摘要
1903年至1904年,英国政府悍然发动第二次侵藏战争。文章通过分析认为,在英国政府攫取中国西藏权益之时,英国主流媒体《泰晤士报》在战争前后对中国西藏给予了极大关注,在西藏贸易问题、英俄关系等方面作了大量带有倾向性的报道,对英国国内舆论、政府决策以及国际舆论产生了恶劣影响,对英国发动第二次侵藏战争起到了推波助澜的煽动作用。这充分暴露了《泰晤士报》充当英国政府喉舌,为英国国家利益服务的本质。
From 1903 to 1904,the British government launched a second war of aggression against Tibet.During the war,when the British government seized the rights and interests of China in Tibet,the British mainstream me dia,The Times,had paid great attention to Tibet by delivering a lot of tendentious reports on Tibet's trade issues,British-Russian relations and so on,which had a bad influence on the British domestic public opinion,govern ment decision-making and international public opinion.And the Tibet-related reports became an incitement to the British second invasion of Tibet.It fully exposes the nature of the Times as the mouthpiece of the British government in the service of the British national interest.
