In response to this problem, this paper takes the elbow of the gathering pipeline in the Changning Shale Gas Field as an example to test the erosion rate and material removal mechanism of the test piece at different angles of the elbow through experiments and compares the four erosion models with the experimental results. Through analysis, it is found that the best prediction model for quartz sand-carbon steel erosion is the Oka model. Based on the Oka model, FLUENT software was used to simulate and analyze the law of erosion of the elbow of the gas gathering pipeline under different gas flow velocities, gas gathering pressure, particle size, length of L1,and bending directions of the elbow. 文摘Establishing a base on the Moon is one of the new goals of human lunar exploration in recent years.Sintered lunar regolith is one of the most potential building materials for lunar bases. The physical, mechanical and thermal properties of sintered lunar regolith are vital performance indices for the structural design of a lunar base and analysis of many critical mechanical and thermal issues. In this study, the HUST-1 lunar regolith simulant(HLRS)was sintered at 1030,1040,1050,1060,1070,and 1080℃.The effect of sintering temperature on the compressive strength was investigated, and the exact value of the optimum vacuum sintering temperature was determined between 1040 and 1060℃.Then,the microstructure and material composition of vacuum sintered HLRS at different temperatures were characterized. It was found that the sintering temperature has no significant effect on the mineral composition in the temperature range of 1030-1080℃.Besides,the heat capacity, thermal conductivity, and coefficient of thermal expansion(CTE)of vacuum sintered HLRS at different temperatures were investigated.Specific heat capacity of sintered samples increases with the increase of test temperature within the temperature range from-75 to 145℃.Besides,the thermal conductivity of the sintered sample is proportional to density. Finally, the two temperatures of 1040 and 1050℃were selected for a more detailed study of mechanical properties. The results showed that compressive strength of sintered sample is much higher than tensile strength. This study reveals the effects of sintering temperature on the physical, mechanical and thermal properties of vacuum sintered HLRS,and these material parameters will provide support for the construction of future lunar bases.

文摘The supercritical CO_(2) Brayton cycle is considered a promising energy conversion system for Generation IV reactors for its simple layout, compact structure, and high cycle efficiency.Mathematical models of four Brayton cycle layouts are developed in this study for different reactors to reduce the cost and increase the thermohydraulic performance of nuclear power generation to promote the commercialization of nuclear energy.Parametric analysis,multi-objective optimizations, and four decision-making methods are applied to obtain each Brayton scheme’s optimal thermohydraulic and economic indexes. Results show that for the same design thermal power scale of reactors, the higher the core’s exit temperature, the better the Brayton cycle’s thermo-economic performance.Among the four-cycle layouts, the recompression cycle(RC)has the best overall performance, followed by the simple recuperation cycle(SR)and the intercooling cycle(IC),and the worst is the reheating cycle(RH).However,RH has the lowest total cost of investment(C_(tot))of$1619.85 million, and IC has the lowest levelized cost of energy(LCOE)of 0.012$/(kWh).The nuclear Brayton cycle system’s overall performance has been improved due to optimization. The performance of the molten salt reactor combined with the intercooling cycle(MSR-IC)scheme has the greatest improvement, with the net output power(W_(net)),thermal efficiencyη_(t),and exergy efficiency(η_(e))improved by 8.58%,8.58%,and 11.21%,respectively.The performance of the lead-cooled fast reactor combined with the simple recuperation cycle scheme was optimized to increase C_(tot) by 27.78%.In comparison, the internal rate of return(IRR)increased by only 7.8%,which is not friendly to investors with limited funds. For the nuclear Brayton cycle, the molten salt reactor combined with the recompression cycle scheme should receive priority, and the gas-cooled fast reactor combined with the reheating cycle scheme should be considered carefully.

文摘Knowledge of the mechanical behavior of planetary rocks is indispensable for space explorations. The scarcity of pristine samples and the irregular shapes of planetary meteorites make it difficult to obtain representative samples for conventional macroscale rock mechanics experiments(macro-RMEs).This critical review discusses recent advances in microscale RMEs(micro-RMEs)techniques and the upscaling methods for extracting mechanical parameters. Methods of mineralogical and microstructural analyses, along with non-destructive mechanical techniques, have provided new opportunities for studying planetary rocks with unprecedented precision and capabilities.First,we summarize several mainstream methods for obtaining the mineralogy and microstructure of planetary rocks. Then, nondestructive micromechanical testing methods, nanoindentation and atomic force microscopy(AFM),are detailed reviewed, illustrating the principles, advantages, influencing factors, and available testing results from literature.Subsequently, several feasible upscaling methods that bridge the micro-measurements of meteorite pieces to the strength of the intact body are introduced. Finally, the potential applications of planetary rock mechanics research to guiding the design and execution of space missions are environed, ranging from sample return missions and planetary defense to extraterrestrial construction. These discussions are expected to broaden the understanding of the microscale mechanical properties of planetary rocks and their significant role in deep space exploration.

