The anatom...Totally 26 provenance stands of 17-year-old Korean pine were selected for investigating wood properties and growth characters in Mao抏rshan Experimental Forest Farm of Northeast Forestry University in 1999. The anatomical property indexes, including tracheid length, tracheid diameter and wall-indiameter ratio, and the physical property indexes, such as growth ring width, late wood percentage and growth ring density, were measured for wood properties. Growth character indexes, including tree height and diameter at breast height, were also measured. The analytical results showed that there exited obviously dif-ference in wood property indexes between different provenances, which is suggested that wood properties are controlled by their genetic differences. The growth character indexes of Korean pines presented significant difference and they might also be controlled by their genetic differences. Most parameters of wood properties mainly varied in the direction of longitude, but the parameters of growth characters varied in the direction of latitude.展开更多

(2) The Xiaobehu provenance with low elevation and low equivalent latitude is the good gene resource center of L. olgensis It has the genetic characters of rapid growth, high stability and finetimber quality. (3) The synthetical interaction between water and heat factors is the major factor to produce the variation ofL. olgensis and the tempcrayurc is the principal one. (4) Among the genetic variations of geographic population characters,the variation of growth is the most obvious one, and it could be taken as the main character for provenance division. (5) Byallocating the secds from the low equivalent latitude region to the northem suitable afforestation areas, the greater geneticgain could be obtained.展开更多

Comparedwith the contrast, 29 superior familics and 21 inferior families areselected from 112 families of half sib and open pollination of seven-year old scots pine stands by using multicharacters correlations analysis and variance analysis (ANOVA) as well as principal component index (PCI) selection. This index selection which collects multicharacters information has more advantage than monocharacter selection. It is very important to select fine famiIies for buildingthe first generation seed orchard and changing from trial stand toseeding orchard.展开更多

Stunned ...A comparative study was performed of the permeability of cell membranous structures in canine stunned myocardium and that of infarct myocardium by using colloidal lanthanum nitrate as an ultrastructure probe. Stunned myocardium was characterized by mitochondrial swelling, vacuolar formation, a few lanthanum granules deposrting inside cells and intact structure of such membranes as cell membrane, mitochondrial membrane and lysosome membrane.Infarct myocardium was characterized by a large number of lanthanum granules passing through ruptured cell membrane and depositing in the cytoplasm and mitochondria. These results suggest that membranous structure remained intact during the occurrence of stunned myocardium.展开更多
