Zhuzhou of Hunan Province was an important residence for ancient Yue people during the pre-Qin period, and numerous remains of Yue culture have been discovered. This article selects the Yue-style bronzes scattered in Zhuzhou in recent decades, including bo,rao, ding, sword, and scraper, spanning from the Western Zhou dynasty to the Han dynasties. It is generally believed that the copper bo and rao in the late stage of development were musical instruments used by the Yue people in the south and were mostly unearthed singly.Yue-style tripods,flat-stem swords, and scrapers are common in the tombs of the Yue people in Hunan, while one-character square copper swords are commonly found in southwestern China and Vietnam which may have cultural exchanges with the Hunan.