文摘The compaction quality of subgrade filler strongly affects subgrade settlement. The main objective of this research is to analyze the macro-and micro-mechanical compaction characteristics of subgrade filler based on the real shape of coarse particles.First,an improved Viola-Jones algorithm is employed to establish a digitalized 2D particle database for coarse particle shape evaluation and discrete modeling purposes of subgrade filler.Shape indexes of 2D subgrade filler are then computed and statistically analyzed. Finally, numerical simulations are performed to quantitatively investigate the effects of the aspect ratio(AR)and interparticle friction coefficient(μ)on the macro-and micro-mechanical compaction characteristics of subgrade filler based on the discrete element method(DEM).The results show that with the increasing AR,the coarse particles are narrower, leading to the increasing movement of fine particles during compaction, which indicates that it is difficult for slender coarse particles to inhibit the migration of fine particles. Moreover, the average displacement of particles is strongly influenced by the AR,indicating that their occlusion under power relies on particle shapes. The dis-placement and velocity of fine particles are much greater than those of the coarse particles, which shows that compaction is primarily a migration of fine particles.Under the cyclic load, the interparticle friction coefficientμhas little effect on the internal structure of the sample;under the quasi-static loads, however, the increase inμwill lead to a significant increase in the porosity of the sample. This study could not only provide a novel approach to investigate the compaction mechanism but also establish a new theoretical basis for the evaluation of intelligent subgrade compaction.

文摘The damage evolution process of non-penetrating cracks often causes some unexpected engineering disasters.Gypsum specimens containing non-penetrating crack(s)are used to study the damage evolution and characteristics under cyclic loading. The results show that under cyclic loading, the relationship between the number of non-penetrating crack(s)and the characteristic parameters(cyclic number, peak stress, peak strain, failure stress, and failure strain)of the pre-cracked specimens can be represented by a decreasing linear function. The damage evolution equation is fitted by calibrating the accumulative plastic strain for each cycle, and the damage constitutive equation is proposed by the concept of effective stress.Additionally,non-penetrating cracks are more likely to cause uneven stress distribution, damage accumulation, and local failure of specimen. The local failure can change the stress distribution and relieve the inhibition of non-penetrating crack extension and eventually cause a dramatic destruction of the specimen. Therefore, the evolution process caused by non-penetrating cracks can be regarded as one of the important reasons for inducing rockburst. These results are expected to improve the understanding of the process of spalling formation and rockburst and can be used to analyze the stability of rocks or rock structures.

文摘This study delves into the intricate relationship between iron(Fe)content in kaolinite and its impact on the adsorption behavior of sodium oleate. The effects of different iron concentrations on adsorption energy, hydrogen bond kinetics and adsorption efficiency were studied through simulation and experimental verification. The results show that the presence of iron in the kaolinite structure significantly improves the adsorption capacity of sodium oleate.Kaolinite samples with high iron content have better adsorption properties, lower adsorption energy levels and shorter and stronger hydrogen bonds than pure kaolinite. The optimal concentration of oleic acid ions for achieving maximum adsorption efficiency was identified as 1.2 mmol/L across different kaolinite samples. At this concentration, the adsorption rates and capacities reach their peak, with Fe-enriched kaolinite samples exhibiting notably higher flotation recovery rates. This optimal concentration represents a balance between sufficient oleic acid ion availability for surface interactions and the prevention of self-aggregation phenomena that could hinder adsorption. This study offers promising avenues for optimizing the flotation process in mineral processing applications.

文摘Some rock joints exhibit significant brittleness, characterized by a sharp decrease in shear stress upon reaching the peak strength. However, existing models often fail to accurately represent this behavior and are encumbered by numerous parameters lacking clear mechanical significance. This study presents a new statistical damage constitutive model rooted in both damage mechanics and statistics, containing only three model parameters. The proposed model encompasses all stages of joint shearing, including the compaction stage, linear stage, plastic yielding stage, drop stage, strain softening stage, and residual strength stage. To derive the analytical expression of the constitutive model, three boundary conditions are introduced.Experimental data from both natural and artificial rock joints is utilized to validate the model, resulting in average absolute relative errors ranging from 3%to 8%.Moreover,a comparative analysis with established models illustrates that the proposed model captures stress drop and post-peak strain softening more effectively, with model parameters possessing clearer mechanical interpretations.Furthermore, parameter analysis is conducted to investigate the impacts of model parameters on the curves and unveil the relationship between these parameters and the mechanical properties of rock joints.Importantly, the proposed model is straightforward in form, and all model parameters can be obtained from direct shear tests, thus facilitating the utilization in numerical simulations.

