摘要
周敦颐对"莲"的描述,既有佛教意象和儒家志向的融合,也兼具儒家至诚和道家主静的修养工夫。一方面,他的哲学思想是建立在儒家的根基之上,透过《爱莲说》可见周敦颐对君子人格的追求;另一方面,他又兼容佛道思想于一体,这既是对佛道的回击,也为宋明理学开启了一条新的思考路径。
ZHOU Dun-yi’s description of Lotus is not only the fusion of Buddhist imagery and Confucian ambition, but also the cultivation of Confucianism and Taoism. On the one hand, his philosophical ideas are based on Confucianism, which can be seen from the Ode to the Lotus Flower showing the pursuit of gentleman personality. On the other hand, he is also compatible with Buddhism and Taoism, which is not only a counterattack on Buddhism and Taoism, but also a new way of thinking for Song Ming Neo-Confucianism.
