摘要
文化是民族性格的反映。并不厚重的文化底蕴使日本民族早已养成了向外学习的习惯,成为一个勇于和善于吸收外来文化的民族。同时,日本民族对自身的历史文化传统又保持始终不变的尊崇与虔敬,维护其民族文化的主体性。这种兼容与承传的双重性使日本文化具有了采集东西文化成果、消化变形为日本民族独具特色的“和洋结合”文化的特质。
Culture is the reflection of a national character. The thin cultural foundation makes Japan form the habit of learning from others , becoming a nation good at absorbing exotic culture. At the same time, Japan has all along unchanged pieties for its own culture. This twofoldness makes Japan a mixture of oriental and occidental cultures.