文摘The flame propagation processes of MgH_(2)dust clouds with four different particle sizes were recorded by a high-speed camera. The dynamic flame temperature distributions of MgH_(2)dust clouds were reconstructed by the two-color pyrometer technique, and the chemical composition of solid combustion residues were analyzed. The experimental results showed that the average flame propagation velocities of 23μm,40μm,60μm and 103μm MgH_(2)dust clouds in the stable propagation stage were 3.7 m/s,2.8 m/s,2.1 m/s and 0.9 m/s,respectively.The dust clouds with smaller particle sizes had faster flame propagation velocity and stronger oscillation intensity, and their flame temperature distributions were more even and the temperature gradients were smaller. The flame structures of MgH_(2)dust clouds were significantly affected by the particle sinking velocity, and the combustion processes were accompanied by micro-explosion of particles. The falling velocities of 23μm and 40μm MgH_(2)particles were 2.24 cm/s and 6.71 cm/s,respectively.While the falling velocities of 60μm and 103μm MgH_(2)particles were as high as 15.07 cm/s and 44.42 cm/s,respectively,leading to a more rapid downward development and irregular shape of the flame.Furthermore, the dehydrogenation reaction had a significant effect on the combustion performance of MgH_(2)dust.The combustion of H_(2)enhanced the ignition and combustion characteristics of MgH_(2)dust,resulting in a much higher explosion power than the pure Mg dust. The micro-structure characteristics and combustion residues composition analysis of MgH_(2)dust indicated that the combustion control mechanism of MgH_(2)dust flame was mainly the heterogeneous reaction, which was affected by the dehydrogenation reaction.

文摘During the production period of shale gas, proppant particles and rock debris are produced together, which will seriously erode the elbows of gathering pipelines. And a spiral pipeline structure is proposed to reduce the erosion rate of the elbow under the same working conditions. The results show that this structure can reduce erosion by 34%.

文摘High-energy gas fracturing of shale is a novel, high efficacy and eco-friendly mining technique, which is a typical dynamic perturbing behavior. To effectively extract shale gas,it is important to understand the dynamic mechanical properties of shale.Dynamic experiments on shale subjected to true triaxial compression at different strain rates are first conducted in this research. The dynamic stress-strain curves, peak strain, peak stress and failure modes of shale are investigated. The results of the study indicate that the intermediate principal stress and the minor principal stress have the significant influence on the dynamic mechanical behaviors, although this effect decreases as the strain rate increases. The characteristics of compression-shear failure primarily occur in shale subjected to triaxial compression at high strain rates, which distinguishes it from the fragmentation characteristics observed in shale under dynamic uniaxial compression.Additionally,a numerical three-dimensional Split Hopkinson Pressure Bar(3D-SHPB),which is established by coupling PFC3D and FLAC3D methods,is validated to replicate the laboratory characteristics of shale. The dynamic mechanical characteristics of shale subjected to different confining stresses are systematically investigated by the coupling PFC3D and FLAC3D method. The numerical results are in good agreement with the experimental data.

文摘Adopting the classical theory of hydrocodes, the constitutive relations of concretes are separated into an equation of state(EoS)which describes the volumetric behavior of concrete material and a strength model which depicts the shear properties of concrete. The experiments on the EoS of concrete is always challenging due to the technical difficulties and equipment limitations, especially for the specimen size effect on the EoS.Although some researchers investigate the shock properties of concretes by fly-plate impact tests, the specimens used in their tests are usually in one size.In this paper, the fly-plate impact tests on concrete specimens with different sizes are performed to investigate the size effect on the shock properties of concrete materials. The mechanical background of the size effect on the shock properties are revealed, which is related to the lateral rarefaction effect and the deviatoric stress produced in the specimen.According to the tests results, the modified EoS considering the size effect on the shock properties of concrete are proposed, which the bulk modulus of concrete is unpredicted by up to 20% if size effects are not accounted for.

