Objective To study the effects of local vibration on noradrenalin and dopamine of rabbit brain tissues, and its association with vibration-induced neuropathy. Methods Rabbits were randomly divided into 4 groups and exposed to vibration at different levels for 45 days. After the test, the contents of noradrenalin and dopamine in brain tissues were measured in each group. Results Compared with the control group, the concentration of noradrenalin in all exposure groups decreased significantly (P〈0.01). Dopamine of high and medium exposure groups also decreased significantly (P〈0.01). Conclusions The NE and DA changes in brain tissue might be related to vibration-induced neuropathy.
