摘要
田汝康在进入人类学领域之前接受的是心理学专业训练,其学士学位论文是周先庚指导的《从汉文和英文笔迹评判男女性别的能力》,这是一篇以英文撰写的心理学实验报告。在抗日战争时期,田汝康曾经参加过伞兵选拔的心理测验工作,并翻译过士兵心理学方面的书。田汝康在云南芒市进行田野研究期间仍与心理学界保持着书信联系。心理学知识是田汝康先生学术专业训练的重要组成部分。
Before entering the field of anthropology, Tien Ju-Kang had accepted professional training in psycholo- gy. His graduation paper,supervised by Zhou Siegen, was The Ability to Judge Sex from Chinese and English Handwriting. It was an psychology experiment report written in English. During the War of Resistance against Japan, Tien took part in the recruiting pilot candidates for Chinese Paratrooper, and had translated several books about ＂psychology for the fighting man＂ into Chinese. During the period of field study in Yunnan, Tien still con- tacted with his psychology teacher. For Tien, psychological knowledge was an important part his academic back- ground.
