Ni-rich layered oxides are considered promising cathodes for advanced lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)in the future,owing to their high capacity and low cost.However,the issues on structural and interfacial stability of Ni...Ni-rich layered oxides are considered promising cathodes for advanced lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)in the future,owing to their high capacity and low cost.However,the issues on structural and interfacial stability of Ni-rich cathodes still pose substantial obstacles in the practical application of advanced LIBs.Here,we employ a one-step method to synthesize a B-doped and La_(4)NiLiO_(8)-coated LiNi_(0.82)5Co_(0.115)Mn_(0.06)O_(2)(BL-1)cathode with reliable structure and interface,for the first time.The La_(4)NiLiO_(8)coating layer can prevent cathodes from electrolyte assault and facilitate Li+diffusion kinetics.Moreover,B-doping can effectively restrain the pernicious H_(2)-H_(3) phase transition and adjust the orientation of primary particles to a radial alignment,which is obstructive to the arise of microcracks induced by the change of anisotropic volume.Specifically,when tested in pouch cells,the BL-1 cathode exhibits outstanding capacity retention of 93.49%after 500 cycles at 1 C.This dual-modification strategy dramatically enhances the stability of the structure and interface for Ni-rich cathode materials,consequently accelerating the commercialization process of high-energy–density LIBs.展开更多

Methods Medical records of 8005 patients, who underwent la...Objective To summarize the clinical features and outcomes of unsuspected gallbladder carcinoma (HGC) detected during or after laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Methods Medical records of 8005 patients, who underwent laparoscopic cholecystectomy in Peking Hnion Medical College Hospital between June 1993 and June 2011, were reviewed. Patients that pathologically diagnosed as HGC were retrospectively studied in terms of clinical features, preoperative and postoperative diagnosis, surviving period, and complications. Results In the 8005 patients who received laparoscopic cholecystectomy, 36 (0.45%) were diagnosed as LIGC during (25 patients) or after (11 patients) laparoscopic cholecystectomy. The gallbladder cancer was staged as T1 in 16 patients, T2 in 11 patients, and T3 in 9 patients. The 1-, 3-, and 5-year survival rates of all the patients were 88.9% (32/36), 63.9% (23/36), and 58.3% (21/36). The 5-year survival rates in T1 stage, T2 stage, and T3 stage patients were 100%, 75.0%, and 0.0%, respectively. Conclusions The survival rate of HGC is associated with tumor stage, not with operation approaches. Laparoscopic cholecystectomy is appropriate for T 1 patients.展开更多

White birch(Betula platyphylla)is precious material for pulpwood and widely distributed in 14 provinces of China.Previous study indicated that inhibited expression of a gene encoding an auxin amide synthase,BpGH3.5,in...White birch(Betula platyphylla)is precious material for pulpwood and widely distributed in 14 provinces of China.Previous study indicated that inhibited expression of a gene encoding an auxin amide synthase,BpGH3.5,in transgenic plants reduced the level of IAA–amino acid conjugation,resulting in more free IAA,thereby better growth of birch.Utilizing transgenic-B pGH3.5 lines to increase wood production in a wide range of environments is the goal for breeders.In three field trials here,we measured tree height,diameter at breast height,and volume of 16 BpGH3.5-transgenic 7-year-old white birch lines(including 12 antisense strand lines and 4 overexpression lines)and a wild-type white birch line from three sites that varied greatly in their environmental conditions.To select elite BpGH3.5-transgenic lines for each target environment,we used an additive main effects and multiplicative interaction model to analyze genotype by environment interaction,growth adaptability and stability.The selection criteria for elite transgenic lines were set as the average volume plus 0.75 times the standard deviation for the tested lines at each test site.Results showed that the effect of line and site for height was highly significant(P<0.01),and the effect of line×site was significant(P<0.05);selected as the elite lines were FG12,FG13 and FG27 at the Maoershan Experimental Forest Farm,FG13 and FG32 at the Shidaohe Forest Farm,and FG3 and FG31 at the Ecological Experiment Forest Farm.These seven high-yield,stable lines can now be tested in production trials or adjacent trial areas with similar environmental conditions,while the high-yield,unstable lines should be tested in production trials in areas deemed suitable for their growth.These results provide guidance on which released transgenic elite lines will grow best in a wide range of conditions.展开更多
In semiconductor quantum dot systems,pulse distortion is a significant source of coherent errors,which impedes qubit characterization and control.Here,we demonstrate two calibration methods using a two-qubit system as...In semiconductor quantum dot systems,pulse distortion is a significant source of coherent errors,which impedes qubit characterization and control.Here,we demonstrate two calibration methods using a two-qubit system as the detector to correct distortion and calibrate the transfer function of the control line.Both methods are straightforward to implement,robust against noise,and applicable to a wide range of qubit types.The two methods differ in correction accuracy and complexity.The first,coarse predistortion(CPD)method,partially mitigates distortion.The second,all predistortion(APD)method,measures the transfer function and significantly enhances exchange oscillation uniformity.Both methods use exchange oscillation homogeneity as the metric and are suitable for any qubit driven by a diabatic pulse.We believe these methods will enhance qubit characterization accuracy and operation quality in future applications.展开更多
