One stable couple of waves correspond...The electrochemical behavior of the film of single wall carbon nanotube(SWNT) functionalized with carboxylic acid group was studied extensively at the glassy carbon(GC) electrode. One stable couple of waves corresponding to the redox of the carboxylic acid group, which was supported by the IR experiments, was observed. The electrode process involved four electrons, while the rate determining step was a one-electron reduction. The SWNT film modified electrode showed nice electrocatalytic behaviors toward the oxidations of some biomolecules such as dopamine, epinephrine and ascorbic acid.展开更多

After refluxed in HNO 3, the ends of SWNT were opened and oxidized into carboxylate group, which may react with other reagents. For chemical modification of SWNT, the carboxyl terminated SWNT reacted with CH 3(CH 2) 15 NH 2 with the aid of the condensation agent DCC to obtain the derivatives of SWNT with the amido alkyl chain which enhanced the solubility of SWNT in organic solvent. The results of micro IR prove the formation of amido group in SWNT sample(\{ (CO)=\}1 647 cm -1 ). The FT Raman results show that SWNT sample preserve its structure after the condensation reaction( ω r=181 cm -1 ). [WT5HZ]展开更多

The micrographs and corresponding diffraction patterns showed that the nanocrystals with perfect crystal structure conformed to diamond clusters. The successful purification of Sm metallofullerene w...Sm@C 82 (Ⅲ) was effectively extracted by the high temperature DMF extraction and separated in one step HPLC, making the further studies of its properties possible. The successful purification of Sm metallofullerene with such a low yield indicates that the high temperature DMF extraction is much effective. The cyclic and differential pulse voltammgrams of the pure Sm@C 82 (Ⅲ) were first measured, indicating that it has a good electron accepted ability. Up to 6 electrons can be added to them. The analysis of the potentials, the potential differential and the number of electron transferred show that Sm prefers to take +2 charge state in the carbon cage. The study of electronic structure would help us to produce, extract more metallofullerenes and synthesize useful materials.展开更多
