are conducted. The optimal parameters obtained through highprecision preparation and machining of components and static/high dynamic verification are: laser power of 110 W, laser speed of 600 mm/s, laser diameter of 75 μm, and scanning spacing of 50 μm. The density of the subordinate components under this reference can reach 99.15%, the surface hardness can reach 51.9 HRA, the yield strength can reach 550 MPa, the maximum machining error of the components is 4.73%, and the average surface roughness is 0.45 μm. Through dynamic hammering and high dynamic firing verification, SLM components meet the requirements for overload resistance. The results have proven that MEM technology can provide a new means for the processing of MEMS components applied in high dynamic environments. The parameters obtained in the conclusion can provide a design basis for the additive preparation of MEMS components. 展开更多

According to different damage modes, warheads are roughly divided into three types:fragmentation warheads, shaped charge warheads, and penetrating warheads.Due to limitations in material and structural manufacturing, traditional manufacturing methods make it difficult to fully utilize the damage ability of the warhead.Additive manufacturing(AM)technology can fabricate complex structures, with classified materials composition and customized components, while achieving low cost, high accuracy, and rapid production of the parts. The maturity of AM technology has brought about a new round of revolution in the field of warheads. In this paper,we first review the principles, classifications, and characteristics of different AM technologies. The development trends of AM technologies are pointed out, including multi-material AM technology, hybrid AM technology, and smart AM technology. From our survey,PBF,DED,and EBM technologies are mainly used to manufacture warhead damage elements.FDM and DIW technologies are mainly used to manufacture warhead charges. Then, the research on the application of AM technology in three types of warhead and warhead charges was reviewed and the existing problems and progress of AM technologies in each warhead were analyzed. Finally,we summarized the typical applications and look forward to the application prospects of AM technology in the field of warheads. 展开更多

An in-depth understanding of the fracture behavior and mechanism of metallic shells under internal explosive loading can help develop material designs for warheads and regulate the quantity and mass distribution of the fragments formed. This study investigated the fragmentation performance of a new high-carbon silicon-manganese(HCSiMn)steel cylindrical shell through fragment recovery experiments.Compared with the conventional 45Cr steel shell, the number of small mass fragments produced by the HCSi Mn steel shell was significantly increased with a scale parameter of 0.57 g fitted by the Weibull distribution model. The fragmentation process of the HCSi Mn shell exhibited more brittle tensile fracture characteristics, with the microcrack damage zone on the outer surface being the direct cause of its high fragmentation. On the one hand, the doping of alloy elements resulted in grain refinement by forming metallographic structure of tempered sorbite,so that microscopic intergranular fracture reduces the characteristic mass of the fragments;on the other hand, the distribution of alloy carbides can exert a"pinning"effect on the substrate grains, causing more initial cracks to form and propagate along the brittle carbides, further improving the shell fragmentation.Although the killing power radius for light armored vehicles was slightly reduced by about 6%,the dense killing radius of HCSiMn steel projectile against personnel can be significantly increased by about 26%based on theoretical assessment. These results provided an experimental basis for high fragmentation warhead design, and to some extent, revealed the correlation mechanism between metallographic structure and shell fragmentation. 展开更多

Taking CL-20(Hexanitrohexaazaisowurtzitane)-based aluminized explosives with high gurney energy as the research object, this research experimentally investigates the work capability of different aluminized explosive formulations when driving metal flyer plates in the denotation wave propagation direction. The research results showed that the formulations with 43 μm aluminum(Al) powder particles(The particle sizes of Al powder were in the range of 2~43 μm) exhibited the optimal performance in driving flyer plates along the denotation wave propagation direction. Compared to the formulations with Al powder 13 μm, the formulations with Al powder 2 μm delivered better performance in accelerating metal flyer plates in the early stage, which, however, turned to be poor in the later stage. The CL-20-based explosives containing 25% Al far under-performed those containing 15% Al. Based on the proposed quasi-isentropic hypothesis, relevant isentropy theories, and the functional relationship between detonation parameters and entropy as well as Al reaction degree, the characteristic lines of aluminized explosives in accelerating flyer plates were theoretically studied, a quasi-isentropic theoretical model for the aluminized explosive driving the flyer plate was built and the calculation methods for the variations of flyer plate velocity, Al reaction degree, and detonation product parameters with time and axial positions were developed. The theoretical model built is verified by the experimental results of the CL-20-based aluminized explosive driving flyer plate. It was found that the model built could accurately calculate the variations of flyer plate velocity and Al reaction degree over time. In addition, how physical parameters including detonation product pressure and temperature varied with time and axial positions was identified. The action time of the positive pressure after the detonation of aluminized explosives was found prolonged and the downtrend of the temperature was slowed down and even reversed to a slight rise due to the aftereffect reaction between the Al powder and the detonation products. 展开更多
