摘要
任何关于后现代性的讨论都要求澄清现代性概念和它基于理性的反思计划。后现代性的固有的现代主义本质起源于理性的批判、元话语瓦解的结果以及对解放的新文化观的迫切需要。与暗指一个历史时期和一种社会的现代性不同 ,后现代性只涉及一种复杂的文化现象。作者认为后现代性是一个不确切的术语 ,它不过是伪装的现代性。在它指对现代性的拒斥时 ,它是无意义的。只有在辩证的世界观中作为对还原论和工具理性的批判 ,它才有意义。它只是对现代性的反思计划的精致扩展。
Any discussion of postmodernity required clarification of the notion of modernity and its reflexive proposal founded on reason.The inherent modernist character of postmodernity originates in the critiques of reason and the consequentcollapse ofmetadiscourses,and also, on the pressing need for a new cultural view for emancipation. Unlike modernity,which alludes to a historical period and a kind of society,postmodernity refersonly to a complex of cultural phenomena.“Postmodemity”,says the author,“is an inaccurate term. When it alludes to the rejection of modernity it makes no sense;when it makes sense,that is as reflexive criticism of reductive and instrumental rationality within a dialectical view of the world,itis no more than a sophisticated extension of the reflexive proposal of modernity”。
