摘要
综述西瓜多倍体的产生途径、特性特征、鉴定方法及育种的应用与研究新方向。
Polyploid watermelon has many advantages such as seedless, high yield, good tolerance to storage and transportation, high resistance to diseases and pests, and also high soluble solid content. The advances on polyploid watermelon research in the world are reviewed. The ways for polyploidy breeding, the characteristics of polyploidy, the identification of polyploidy, application of watermelon polyploidy, and the prospective for watermelon polyploidy breeding are also reviewed.
