“Organized” Actions:The Reconstruction of Publicness through Rural Collective Cultural Activities

摘要在快速城市化和国家社会治理转型背景下,中国乡村遭遇人口流失、公共空间衰败和价值观念失落等公共性问题。相对而言,“国家-社会”传统研究视角忽视了乡村居民在乡村生活中的主体性,而“制度-生活”研究视角能够立足村庄本位,结合村落需求,所以更能有效回应乡村面临的公共性问题。宁波Q村与Y村组织举办的集体文化活动说明,乡村文化活动在生活需求主导与制度在场的框架下走向组织有序供给模式,并通过多维激励、关系动员和典型示范等路径有效重塑起乡村公共性,实现乡村社会从个体性到社区公共性乃至社会公共性的转变。研究构建的“主体-行动-价值”分析框架揭示了乡村公共文化活动由谁供给、乡村公共性如何重塑等问题,凸显出乡村公共文化活动在促进乡村振兴与乡村治理中的重要潜力。 Amidst the rapid urbanization and the concurrent transformation of state-based social governance in China,rural communities are grappling with a multitude of publicness-related problems,including population outflow,the decline of public spaces,and the erosion of value systems.Comparatively,the “state-society” research perspective often neglects the subjectivity of the rural residents in their rural lives,while the “institutional-life” research perspective focuses on the village itself and can respond more effectively to the publicness-related problems with a consideration of the actual village needs.The research on Ningbo's Q and Y villages reveals that rural cultural activities have moved towards an organized supply model under the framework of demand-led lifestyle and institutional presence.The multi-dimensional incentives,relational mobilization and exemplary models have effectively reconstructed the publicness of the villages,and realized the transformation of the village society from individuality to community-based publicness and then to social publicness.The analytical framework of “subject-action-value” constructed in this study reveals the issues of who provides rural public cultural activities and how rural publicness is reconstructed,and highlights the important potential of rural public cultural activities in promoting rural revitalization and rural governance.