文摘In order to overcome the defects that the analysis of multi-well typical curves of shale gas reservoirs is rarely applied to engineering, this study proposes a robust production data analysis method based on deconvolution, which is used for multi-well inter-well interference research. In this study,a multi-well conceptual trilinear seepage model for multi-stage fractured horizontal wells was established, and its Laplace solutions under two different outer boundary conditions were obtained. Then,an improved pressure deconvolution algorithm was used to normalize the scattered production data.Furthermore, the typical curve fitting was carried out using the production data and the seepage model solution. Finally, some reservoir parameters and fracturing parameters were interpreted, and the intensity of inter-well interference was compared. The effectiveness of the method was verified by analyzing the production dynamic data of six shale gas wells in Duvernay area. The results showed that the fitting effect of typical curves was greatly improved due to the mutual restriction between deconvolution calculation parameter debugging and seepage model parameter debugging.Besides,by using the morphological characteristics of the log-log typical curves and the time corresponding to the intersection point of the log-log typical curves of two models under different outer boundary conditions, the strength of the interference between wells on the same well platform was well judged. This work can provide a reference for the optimization of well spacing and hydraulic fracturing measures for shale gas wells.

文摘Methane(CH_(4))and carbon dioxide(CO_(2))are primary components of coal seam gas(CSG).Understanding their adsorption-desorption hysteresis characteristics, along with the fundamental mechanism,is crucial for CSG exploitation and related hazards mitigation. This research focused on the representative Bulli coal seam in the Sydney Basin,Australia.Through the purpose-built indirect gravimetric high-pressure isothermal adsorption-desorption hysteresis experiment,a novel Langmuir-based desorption model, incorporating hysteresis effect and residual gas,was proposed.Quantitative characterization of the adsorption-desorption hysteresis degrees of CO_(2)and CH_(4)i n coal particles of various sizes and inΦ50mm 100 mm intact coal samples were achieved using the improved hysteresis index(IHI).The experimental findings validated that the proposed desorption model accurately describes the desorption behavior of CO_(2)and CH_(4)in coal(R^(2)>0.99).Based on the adsorption-desorption properties of inkbottle-shaped micropores and pore deformation caused by gas adsorption-induced coal expansion, the occurrence mechanism of adsorption–desorption hysteresis and the fundamental reasons for the presence of residual gas were elucidated.Furthermore, the study explored the impact of CO_(2)and CH_(4)adsorption-desorption hysteresis effects on coal and gas outbursts, suggesting that coal seams rich in CO_(2)do not have a higher propensity for outbursts than those rich in CH_(4).

文摘Doped two-dimensional(2D)materials hold significant promise for advancing many technologies, such as microelectronics, optoelectronics, and energy storage.Herein,n-type 2D oxidized Si nanosheets, namely n-type siloxene(n-SX),are employed as Li-ion battery anodes.Via thermal evaporation of sodium hypophosphite at 275℃,P atoms are effectively incorporated into siloxene(SX)without compromising its 2D layered morphology and unique Kautsky-type crystal structure.Further, selective nucleophilic substitution occurs, with only Si atoms being replaced by P atoms in the O_(3)≡Si-H tetrahedra. The resulting n-SX possesses two delocalized electrons arising from the presence of two electron donor types:(i)P atoms residing in Si sites and(ii)H vacancies. The doping concentrations are varied by controlling the amount of precursors or their mean free paths.Even at 2000 mA g^(-1),the n-SX electrode with the optimized doping concentration(6.7×10^(19) atoms cm^(-3))delivers a capacity of 594 mAh g^(-1) with a 73%capacity retention after 500 cycles. These improvements originate from the enhanced kinetics of charge transport processes, including electronic conduction, charge transfer, and solid-state diffusion. The approach proposed herein offers an unprecedented route for engineering SX anodes to boost Li-ion storage.

文摘The high and steep slopes along a high-speed railway in the mountainous area of Southwest China are mostly composed of loose accumulations of debris with large internal pores and poor stability, which can easily induce adverse geological disasters under rainfall conditions. To ensure the smooth construction of the high-speed railway and the subsequent safe operation,it is necessary to master the stability evolution process of the loose accumulation slope under rainfall. This article simulates rainfall using the finite element analysis software’s hydromechanical coupling module. The slope stability under various rainfall situations is calculated and analysed based on the strength reduction method. To validate the simulation results,a field monitoring system is established to study the deformation characteristics of the slope under rainfall. The results show that rainfall duration is the key factor affecting slope stability.Given a constant amount of rainfall, the stability of the slope decreases with increasing duration of rainfall. Moreover, when the amount and duration of rainfall are constant, continuous rainfall has a greater impact on slope stability than intermittent rainfall. The setting of the field retaining structures has a significant role in improving slope stability. The field monitoring data show that the slope is in the initial deformation stage and has good stability, which verifies the rationality of the numerical simulation method. The research results can provide some references for understanding the influence of rainfall on the stability of loose accumulation slopes along high-speed railways and establishing a monitoring system.
