摘要
美国黑人女作家托妮·莫里森的第三部长篇小说《所罗门之歌》使她跻身于美国当代最伟大作家的行列。该书被认为是在《看不见的人》之后内容最扎实的一部美国黑人小说。通过分析主人公奶人的成长过程 ,探讨小说“追寻”的主题 :对真实姓名、文化传统及人性的追寻。
Song of Solomon, the third novel by Toni Morrison, makes her one of the greatest writers in contemporary America. This novel is considered the best Black American novel after the publication of Invisible Man. One of the themes of the novel is discussed through an analysis of the hero Milkman s search: his search for his true name, for his own cultural tradition and for human nature through which he reaches his maturity and becomes a real man.
