摘要
19世纪中后期,中国涌现出一批著名的实业家和思想家,能够很好地兼二者于一身的,郑观应是非常突出的代表。郑观应的生活与事业和上海有着非常紧密的关联,他由一个默默无闻的洋行学徒,一路扶摇直上,成为商界名流与著名思想家。他不但是洋务企业重要的管理人才,他的著作《盛世危言》还赢得了士林广泛赞誉,受到朝廷的高度重视。郑观应为什么能够同时获得实业和思想两个方面的成功?上海为郑观应的成功提供了怎样的机遇和条件?本文以此为中心展开论述。
In the mid and late 19th century,there were lots of industrialists and thinkers in China.Zheng Guanying was one of the outstanding representatives who were both industrialists and thinkers.He played an important role in managing the Foreign Affairs Enterprise,and his book Prosperous Prophecy was applauded by both the government and scholars at that time.This paper discusses why Zheng was successful on both aspects and what opportunities Shanghai had offered to him.
