摘要
华茶产制技术落后于印、锡等外国茶,是晚清时期华茶对外贸易由盛转衰的重要因素之一,机器制茶在晚清中国被视为实现华茶复兴的关键之策。经过多年坎坷实践,晚清时期零星的“机器制茶”虽有个别短时成功案例,但由于缺乏行业团体与有效组织,自发的机器制茶试验未能成功,民间与官府试图以机器制茶谋求华茶复兴的夙愿终归于失败,未能如愿推动华茶制造从手工制作向机器生产的产业升级,但这些尝试客观促进了民国时期华茶产制技术的进步。
Chinese tea production technology was backward compared with that of foreign tea such as India tea and Srilanka tea,which was one of the important factors for the decline of foreign trade in the late Qing Dynasty.Machine-made tea was regarded as the key to the revival of Chinese tea in the late Qing Dynasty.After many years'bumpy practice,although there were a few short-term successful cases,spontaneous experiments of machine-made tea failed due to the lack of industry groups and effective organization.Consequently,the long-cherished wish of the people and authorities to seek the revival of Chinese tea through machine-made tea finally was shattered,being unable to promote industrial upgrading of Chinese tea from manual production to mechanical production.However,these attempts objectively promoted the development of Chinese tea production technology during the period of the Republic of China.
