The width of the isotopic distributions for lSN projectile is significantly broader than that for 17N projectile, and the average N/Z ratio of the former shifts to higher neutron number side. As long as the realistic nucleon density distribution is used, the isotopic distribution for fragments is reproduced by the simple abrasion-ablation model calculation, which thus provides an independent way to determine the surface distribution of the nuclear matter density for neutron-rich nuclei.展开更多

The photon responses were measured with 22Na, 137Cs and 54Mn photon sources and simulated using the GRESP code, which was developed at the Physiknlisch Technische Bundesanstalt in Germany. Pulse height spectra produced by three different photon sources were employed to investigate the effects of the unfolding techniques. It was found that the four unfolding codes of the HEPRO and UMG3.3 packages, including GRAVEL, UNFANA, MIEKE and MAXED, performed well with the test spectra and produced generally consistent results. They could therefore be used to obtain neutron energy spectra in toknmak experiments.展开更多

Finite-range distorted-wave Born approximation calculations suggest that these ^7 Li particles are formed in a direct single-proton pickup reaction ^9Be(^6He,^7 Li)^8Li. The experimental data can be well reproduced by taking into account of the contributions of both the ground states and the first excited states of ^7Li and ^8Li.展开更多

A new neutron time-of-flight (TOF) spectrometer with double scintillators is designed and optimized for the EAST toknmak. A set of optimM parameters is obtained by Monte Carlo simulation, based on the GEANT4 and ROOT codes. The electronic setup of the measurement system is designed. The count rate capability is increased by introducing a flash ADC. The designed spectrometer with high resolution and efficiency is capable of being applied to fusion neutron diagnostics. Applications in mixed-energy and continuous energy neutron fields can also be considered.展开更多

The array was calibrated using the cosmic ray, the 7 ray from the 6He+Pb reaction and the mono-energetic neutrons from the 7Li(p, n)TBe(g.s.+0.43 MeV) reaction. The position resolution, timing resolution and neutron de- tection efficiency were obtained accordingly. Cross-talk rejection conditions were developed based on analysis of the data taken from the 7Li(p, n)TBe(g.s.+0.43 MeV) test experiment, and finally a preliminary two-neutron correlation function for the SHe breakup reaction was investigated.展开更多

In the break-up reaction of 17^Ne, one-proton knockout would result in an unstable nu- cleus 16^F, which would further decay by the proton emission. The measured angular correlation between the 16^F momentum and the relative momentum of its decay products was compared with theoretical calculations and indicated that the valence proton in 17^Ne has the most probability to be situated in the s1/2 orbital with a small admixture of the d5/2 orbital. The present results suggest that 17^Ne has a halo structure.展开更多
