摘要
新式中国通史撰著是中国现代新史学发展成就最大的领域之一。中国现代史家批判性继承中国传统史学和通史编纂理论撰著新中国通史,张荫麟在这方面贡献卓著。他系统阐发新通史理论,并以之为指导撰写新中国通史《中国史纲》。他对中国传统史学和通史编纂理论做了"实质性继承",采用长编考异法、追求文史合一、重视历史人物的书写和弘扬以史经世精神。他在融合中国传统与现代史学理论撰著中国通史方面建构了新范式,为中国现代新史学发展开辟了新路径。
The compilation of the new general history of China is one of the greatest achievements in the development of modern Chinese history. Chinese modern historians critically inherited the traditional Chinese historiography and the general history compilation theory in compiling the new general history of China. In this respect, Zhang Yinlin has made outstanding contributions. He systematically elucidated the theory of new general history and used it as a guide in compiling the new general history of China, A Brief History of China. He made a substantial inheritance of traditional Chinese historiography and the theory of new general history compilation, mainly including the adoption of compilation and textual research of many historical materials, the pursuit of the integration of literature and history, and the emphasis on the writings of historical figures and the promotion of the spirit of serving the reality with history. He constructed a new paradigm in integrating Chinese traditional history and the theory of modern history in compiling the general history of China, which initiated a new path for the development of modern Chinese history.
